Hello Greg it's Greg as per our conversation this is an aftermarket replacement for a 4 point ignition module ,tytronics PA020042 for the oem invensys in your 4 burner unit, greg i could not relocate the fenwal thread i tried at fenwal controls and found many ignition modules but do not know which of those are plug and play. There does not appear to be a conversion table at kidde fenwal.
Thanks Greg. As we discussed on the phone, it's sad when aftermarket parts are better than OEM -- especially when we're talking about such relatively simple electronic components in a multi-$M cooktop.
All the burners on my Maytag Gemini gas range are "clicking" and not stopping... Does anyone have a "clip" to show me how to fix this (by replacing ignitors???).
Yes, I discovered that you are right. We replaced the igniter module last month (finally got Blue Star to admit there was a problem)and everything works fine now -- I didn't realize this video was still on line -- it's not relevant anymore so I'll take it down tonight.
Please leave it up! You'd be surprised how many people have the same type of problems, but have to spend their limited resources to hire someone to fix a simple issue. Thanks for sharing!
It turns out it was a bad ignition module which we finally got Bluestar to replace. Thanks for your thoughts -- I didn't realize this video was still on line -- since it's not relevant anymore, I'm going to take it down tonight.
Turned out the issue with ours was a bad ignition module. If you still have this problem keep bugging BlueStar to fix it. Who knows, you might get lucky. BlueStar is part of Prizer-Painter - I think they're in Reading PA. If my old notes are correct, try this phone number (and be persistent) 800.449.8691
My new BS range works great so far. Boils water pretty good!

You should leave the video up so that if other people have similat problems with their cooktop they can get an answer to the problem.

And it looks like you're upallday2 -- yes, that's probably a good idea, I'll leave it up for a while longer.

You have a bad ignitor at the left rear burner. The temp probe inside the ignitor is not informing the control unit that the burner has been lited.

Check your leads, are they hooked up properly to the corresponding burner?
