More than just kicking shit the out of stuff, Bruce Lee's style is something the Pumphreys already use. Lee's style was called 'Jeet Kune Do' (the way of the intercepting fist). The entire principle of the style was to use your opponent's force against them.

So in the way Lee used his opponent's speed and momentum against them the Pumphreys use the mechanic build of an object against it.
