Just because a horse is old is no excuse for it to be skinny. If she's skinny than she's obviously not on the right feed, or not getting enough. Age is never a good excuse.
Um people, older horses also can get skinnier. Der. ^^ I have a 22 year old APHA mare, she is recovering from a natural wight loss. Horses tend to get skinnier the older they get. ^^

I am looking into a carrer as an ASPCA officer. people that do these things should have it done to them. I don't know why Capital Punishment isn't used for animal cruelty. Animals have feeling and they have souls. I have met people like this and it takes all of my will power not to kill them.
the horses and ponies that aren't treated well will sadly end up diying. the horses with feet problems will end up laying down crushing their insides and die from starvation and pain. the rodeos are plain mean.the horses that are covered in mud and other materials will die from fever (most likley). the horses at the end are the lucky ones (treated well). we an save the unlucky horses. it is all so sad :-(

i have had to rehab a couple of rodeo horses in my time, rodeos should be banned, the horses buck because of a buck strap not because they are mean, they are wound up in the chute then a buck strap is fitted this freaks them out till they jump, then a madman is placed in the saddle with spurs, how is this not cruel, and do not even get me started on calf roping or steer busting, horses deserve respect and any cruelty shows nothing more than sadistic humans who deserve to pay for their crimes

I can't believe some of you are defending the condition of some of those horses (the skinny ones and the feet)! There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that a horse should slowly starve to death. Age is not an excuse in this day and age of chopped forage, hay cubes, and senior feeds! If you can't take care of a senior horse then find someone who can or do the humane thing!

i agree. i don not disregaurd the fact that hoses are being grossly mis-treated, but not all of the pictures are from animal cruelty. like the horse being picked up with the crane. when a horses dies or has to be put to sleep, how are they going to be picked up? you cant expect a regular person to pick them up. but horses and many animals are being mistreated, and that needs to be stopped, but not all of the pictures are of cruelty.
at 1:11, that may be a result of warped feet and legs...there was a horse at my barn that had to have his feet like that because if the weight was put on his toes, like it is with a normal trim, it would have put so much unbearable pressure on his legs, since he had problems. Some of the ameciated horses may be sick, or just old, and the loss of weight and hair cannot be helped in that situation, so don't be so quick to assume that all of this is neglect or mistreatment.

This kind of abuse makes me very angry. I can't stand people for doing this to poor horses. We have 14.1 hand pony that when we bought her she was thinner than any of these horses and was covered in rain rot with no shelter and she had been beaten. The lady had 80 horses and stuck them all out in a small field with no grass. Now the pony is so fat she is so fat she's on a diet! I hope all the people who abused these horses and our pony rot in hell!

this is soo horrible!! how could anyone live with them self if they just did something like that!! this video made me cry...just to think about it.. and if something like that were ever to happen to my baby when i have to sell her because im moving and its too far for her to come unless we fly her over.. and after seeing this i don't even want to go through the pain of thinking of selling her.. she has to come with me so she doesn't even have a chance of happening to her.. i have had to rehab a couple of rodeo horses in my time, rodeos should be banned, the horses buck because of a buck strap not because they are mean, they are wound up in the chute then a buck strap is fitted this freaks them out till they jump, then a madman is placed in the saddle with spurs, how is this not cruel, and do not even get me started on calf roping or steer busting, horses deserve respect and any cruelty shows nothing more than sadistic humans who deserve to pay for their crimes

I own horses and anyone who'd treat them like that is insane. Although I rodeo, I know alot of people dont get it and think it's violent, when its not. But no one should treat a horse like the ones in the begining of this video.

I can't believe some of you are defending the condition of some of those horses (the skinny ones and the feet)! There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that a horse should slowly starve to death. Age is not an excuse in this day and age of chopped forage, hay cubes, and senior feeds! If you can't take care of a senior horse then find someone who can or do the humane thing!

1:22, omg. I feel so sorry for all the animals who are exposed to assault! But as they wrote lower down , not all the pics showes horses that are being mistreated. Some horses can have desices that resoluts in that the can´t pick up all the protein and other important thing from their food. Then they are starting to look like walking skelettons. But Horseassult is more common then most of the people think, so keep your eyes opened and don´t sell your horse to just "any who". It have to stop

i agree. i don not disregaurd the fact that hoses are being grossly mis-treated, but not all of the pictures are from animal cruelty. like the horse being picked up with the crane. when a horses dies or has to be put to sleep, how are they going to be picked up? you cant expect a regular person to pick them up. but horses and many animals are being mistreated, and that needs to be stopped, but not all of the pictures are of cruelty.

at 1:11, that may be a result of warped feet and legs...there was a horse at my barn that had to have his feet like that because if the weight was put on his toes, like it is with a normal trim, it would have put so much unbearable pressure on his legs, since he had problems. Some of the ameciated horses may be sick, or just old, and the loss of weight and hair cannot be helped in that situation, so don't be so quick to assume that all of this is neglect or mistreatment.

This kind of abuse makes me very angry. I can't stand people for doing this to poor horses. We have 14.1 hand pony that when we bought her she was thinner than any of these horses and was covered in rain rot with no shelter and she had been beaten. The lady had 80 horses and stuck them all out in a small field with no grass. Now the pony is so fat she is so fat she's on a diet! I hope all the people who abused these horses and our pony rot in hell!
