Modern Jews are really of German descent, hence names like Bernstein, Goldestein, etc. Ancient Jews were probably much closer to Egyptian stock. Wright is still a bit of a clown, but so are all religious leaders IMHO.

I've never seen such a hypocritical, ignorant, misguided statement in my entire life. Reverend Wright says he is smarter than George Bush, and yet he has learned so little about the Civil Rights Movement and theological history. He would not last a day in a political spectrum. People would think he was insane or at least highly racist against innocent Anglo-Americans who don't have one racist cell in their bodies. The most frustrating part of this speech are the members. They are blind.

Who cares what color Jesus was??????? It doesn't matter what color people view him, Jesus is still Jesus. Many different cultures portray Jesus to be their ethnicity in artwork. It's their way of relating with Him. It does no harm if Europeans see Jesus as white, Blacks see Jesus as black or Asians see Jesus as Asian--He's still the same Jesus!!!
