Very beautiful scenery about the video though.... did you even have permission to use that music?? If you are going to be a "professional" and make videos for the big guys like ORBX, then make your own music. Use garageband or Sony Acid or something. I dont mean to sound like a troll or a hater, but you really should make your own music for your videos, its not difficult at all.

In this case I won't go for a permission or license, and I will tell you why. This video falls under the section of fair use in the (US) copyright law, simply because this is non-profit. This is not an official ORBX trailer nor is it the RTM version of the scenery, it's a late beta version I get for video and review purposes, and what's most important, I don't get rewarded for the video, therefore I wouldn't call it professional (in this case).

Yes, ORBX uses this video on their product page, but I can't and won't stop them doing so, and it's completely up to them. They like my video..? Fine. If not, so I am fine, too. But no worry, I understand your point, and I agree, if I would be making money out of a video, I would be using royalty free music, only. (which I already did on my paid videos). If I do a video only for fun, like this one, I don't see the evil in spreading other people's art and talent.

yay ..!! the comment I was waiting for ...! because that's exactly what I was wondering when I was doing the flights. FSX even gave me the tailwind side of the runway to take off, as the active runway .. I noticed the tailwind, and I was like wtf..?? well maybe FSX prefers to let me overshoot the runway, rather than crashing in the hills on the other side ... :/

First came the glider shot at 1m30s......and then the drama......and then more. This video is like an onion, it has layers........and can bring a tear to your eye (I miss my family in NZ!)

@ateh1 I'm a Brit, born and bred (50% Scottish, 50% English). But My sister and brother in law moved to NZ seven years ago. I now have two nieces that I can only see on Skype, save for the few weeks every couple of years.

Utterly stunning country with great people. Well worth the £1300 ticket to spend 24 hours trapped in a pressurised metal tube filled with other peoples farts and illnesses!

yes man, and thank you very much for your hint! I can't believe I didnt saw this by myself, I reinstalled REX and everything was fine then. The clouds simply didnt load at first install, weird thing is, I didnt get any error log file about this, and thats what REX officials were wondering about too.. absolutely agree mate, I am so interested in going to New Zealand some day, now that I saw NZ in FSX ..

Transitioning to a different style of music resetting the feel of the video was a nice effect making it like it was time for everyone to bring it in for a landing and that your video was coming to an end "Nice"... you really got me here, it was really a pain deciding which way to go, I liked the very first music a lot, but I had to return to a more "friendly" atmosphere, and find a somewhat peaceful ending, so I decided to take a 2nd song .. as a transition, using a virtual cockpit shot at takeoff is a nice means to an end, that makes it easy to set a new atmosphere with a complete different song..

ateh1 this video is amazing, I absolutely loved the scenery like you said it is probably one of the best ORBX has designed. Great footage of the gliders soaring in the thermals and the smooth landing to a stop with the view of the pilot was nice. In flight, I love of your music came into a dramatic tone with the F18 slowly moving in that was great nice job. Please see my other response to finish this one..........
