  • This is so bad for the Guinea Pig! I have been raising pigs my whole life and you can't give them a bath! They will get sick from it! You should wash them only when needed because they do clean themselves and if you do need to wash them you should use a damp washcloth, not put them in a bathtub.

  • cute

  • Happy doesn't seem so happy.. ;P

  • my guinea pigs try to jump out of the tub however there only a year but still @fluffypetal84 mine do the same

  • Aw. Give that little piglet some parsley for being such a trooper! <3

  • My girls dont like baths either.....they jump and squeal like im murdering them!!!!

  • @FluffyPetal84 i cannot stop laughing after reading ur comment

  • i bathe my gp too :)

  • OMG...so cute...She/he is so simular ti my guinea pig..)))

  • A bath is good for guinea pigs! They've clearly have long hair then they need a bath reguraly! It's not a rabbit, it's not a hamster... It needs one whether it wants it or not it's good for it's health. Lmao to all the dislikes! -.-

  • awhh my guinea pig used to do that R.I.P sammy ;(.

  • @lainybabe3307 ohhh.... I'm Sorry

  • also, I had a piggy n he died of old age, I gave him baths, he didn't like it but he never got sick or anything.

    RIP WeeWee :c

  • PIGGIES NEED BATHS ONCE IN A WHILE. GEEZUS IT'S NOT GONNA DIE ON 2 INCHES OF WATER.

    Not all piggies like water, true, but like MOST pets, they need a bath. Even vets say they need one. Seriously it's not like they're punching it >>;;

  • @RAININGBLOOD09 If it's bleeding, could be just their heat too...

Why are their so many dislikes? It's a bath! Every animal needs a bath... god.

  • Guinea pigs can get fecal matter & dried urine in the fur on their backsides. There is NOTHING wrong with bathing them occasionally as long as the water isn't too hot or too deep. You "animal rights experts" don't know a damn thing.

  • lucky. i have to bath mine in the sink and they aways jump on me

  • he is so cute

  • My guinea pig does the same sound everytime haha!

  • wtf is with that guys foot at 0:19?? lol

  • This is NOT hurting them. Yeah they might be a bit nervous about the water at first but how else are you gonna get your guinea pigs clean? Most of them like the water! :)

  • lol in the begining he is like just shampoo me up man

  • Awhhhh its so cute. My guniea pig hates water so I have to use this weird spay that has to dry then I have to comb out and to everyone who thinks giving them a bath is abuse it is actually for their health so they don't get sick

  • = _ = I feel like the only mature 13 year old in this world. I don't get how this is abuse or how its hurting him.

  • @christineyoyop I thought i was the only mature teen pretty much but atleast i'm not the only one. But ya how is this hurting him? He/she is not even scared.

  • @IXGuilmonXI I know ._. they wheek if they are happy or scared. and this sounds happy. It looks like it is having fun, and its not biting the owner. So it is apparently happy. People either freak out on this or say CUTTEEE on something that should be deleted from youtube.

  • ITs not deep, and it is not drowning. Calm your tits.

  • @OhMyLuluz xD

  • Where are all you guys mumbling about? This Guinea looks and sounds happy to me, the reason why its jumping is probably because one of its keepers is standing there or it hates to be in the same bath with a dude, which is understandable from my point of view! ;)

  • what is hes feet in the tum?

  • THAT"S LIKE MEH PIGGY! He tries to jump out and fails....

  • nice foot.

    3

    +

  • poor guinea pig!

  • @Guineapigstar11 Poor guinea pig?? Every Guinea Pig needs a bath!

  • 0:22 hey take of your foot

  • You all seem to be really caring about how this guinea pig is taking a bath.

Well, most other countries the PEOPLE are dying and can not bath until they get to a dirty river and probally later on are un-treated for the many diseases and other hazadorus materials from the desert. And you just have to worry about how the pets that only live for 4-7 years are getting abused? Maybe you should think about how lucky your are to be alive.

  • mine can all most jump out of the bath tube

  • really, guys, really? people feed these cute little creatures to snakes and you're going to call abuse when they try to CLEAN THEM? really, really??

  • I love the noise they make it's almost a squeak :3

  • Cute just like my guinea :) Fox whom shall RIP

  • @MsClanta I just say some words: You're retarded

  • people the guinea pig obviously doesnt like it, but my dogs dont like it eather and i bathe them all the time. heck i dont even like to take baths but its NECESSARY

  • HES SOO CUTE!!

  • haha! he looks like my guinea pig :D named Chip

  • he is so adorable!

  • Beautiful coloring on the piggie!

  • Guinea pigs clean themselves. They do NOT need a bath, it's a purely man-made thing!

  • @spyN09 They can end up smelling and attracts insects, that's fine in the wild but not in a domestic environment, so an occasional bath doesn't hurt.

  • @rockandstroll - I've never bathed my pigs and they've lived in an average life of 5,7 years. (Had 3 in total, the first alone and the two together). They never attracted insects. What's attracting insects though, is the cage in which you keep them. If it isn't cleaned 1-2 times a week they will suffer. Yet it doesn't affect their fur. Mine's never been dirty and they've always cleaned themselves, there is no need if you just keep them properly.

  • @spyN09 That is true for those who keep them in a cage. But some people keep them in hutches some of the time, and those are outside so thats more so when insects or dirt/mud can affect the piggies.

  • @The0Apple0of0His0Eye - You'll still need to clean those hutches 1-2 times a week. It makes all the difference. There isn't really a big difference. Insects gets inside the house, too.

  • @spyN09 they DOOOOO need a bath! just like any other animal.

  • @FanofApawk18 - Incorrect. They clean themselves and if you just clean their cage 1-2 times a week they'll be FINE. And no, it's not all animals that needs baths. But that doesn't matter, because guinea pigs clean themselves.

  • @spyN09 yeah i do that and sometimes my guinea pig still gets dirty underneath. So i give him a short bath once in a while. Its not a big deal, and its not a cruel thing anyways.. Just becasue they clean themselves doesnt mean they get everywhere. Like there feet, and their oil glands.. Research more.

  • @FanofApawk18 - Then you don't have the suitable materials for your guinea pig, if you clean your cage 2 times a week and it appearently still causes shit getting stuck beneath its feet, then you use materials that aren't suitable at all for the cage's underlayment since it turns into dirt that fast. I'll tell you something though, if they eat healthy it's reflected in their fur, meaning it will get very soft which my guinea pigs always had = they were always clean.

  • @FanofApawk18 - So you should indeed have researched more yourself. And really, giving a guinea pig a bath just to clean its feet? Are you kidding? You can clean that off with paper /w, however, it's still just a reflection of how good you are at cleaning your cage when needed. Facts are, guinea pigs don't need baths since it's a purely man-made thing. It's a fact they maintain a healthy soft and clean fur by eating healthy and they clean themselves up front when needed.

  • @FanofApawk18 - In all the 15 years I've had 3 pigs, with an average life of nearly 6 years, my guinea pigs not once got such dirt as you speak of under their feet. They were never dirty at all, so maybe it's you who need to look after them a bit more into when the cage should be cleaned. Giving a guinea pig a bath just to clean its feet is just bullshit. (Please read the other comments too because I don't want to repeat myself when you reply).

  • @spyN09 okay first off you didnt need to send me fucking five messages!!! and second off i do clean my cage alot. and i just dont clean my guinea pig for its feet? duhh i know i can just clean it off with a fucking towel or wipe. i bathe him when ever he starts to get too dirty or something like once every few months. yes my guinea pig is always clean, i never said he was dirty!! im saying sometimes they do get dirty.

  • @FanofApawk18 - I wrote 3 messages, learn to count?

  • @spyN09 i was being sarcastic.

  • @spyN09 and.. why would they make freaking guinea pig shampoo if it was bad to bathe them? ITS NOT. It says on pages that sometimes guinea pigs cant clean every part of them soo you should clean them every once in a while. maybe you use a c&c cage that you do not really have to clean them all that much. but i hardly ever bathe my guinea pig as well. . . ive only bathed him once since ive had him..

  • @FanofApawk18 - You'd make shampoo because it's a industry in which someone saw a busines could be made, because it is clearly a man-made thing to bath a guinea pig. I used a cage with sawdust as underlayment and that requires to get cleaned every 1-2 times a week. You see, if you only bath him that rare why even do it in the first place? You see, you're already getting where I want you. I want you to realize that it is not needed, at all.

  • @spyN09 Ha, okay. no one said it was a man made thing to bathe a guinea pig. and who said i only clean his feet?? I clean his fur and everything. In between baths i use a cloth. His fur is perfectly fine and still in great soft condition. Soo dont tell me its wrong to doo something that is harmless. No one said that bathing an animal is bad? Yes some rodent can get wet tail and such but guinea pigs cant other then irritation if you wash them alot..

  • @FanofApawk18 - You said you only cleaned his feet, you just did in the ealier comments. See, again, you don't need to bath the guinea pig at all when it's having a healthy diet. I already told you it's reflected in the softness etc. It maintain itself clean that way, too. It is not completely harmless since the guinea pig will only try to get away due to feeling uncomftable. Irritation etc are caused by mites, and you take care of those by medicine, not by washing since mites are beneath skin.

  • @spyN09 No i was giving you examples on why you should bath him. I never exactly said that i bathe him because of his feet. NEVER. And my guinea pig is completely comforted in the water. He never tries to run away. He just sits there. Well irritation is also caused by washing too much because your drying out the skin. But, i dont wash him alot..

  • @FanofApawk18 - Well then you clearly need to be clearer when you're stating an example. You said he gets dirty beneath, and you mentioned feet, too. No he may not move but that's still not a sign of him being comftable at all. If he were to be happy he'd move around as if he still was in his cage. And you just won't learn from what I'm saying? Why the hell do you think I'm saying bathing it is not needed at all when you, too, now say washing causes dry skin? Christ sake, stop being ignorant.

  • @spyN09 Okay? None of my reasons are good enough are they? If he was uncomfortable i would think that he would squeak and try and get out.. Mine is perfectly fine. AND i said washing dries out skin when you wash a guinea pig alot. If you wash him every few months or whatever then its not gonna dry out their skin. This is my opinion im done with this stupid bullshit fighting and im not being ignorant.

  • @FanofApawk18 - Yes you're tired of this because you're not a fan of admititng that you could be wrong. I know what you said and that only reinforce my argument. If you're only gonna do it every few months what's the point then? I asked you this ealier and you didn't reply to that. Facts are: Guinea pigs don't require baths since their diet provides what they need for a clean skin. Along with that it's required to clean their cage every 1-2 times a week to prevent unnecessary crap.

  • @FanofApawk18 - And I do of course, too, mean that their healthy diet provides clean fur. Nonetheless they clean themselves so yes it is only a huge man-made busines. It's totally unnecessary. Some guinea pigs hates it, some may enjoy it to some extent, however, it still doesn't justify bathing them. Many says that it's to clean parasites, mites etc, when they actually are being igorant since parasites are beanth its skin, therefore untouchable. Only medical treatment helps it.

  • @FanofApawk18 - So I'm afraid that your arguments still don't help you proving me wrong that you're ignorant in this case. I'm not criticizing you as a person, nor do I hate you. I just don't like when people try to convice others with stuff that is untrue. I hate that as much as when christians try to convince people of God when they litteraly can't provide any truths to wether God exist or not. And now you quit because you finaly realize your arguments are no use.

  • @spyN09 Haha okay thats exactly why im quitting? No, im tired of fighting, i have better things to do atm. I still believe its okay to bathe a guinea pig, and i will keep doing so.. Just like almost every other guinea pig owner out there. Make sure you see the almost, yes i know that some owners dont like batheing their guinea pig. Thats fine. I do. So, goodbye.

  • @FanofApawk18 - Don't blame yourself as it is a tendency among teenagers to deny that they're wrong. This is not fighting at all, why are you so offended by this? This is called debating with arguments. If you had better things to do, which I don't doubt, then why do you care that much to reply yet again with something like this that still don't help you? Again you're assuming that almost everyone is like that. In the future you shouldn't try to oversee others arguments = immature.

  • @spyN09 huh? im not blaming myself? where do you keep getting all this crap. and im not denying that im wrong? im just saying my opinion. i dont think its wrong alot and lots of people out there dont either. im deff not offended by this arguement. but okay. like i said again goodbye. dont even reply back.

  • @FanofApawk18 - This time I was being sarcastic, hehe. Okay you're not denying you're wrong, good, then you could perhaps spare all the other people with your none factual arguements / lies? :)

  • @spyN09 And i would apperciate you not to act like im such a bad pet owner, because im not. I clean is cage all the time. I feed him everyday with nutritional food, i feed him veggies and have nice toys in there for him to chew and play with. Bathing is not a cruel thing to do. Yes it does irritate there skin, but only if you bathe them alot! You can bathe them every few months or every few years... Its not a bad thing.

  • @FanofApawk18 - I don't act like you're bad pet owner. You're just clearly ignorant and you don't understand that it's not needed at all to bath guinea pigs. "Bath them every few months"... Then it is utterly useles if you do it that rare and you only clean its feet? Can't you see how useless that is? And no guinea pigs doesn't take damage from being in water, but they sure as hell hate it. Let me sum it up: bathing a guinea pig is just bullshit since it's not needed at all.

  • I am too scared to bathe a guinea pig. I had one when I was little and the water wasn't shallow enough...she drowned even though I tried to keep her head up TT.TT

  • @Nagem1617

You could put the pig in the sink, or give it a dust bath o u o :)

Poor pig ): Was anyone watching him/her?

  • @RoseChiko me and my dad were trying to keep her head up, she was so stubborn TT.TT It was a wash basin but we filled it too much :( But I know what to do next time I have a piggie

  • shut up you cunts....THE GUINEA PIG NEEDS A BATH FROM TIME TO TIME!!! because it will STINK LIKE A MOTHERFUCKING SKUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'm ok with the fact that its taking a bath. But your just teasing it while making this video!

  • Do not you see that it wants out?!

should if you have a guineapig we also know that you can not swim!!!

  • Poor guinea pig! I've got one and that is certainly not how to bathe them. It doesn't like it obviously and therefore you don't have to take that long bath!!!

  • This guinea pig is not happy, it's terrified. The noise it is making means it is distressed.

  • Hes happy! Aww! I love giving my piggys baths!

  • so cute

  • Um this is called giving a guinea pig a bath. how the hell is this abusing the animal in anyway. Of course it doesnt like it, some dogs dont like baths too. But its got to happen

  • Comment removed

  • @Piggys200 for instance some guinea pigs doesnt like getting their feet touched either but sometimes thats necessary.

  • That "wheek" sound the guinea pig makes is actually a good sound, but usually made when the guinea pig thinks it's going to be fed or given fresh water.

  • he obviously doesnt like it but if you have to bathe him i suggest putting him in a shallow bowl or container so he can climb out of it if he wants to

  • I love seeing all the butthurt fucktards in videos like these

  • I hope he bit your toe

  • He doesn't fuck*ng like it. Jerks.

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time i c a fucking guinea pig video theres always the mother fucking peta wannabes saying its hurt a hurt guinea pig is when its bleeding or something not when its walking in water

wat if it was in mud and it needed a bath are you just gonna keep it dirty or are u going to clean it

so for gods sake it needed a bath and its not hurt i might be scared because of the water being kind of new to it when its on its feet but its not hurt!

  • @RAININGBLOOD09 You make no sense. o_o

  • @Tiffiesaurus how 43 people are thinking the guinea pig is hurt so wat if it was dirty their gonna clean it and people are saying its abusing it

  • @RAININGBLOOD09

oh yeahh. ^.^ I hate it too. Just because guinea pigs KIND OF look like hamsters, they think that they should be taking sand baths. What noobs. Baths for guinea pigs are healthy. ^.^

  • @RAININGBLOOD09 Actually, I think they are just Trolls or Spammers... if you notice, it's usually the same stuff said; over and over... by the SAME people. So annoying they are!

  • @RAININGBLOOD09 1 comment about u your stupied and crazy

  • Aww hes crying!!! :(

  • that looks a lot like my baby

  • EWWW THERE IN THE BATHTUB WITH THE GPIG!!!!!!!!!!! EWWWWWW THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST GPIG BATH IVE SEEN

  • EWWW THERE IN THE BATHTUB WITH THE GPIG!!!!!!!!!!! EWWWWWW THIS IS THE WORST GPIG BATH IVE SEEN

  • Never ever give a guinea pig a bath! So very wrong!

  • You all better stop freaking out. It is SAFE for a guinea pig to take baths, you just have to make sure he feels comfortable, and he doesn't sit there in the water without any warmth or he will catch a cold.

It's not that guinea pigs can't take a bath, because they are recommended for them from time to time, but the only mistake I see with this guy is how he doesn't comfort the guinea pig, nor takes him out of the water when he's done. It's gonna catch a cold and die if you're not careful...

  • Guinea Pigs do not like to take a bath. This is not good for your guinea pig...

  • When bathing any animal it is nice for them just to put a towel on the bottom of the tub so they can grip on to something. ;)

  • HEY EVERYONE watch my videos of my guinea pigs they are well cute ;D

  • Your guinea pig says, get me out of the tub!

  • Aww! Such a cute piggie! One tip: Do you bath with just water? You're supposed to use baby shampoo, that way they will smell good! Check out my video.

  • i bath my piggys 1 every 2 months. they dont like it. but they can tolorate them. :D

  • LINNY!

  • Happy is squeeling so he/she seems to be rather unphased by being wet. :P I would have figured theid hate it, but this one seems quite pleased with it.

  • I want a guinea pig just like that!

  • Here is a tip for further misconceptions,

Bathe a Guinea Pig in a Sink with Tepid/Lukewarm water and bathe them all over, baths are extremely dangerous to them because they could get caught in the Drain or Drown.

  • @heyheyheyheyhi14 maybe if you fill the tub all the way, and you keep the drain open somehow. Giving a Guinea Pig a bath in a bath is perfectly fine as long as you supervise them and you don't fill the tub with too much water.

  • hey guys, i just got a guinea pig and ild like to know if thats te best way to give it a bath.

  • @jayjayprincess no its not, fill the sink or a bowl with warm water just get them wet shampoo them outside of the water rinse and than dry, if he doesn't like water keep your hand on him/hold him to try and make him feel safe.

  • wheek wheek wheek wheek :)

  • It sais on a website you should clean them every 2 weeks... Not three times a year...

    ?

  • Wow ur guinea pig looks like a doll that came alive o_o

  • AWWWWWWWWW BIG EYES

  • How much does a guinea pig cost?

  • @ManSmokingACigarette $20 - $40, but thats without the food, the cage, etc.

  • maybe the pig didn't want to share a bath with you and was trying to escape

  • @Rogerisnowonline actually its easier to keep your hands on them they get squirmy around water.

  • DID ANYONE EVER SAY YOUR GUINEA PIG LOOKS JUST LIKE HURLEY FROM G-FORCE?... [:

  • Are u supossed to give them baths?

  • @GuineaForce yes you are especially long hair guinea pigs it prevents matting and also you need to keep in mind that they spend thier lives peeing and ppoping all over so that needs to be washed.

  • so cute i love how they squeak lol

  • This reminds me...I need to give mine a bath sometime soon...

  • heesssssssssss sooooooooooooooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • guinea pigs NEED baths, especially males. they CAN (not will) get sick if you don't wash them because they CAN get all blocked up in their private parts, and they're more likely to get mites etc.

    BUT:

    1) you have to use special shampoo if you use any at all.

    2) you should pour water on them gently rather than stick them in a tub, and if you do put them in a tub make sure it's not too deep, up to their tummies or so

    3) they can swim but it's not the best thing for them!

and my pigs love it! :)

  • Plus you can stack the buckets when you're done. Its also handy to have two towels near by. If you think about it wild animals don't live in their own filth. My guinea would be mad at me for three days but then he'd get over it after I would spoil him with his favorite organic kale and carrot tops.

  • I had a two bucket system. First I would give mine a rinse with warm water because their body temp is higher than ours so they get cold really fast. Put them on a towel to soap them down its much easier that way they don't slide around and you can throw the towel in wash. Then dunk in one bucket that way you can hold them and they feel more secure. When that gets sudsy take em out and dunk in the other. That helps get most of the soap off with minimal squirming. Keep head above of course.

  • i had this guinea pig just look exactly like him. TWINS!!!~ xD

  • i love that noise he looks like a panda

  • i love that noise

  • its not good to give gini pigs a bath. they sometimes die by that

  • @xJinix100 Guinea Pigs actually need a bath, at least once a month anyways. I give my two Pigs baths once every month. :)

  • @xJinix100

my 2 guinea pigs lived for 3 1/2 years and we must have bathed them like 100times and they never died.

  • @xJinix100 actually they need a bath atleast once a month ...but i dont think the bath is the best place or video taping it and laughing thats mean u need to comfort them...also the sink is better

  • @xJinix100 No they don't. They would actually die of illness if they weren't given a bath AT ALL. Think about it. Sorry but it pisses me off whenever anyone says you shouldn't give a guinea pig a bath. ALL animals need to be washed!

  • Comment removed

  • @boffinme80 Really???? My guinea pig never touched a drop of water in his life and he died at the age of 11! So, you're wrong, they don't die of illness. And Jinix is right, water is not good for guinea pigs.

  • @Hasigirl87 Uhn you cannot say I'm wrong. I've studied Animal Care for 3 years so I know about this. They DO get sick and they can get ill if they haven't washed.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, that you shouldn't bath guinea pigs at all is downright ignorant. Putting them in a bath isn;t suitable but putting them in a small tub with water up to their feet is okay and I don't get why people like you disapprove of washing them. My guinea pigs got sick after not having a bath and they would stink.

  • @Hasigirl87 "So, you're wrong, they don't die of illness" That is untrue. My guinea pig Daisy died from an acute URI. We didn't catch it fast enough and the day we were driving to the vet (October 7 2010) she died in my arms, she was five years. Guinea pigs can surely die from illness. And water is unsafe for them but they do need to get a bath every once in a while. I don't think they will die if they don't get a bath, but it is good hygiene. :)

  • @Hasigirl87 some piggys do need baths... mine gets greese build up from his greese gland and the vet told me to give him a bath every other month or when needed. So you dont know what your talking about google it and people and vets recomend bathing few times a year... and 11...? the life span is 6-8yrs. If you think baths are wrong try calling a handful of vets and get back to me.

  • @Hasigirl87 SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • The name of my brothers guinea pig is also happy!

  • HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO LOOK AT A STUPID VIDEO OF PEOPLE TORTURING THEIR GUNEA PIGS BY PUTTING THEM IN WATER. THEY HATE WATER. THEY HATEEEEEEEEEE WATEEEEER. FUCK. hes not happy, why would you label this as happy. HE IS SCARED.

  • @treehamallama

    OMG HAHAA

i replied to your comment exactly like this on another video! :)

thanks for the advice on how to bathe a guinea pig btw :)

  • Comment removed

  • @treehamallama CHILL THE FUCK OUT guinea pigs need bathes fucking retard

  • @Guineapigaddict

    Omgggg,

The way to give a guinea pig a bath is to put them in the bathroom sink on a wet towel so they can grip the floor and put like an inch of water in (enough to cover their feet) and slowely poor water on them bit by bit to rinse off shampoo. i did bathe my guinea, just NOT LIKE THIS.

  • @treehamallama there doing it just fine its not your guinea pig so its not your business so why should you care

  • @Guineapigaddict if you can say that you might as well ask why the company for animal rights cares about all animals. i feel the same way. weather or not i own the pet i like to see them in as little stress as possible, ESPECIALLY when it can be avoided.

  • @treehamallama its fineeee, its not like there hurting it

  • @treehamallama My two pigs LOVE to get in the bathtub and play. I put 2-3 inches of water in the bottom, toss in some floating toys (they love throwing a toothbrush around), and they go to town and get bathed in the process. There is nothing wrong with using thet bathtub so long as the water isn't super deep. So how is "NOT LIKE THIS" bad?

My parrot doesn't like baths either, but she still gets them. If you think this is abuse, you haven't seen real abuse.

  • @DeadlyChinchilla ok ill admit its not that bad

  • @treehamallama OMG!! THEY NEED TO BE BATHED A FEW TIMES A YEAR. ASK ANY VET... ARE YOU STUPID THIS LITTLE GUY ISNT BEING ABUSED YOU F
