@violinblman do what he's done - leave them both in the same tank, but so much so that the male can't touch the female but can see her, so that he'll be inclined to build a massive nest while she builds up the courage to face him, so she doesn't get killed or something during the spawning. hope this helps :)

@1giggles2giggles3 SOME bettas require that. The reason he did it for 2 weeks is because bettas especially females, need to know that there is sufficent food and be in the best of health for breeding. Feeding them live foods or even some freeze dried bloodworms every other day, sometimes every day in small amounts gets them ready. Sometimes they dont need those things, but its better if you do. Betta males build bubble nests all the time, its the female u must be sure about before releasing her

Thanks, they spawned but i had other troubles with keeping the fry alive during their firs week (they would not accept any mirco/walter worms nor any liquifry) I think the overwhelming amount of vegetation in my tank and little microorganisms (bigger than the fry) might have caused their demise. I'm going to redo this again with a cleaner, bare-bottom tank...
I have tried them, believe me, the fry were too small to eat them and did not respond at all...
Hopefully the next batch will respond. Too much crap was going on in the last tank setup (with all the plants, algae, and little mites..) This time ill keep the tank free of any distractions..

sounds like yuo just have a pissy fish lol. wether or not you leave the nest really is up to you, it wont affect his health either way. but if your fish gets that miffed about it then you may want to leave it there if you can just so he can be happy

you can, but mash them up to almost a powder,
the best thing to feed them are baby brine shrimp.
also, they need a sponge filter, SPONGE FILTER.

Umm I have a blue normal beta and he has made a bubble nest and I dont wish for him to breed. Do I remove the nest and let him start over or let him keep going?

if you dont want him to breed then dont introduce him to a female. it takes 2 to tango

it doesnt matter, i leave the nests in my tanks until water change day, but they make more right afterwards

sounds like yuo just have a pissy fish lol. wether or not you leave the nest really is up to you, it wont affect his health either way. but if your fish gets that miffed about it then you may want to leave it there if you can just so he can be happy

i had a crown tail and female ready to breeding but when i bought a half moon he start making bubbles when he saw the female so when i put the crowntail and halfmoon fight if who wins the fight gets the female betta to breed

look at the bottom of the tank but and if the male has taken out the egges they will hatch in about two days feed them only frozen brine shrimp (crushed)or micro worms.change the water with a turky baster teh thing that parents use to clean a babys nose then also seperate the female one the males has

your fughtung fishes dont like each other or the female doesnt like the nest or when the male flares so heres what you do
1.try again
2.when your mails bubble nest is big put the female in a picher or glass cup then put it in the aquarium then later chek if the female likes the nest and the male put plants vy the way so the female can hide and when its ready whtin 2 days the fry will hatch so when you see the fry all grown up seperate the males while if you want put the females together.
