  • btw, i got mine on sale for ~$30. it was a holiday thing, but on the website, they have both the sensors lab and the learning lab. =)

  • hey thanks, this was really helpful! i recently bought the radioshack electronic sensors lab and although it's kind of different from yours, your videos still helped me a lot! thank you!

  • loll

  • capacitors will keep a charge for a good while, its nothing strange at all. When you turned the circuit on it sent the electrons into it and some of them will stay.

  • Does anyone know where to download the PDF files for the workbooks now that Radio Shack no longer sells this product?

  • they still sell it lol... i found it at my local radioshack yesterday!

  • they still sell the product I just went and bought it today it was like $79 for me (w/ taxes and evrything 2 pakcs of batteries) but they are like 69.99

  • Rat Shack still sells it. Electronics Learning Lab

    Model: 28-280, Catalog #: 28-027

  • thanks ive got that kit but im not learning too much with it :C cause i just put the stuff hwere it says like f4 t5 6v and stuff like that and i dont really understand diagrams

  • These videos are really great! Thank you.

I'm sure many people who can't afford the kit are having plenty of fun just following along in these vids. Thanks again and keep up the great videos.

  • I got a kit on ebay for $25. It was surplus from Virginia Tech. I think the guy selling them had like 50 more or something.

It's called the "Pencilbox" made by E&L Instruments.

It doesn't have the exact same digital chips, but those are fairly cheap to buy separately.

Comes with 2 breadboards, clock circuit, LED indicator lights, Logic switches, debounced pulser buttons, and +5V power supply.

  • where can i get all the stuff?

    how much it cost.

  • who is '''us ''' ...i c u ...no 1 else

  • was it cold where you are working? lol

  • I like Electronics so much! so cool!

  • cool

  • kool

  • Thanks im learning with you,

You know I normaly freez up because my brain cant stop thinking how stupid i am when im trying to learn things infront of otehr people & i just slow to a grinding hault,

but i can learn & no stress this way, Thank you.

  • nice video!

  • The Gold band (last band) is for tolerance. It tells you how close the resistance value will be to its actual value. For example if your resistor is 1K ohm, the last color tells you how close (in a percentage) that the actual resistance will be. And yes, components are never perfect.

  • Dude, you are going to blow that meter. You are using it as a Volt meter and not as an Amp meter. Volts are read "Across" resistors etc. Amps are read "through" a circuit. That meter should not be cranking flat out when you switch that circuit on. Not sure why its reading that small amount of current when your circuit is off.

  • Thanks for the info you defiantly helped me out with this. Keep up the good work.

  • are these videos available for purchase?, if so please provide info and phone#
