Thanks for the kind words! I used a Zoom H4N field recorder, aimed the built-in mic at the lead vocalist, and then plugged two large-diaphragm condensers into the H4N. I brought the audio into Pro Tools afterwards and used the default PT8 compressor and cranked it a bit. I then made a stereo master track and used the Air Stereo Width (with the 'wider' preset) plugin and the Massey Mastering Limiter plugin. If you're in need of some audio or video work, send me a private message.
@telebob Youtube won't let me post a link, but the inspiration for this one-camera video was from something that the Vampire Weekend did - do a search for "Vampire Weekend - Kids Don't Stand A Chance & Oxford Comma"
You guys are AMAZING. Straight up.

Thanks for sharing. This is awesome. I play that piano every time I run the trail but I am afraid you guys made better use of it than I. :-)

@woongsae Oh my, the Zoom H4N looks fantastic. I'm going to have to go rent one of those. Thanks for sharing your expertise : )

Really nice audio and beautiful song, hard to believe that was outside in the wind. What did you interface with to record that?
TheAustim 10 months ago
@TheAustim It was a Zoom H4N with two cheap condensers

I LOVE the audio work on this. The camera work is OK, and the playing is great!
Hats off to Mr. Audio on this one. Two cameras would have been better. But hey.
