  • is he sending current to a battery or for use. the lamp is not on it will just put higher resistance.

  • pressing down the magnet does it effect the light on the second bulb? Always a nice job :-)

  • Hi mochiam,

no! it will not change anything. The effect has nothing to do with the magnet. I can remove it and it doesn't change a thing. I wish it did.

  • Don't worry there's always a way, just a matter of time :-)

  • @gotoluc if it has no negative effect on the draw, use the arrangement to partially levitate a bearing for a completely different / other project simultaneously, and thus, gain?

  • does the levitation get stronger if the bulb is unplugged?

great job, also on the oscope can you test the hv output or just see what you putting into the circuit, would you recomend this or a stand alone setup.

  • Hi crob227,

yes, the magnet will go up close to 1" if there is no resistance in the flyback return path.

There are many much more qualified then me who are measuring it at this time. I would not recommend to probe the HV flyback unless one is equipped and experienced to do so.

  • is there a reliable/resilient setup with Hv probes you could refer me too? i have save some money to put toward a used one, but dont know enough about them to make a wise decision, Again thanks for the hard work and response.

  • Sorry crob, I'm not the one to ask. My measurement equipment knowledge is basic. You'll have to find that information some other way.

  • awesome!
