  • I found the hymn in The New National Hymnal #93 (redbook) and the African American Heritage Hymnal #240. (beige book) Nice version jamminondakeys!

  • I enjoyed listening to this song. where can I get the music to it?

  • Most hymnals include this hymn.

  • @jamminondakeys I looked in the songbooks that I have and did not find it. I'm southern Baptist, Do I need to borrow a hymnal from a Black Church? I will keep looking and asking around. Keep up the good work. God will bless you for playing his music.

  • Interesting. A Black Church Hymnal certainly will have it (especially Baptist). If you don't find it let me know and I'll try to get it too as soon as I can.

  • @jamminondakeys I haven't found it yet, can you make a copy of the song with all 3 verses and chorus just like you did on You Tube, I like the way you play the song. Let me know if you can.

  • I am so glad that this song is on youtube. I have to play this on sunday for our morning hymn at my church. I am AME and its #475 in our hymn books.

  • lol I have my hymnal open singing along...

  • Beautiful song!

  • GREAT song!  Well done!

  • When on the cross of Calvary, the Lord was crucified;

    the mob stood 'round Him and mocked until He died.

    Two thieves were nailed beside Him to share the agony,

    but one of them cried out to Him, O Lord remember me.

    Chorus

    Will the Lord remember me when I am called to go'

    When I have crossed death's chilly sea, will He His love there show'

    O yes, He heard my feeble cries, from bondage set me free,

    and when I reach the pearly gates He will remember me.

  • O, what a shame to kill Him there on that rugged cross;

    but such a death was needed to rescue all the lost.

    His blood made a ransom to set the captives free,

    I know that I'm included and He will remember me.

    Chorus

    Verse 3

    At His dear feet I'm kneeling, my sins I now confess;

    I bow in deep repentance, my soul He'll surely bless.

    My blinded eyes He opens so that the light I see,

    and when I reach the pearly gates, He will remember me.

  • What a grand old hymn. I love to sing this in church and never cease to tear up each time. Thank you for your wonderful rendition.

  • Oh yes he heard my feeble cry and set me free, OH LORD REMEMBER ME!!!
