I'm originaly from Texas,came to Louisiana May 05 to Monroe La. I moved to Metarie Dec 05 then to Slidell Nov 07. I wasn't actually in Katrina but the effects are the same. I lost my mother, I lost 3 dogs, my storage in Dallas that contained my 4 bedroom home and I lost my car. So I can relate to this song. I consider myself an honary Louisian. It spite of all my losses while living here I still love this place.
