  • nice pc

  • gay... normal PC-system, nothing cool

  • 0:01 for no ads

  • The cables you dont know where to put..i am pretty sure you can put them behind motherboard base plate, there is some cable management stuff bag there. You know what i mean ?

  • @MissMan666 I've improved it a lot recently, cables look a lot better now. Got a new video up on the Aaronage1 channel :)

  • do you think i can run gta4 on...

    700w psu

    msi790fx gd-70

phenom II x4 965 black edition 3.4 ghz

    Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB (4x1gb) 1600mhz ddr3

tuniq tower 120 (the black one)

    xfx ati radeon HD5770

    windows 7 32bit

Just wondering how well it would run gta4. everything stock

  • @wiifan62 Will run fine on high i think :)

  • @wiifan62 It will run it on high. But I would advise you go with 64 bit, as on 32bit you will have around 2.8-3.4GBs of available memory (unless you use PAE, which doesn't work in the real world unless your a server for some strange reason). GTA IV loves ram... and letting it have all of your 4gb will help with responsiveness.

  • @dezontk well theres my problem.i dont want that ram i posted because everyone said its bad. i want some ram that is plug and play seeing as this is my first build. so if you could help m e out by finding me some ram that will work with that mobo that will be plug and play that would be much appreciated. id like to keep the cost as low as i can while still having good ram. not sure how much to get so just throw some at me that would be plug and play. i can only use 32 bit seeing as its all i hav

  • @wiifan62 I don't really understand what you mean by plug and play ram? No RAM can be inserted while the system is powered on. The only thing like this would be a memory stick that is able to use ReadyBoost technology (uses the memory stick as ram). I'm sorry If I have misunderstood though. I would suggest that you get 2x2 instead of 4x1 as this really helps with any overclocking. I've had some ballistix tracers myself (albeit 800MHz ones) and they are pretty, but expensive for what they are.

  • @wiifan62 Patriot Viper, Corsair XMS3 and OCZ Gold are all good alternatives. And you won't notice any difference, they should even overclock slightly better than your Tracers (from experience).

  • @dezontk well which ones will work best? i wont nor do i know how to overclock. i dont have the tracers yet but they were what i was gng to get before what i heard about them.

  • @dezontk also what do you think about the new ram from ocz thats made just for black edition cpus?

  • @wiifan62 Ok I've just read about that black edition ram and I see the mention of plug and play, a poor choice of words on OCZs part. It basically means that this RAM has to ability to use EPP. Which is simply automatic overclocking. The ram, when used in conjunction with your motherboard and black ed cpu will self-overclock, which will be totally stable and safe. I'm guessing that this ram still costs more than the normal OCZ ram.

  • @dezontk its 110 for 2x2gb ddr3 1600 of the BE Ram

    110 for OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) ddr3 1066

so which is better? if i get the black edition ram i wont have to mess around with it at at all? like if i play a game that requires faster rm the ram will just oc itself and i wont have to bother with it?

  • @wiifan62 It's upto you. You can learn what's needed to overclock your ram yourself (a very easy process really!) or leave it to this special edition ram todo that for you. Personally I would do it myself, or If I wasn't confident enough I would still go for the other suggested RAM. You really won't notice much of a difference. Weigh the prices up, because they will only buy you maybe 2-3fps... and also weigh up if you would rather let google overclock for you for no extra price :)

  • @wiifan62 I would definitely go for the BE Ram, it will always be overclocked (totally stable and safe) automatically, giving everything a boost. And if its the same price, then excellent. If you have a clear side door case, you can still buy LED ram covers/fans/temperature displays if you want to groove it up.

  • @dezontk ok cool so i should have no problem with this ram right? just plug it in and im good to go correct? got any coolers for the ram in mind?

  • @wiifan62 No problem at all. Plug it in and it will detect and use it's EPPs (best suited profile for you) automatically. This is nothing to do with the operating system and strictly a hardware based procedure. For coolers, if you want light, then something like the "Thermaltake Cyclo CL-R0023". There is also the "Zalman ZM-RC1000". But personally I would recommend the "Geil Evo Cyclone Memory Cooler ", it does the job, and displays temps via a projected LED. Sexy if you have a clear side door!

  • @dezontk Thanks alot for your help man. i will have my pc built within a month or so. if i have any problems ill know who to ask now :P thanks a lot i really appreciate it

  • @wiifan62 No problem. Have fun with your new computer.

  • I've just bought my Antec Mini P180 and transferred my components over, it is one of the best cases i have ever seen/used! Cable management is spot on and for a small case the cooling is amazing! Not to mention how quiet it is aswel :')

  • im building a phenom ii x4 machine with 8gb ddr3-1600 and a Corsair SSD in this case next week :) good video.

  • @peterxxmeme what kind of power supply unit did you use?

  • Skeletonized old Acer case

    $65 AsRock AM2/AM2+/AM3 mobo

    $80 4GB A-Data DDR2 800

    $35 Sempron Sargas 2.7GHz @ 3.0GHz

    $N/A 8800GT @ C730 M2100 S1825

    $N/A MACRON 500W power supply

30 FPS minimum in the latest games with maxed out graphics settings.

    Power to the single core.

  • @ghettopcgamer Awesome system :)

Those Semprons are great, was tempted to buy one just for overclocking since they're so cheap/low risk and have huge OC headroom, amazing CPU's :)

  • man youre pc is so damn !!!!

  • i just took HD 5870, AMD Phenom II 965BE, 4gb 1333Mhz DDR3 ram, CoolerMaster HAF 922 case. :) Waiting it now<3

  • @Miqimus lol...my spec that i built is preetty similar....i got the 5770, phenom ii x6 1055t, 4gb 1333mhz ddr3 ram, coolermaster HAF 922.....now i'm selling it on ebay...for a really cheap price...

  • @dell11700

:) im thinking of selling my rig now, i want HD 6970 (its coming) PII 1055T, Define R3 arctic white for case, 4gb ram etc etc :D

  • I just got this case to replace my aging thermaltake armor. I wanted something smaller now im not gaming much on the pc these days and I must admit its a great little case. If you are a gamer though please dont waste your money buy something like the coolermaster cm690 2 advance or even a cheaper case from nzxt with good room for cooling : )

  • @tototuvieja Probably not, the GTS250 would struggle with 30" resolution (assuming its 2560x1600), especially with the 512MB version.

A GTX285 or 5870 would be better suited to 30" monitors, everything else in your system is ready for it though :)

  • lol you can talk.... wanted to see the computer and about 3 mins in it your still talking about the camera.... is stopped at 3:10 secs

  • im buying Antec Mini P180 (black or white, i think im taking white :D ) and HD 5770 and AMD Phenom 965 (+ 4gb ram, asus M4A785TD-V-EVO mobo, 1TB etc) so what u think can 5870 fit to that case? :O i saw one were was LOOOONG graphic card and he taked that other hard disk stand out and there where (i suppose) there were 5870 :)

  • Sounds like a great build :D

Go for the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB, it's brilliant, faster than a WD Raptor, don't let the 7200rpm speed fool you :)

Any card will fit in the Mini P180 thanks to the removable hard drive cages, you should have no problem getting a 5870 in.

That motherboard will not fit though, this case only allows for mATX motherboards. If you want to stick with ATX have a look at the Mini P180's big brother the P183 :)

  • @Aaronage1

yeap. im looking for mATX :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Miqimum

Ah ok, have a look at the MSI 785GM-E65 motherboard, that one is on my wishlist, very overclockable :)

BTW, I'm deadfredvideo, Aaronage1 is my new account)

  • @Aaronage1

okay. im checking does Jimms pc store (Finnish shop) has that. :)

  • @Aaronage1

yeap there is MSI 785GM-E65 at shop... its 87 euros :)

  • good luck with not overheating your system :D dont be a bum... get e 900 atleast

  • e 900?

  • a* 900

  • a* 900? whats that, sry i dont know :x

  • antec 900 is a pc case

  • aa okay, i didnt know what did u mean with 900 :D but, im not getting that computer.

  • @TedWinni my case rapes 900 >=]

  • not a 902 <3

  • who wanted you to speak ?

  • @TedWinni

The Mini P180 has great cooling, 120mm at the back, 200mm at the top and 2 X 120mm can be installed at the front :)

  • no.. think you find it wont

  • @TedWinni

It's great seriously, my system now has a Phenom II 965 running at 4GHz, max load is 52c. I have 3 X 120mm fans running below 1000rpm and the top 200mm running at 600rpm.

    It's fine.

(this is deadfredvideo btw, aaronage is my new channel)

  • i know... but antec 900 rules all :) ! hehe ^^

  • I also have the IceQ but it is Radeon 4670 it is a very great card for the price ran about $70

  • @Chevyguy2003 That's right, the 865 is just a 955 clocked higher :) You can easily get a 955 to 3.4GHz or higher by increasing the multiplier :)

  • oopps i left this part out but if it doesnt come with a good heatsink do u reckon a Xigmatek Achilles S1284C CPU Cooler will do it runs at 12v and 20.62 bda reckon it will do?

  • Sounds like an awesome build :D

The stock cooler with Phenom is pretty good, but if you want to do some overclocking i'd buy a better one :) The Xigmatek Achilles is a great cooler, would work wonders on Phenom II :D

  • ok cheers man awesome vids

  • awesome im gettin AMD Phenom II X4 945 and Gigabyte GeForce GTS 250 1GB Overclocked and G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH 2x2GB DDR3 ram for christmas it will be my first pc build hope it goes good, btw did the phenom come with a good heatsink i will be usein this pc for gaming so should i stick with it or buy a new one?

  • @MADCORE94 Hey You shouldnt get the 94 =/

get this AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX

  • Ice Q4+ FTw^^

    i got 2x 4870 Iceq4+ 1gb , they're amazing :D

  • DUST FTW!!!

  • i got a Asus m3a32 mvp deluxe am2!! mobo but it also support am3 cpu's so now i running a Phenom II 965 3.4 ghz :D with ddr2 no problem

  • im probably getting the hd 5770 1gb and Phenom II x4 945 3.0ghz :) Next $300 i get!

  • Sounds good! The 5770 is a beast :D

  • for medium high end, that is. it's compared to a gtx 260 or a 4870. If overclocked, 4890 ish

  • Yep :) When drivers mature i would imagine it'll be equal to a 4890. Put two in crossfire and it's faster than a 6870, great cards :)

  • Shame that the am2+ mobos can't quite compete with AM3.

  • The only difference between AM2+ and AM3 motherboards is RAM support, not a big deal really :)

If you look benchmarks for DDR2 vs. DDR3, the performance increase is tiny :)

If i was building now i would buy AM3, but i built this November 2008 when AM3 wasn't around :)

  • but there were no really good am2+ boards. AM3 is where the manufacturors started to pull their weight with regard to amd chipsets. I'm not objecting to the concept of an am2+ package, I'm merely saying that there were very few good am2+ boards (because pre-phenom II there were no good am2+ processors...)

  • I wouldn't say that's true, apart from the socket AM3 boards are essentially the same :) They use the same chipsets, they share the same features etc The only difference is DDR3 :)

  • However, manufacturors just didnt bother on the whole with the am2+ boards. They have with am3. Look at MSI's offerings...

  • i believe that am3 is also better to overclock and has lower power consumption.

  • Most AM2+ motherboards can run AM3 with a flashed bios.

  • send me a vista plz :D

  • all this crap about compressed air, i just use a duster haha, it workes ok, and compressed air is just OTT!

  • Haha, i wouldn't bother with compressed air for light dust but it's really handy on old gunked up computers :)

  • u got good cpu but u got bad gpu u have failed ...FAIL...$ $ $

  • Sure, the 4850 isn't a good choice now with 5800/5700 cards available, but it was the best price/performance back when i bought it :)

  • well u could buy 945 or phenom II X3 720 and 4870 or 4890 u would gettin better performance

  • I got the 4850 in January, before that i was running on ATI 3200 IGP so it was a huge boost anyway :D I'm hoping to get a 5850 later this year, the 5800's are brill :)

  • don't inhale that compressed air, it can cause cancer.

  • Not sure about the cancer thing, but yep probably not a good idea :)

  • It's true thats why we had to stop using them at work.

  • if you aimed that fan at the motherboard of you gpu then you with cool it better

  • Hey, when i built my pc 2 weeks or so ago I purchased the HIS ati radeon 4870 1GB GDDR5, Its got really good cooling and its factory overclocked, it runs under 68 degrees full load which is sweet

  • Thanks for subbing :)

  • Get a can of compressed air to blow all the dust and dirt out, that way you won't damage any of the components :)

  • Nice Rig and sexy guitars

  • Hehe cheers :)

  • hey. how can i do one volociraptor and a 500GB HDD together without raid? would i have to go to the bios? or in windows it shows 2 local disks?

  • yeah it should show 2 disk

  • ok, thank you :)

  • Hey Spock whats up how you doing !

    Live Long and Prosper !

    watch?v=Iu1qa8N2ID0

  • ICE Q is my favourite kinda aftermarket cooling

well the sapphire toxic is nice too but its more expensive

the nvidia cards do fine with stock cooling

not bad setup nice similar to mine

  • Cheers :) Stock cooling on these cards is ok, just a little too noisy for my liking :)

  • Excellent. Subscribed, getting sick of everyone elses American accent ;). Also laughing at coloquialisms that we share. Good video as well.

  • Hi I have a question what temp does your 920 run at? I am planing on getting one but I want to OC. When you ocd yours what where your temps? I have a zalman 9700 is that good for the phenom II

  • I use the OC Z Vendetta, when overclocked to 3.45GHz 1.35v it sits at 33c idle and 48c under full load :)

The Zalman 9700 should do a good job :)

  • Nice comnputer man.. you should watch my latest clipp! :)

  • Ew...Dust it out before you video it! Sweet setup btw.

  • Hehe, should have dusted it`yeah :)

    Thanks :D

  • lmfao true

  • WOW nice Telecaster on the wall ;P

  • what case is it lian li ...?

  • Antec Mini P180 :)

  • man ic build an i7 core for £600 without monitor keyboard and mouse

  • Maybe so.

But with £210 blown on the CPU alone, and another £130ish for a decent motherboard you'll be cutting costs on the case, psu, ram, storage, cooling, graphics etc. all for practically no gain in gaming performance.

  • ram and stuff are upgradable and cheap these days so you cn jus add more to that

  • yea ram is quick and easy i put an extra gig in my pc and it makes a big diffrence

  • wow, you must be the best...NOT

  • was i talking to you didnt think so FUCK OFF N SHUT UPP

  • y r u watching da vid den?

  • you should put the antec spot cool right behind the graphics card.. it gets fucking hot there but you have the iceq4 version so i wouldn't really worry about it overheating

  • any1 interested in buying a newly built gaming computer

spec: AMD phenom II BLACK EDITION 955+ hd 4890+4 gb ddr3+VISTA ULTIMATE 64 BIT+1000 PSU PLAYS MOST GAME AT MAX QUALITY AT 1080P AT 60 FPS OR MORE EXEPT CRYSIS

  • not intreseted :P and btw didnt u already wrote this on another vid? ;/

  • Very nice case man... I have the same old cpu (8450) but I will change to AM3 platform...

I will go for the MSI 790FX-GD70 motherboard and Phenom II 955...

    Grettings from Argentina...

P.S: Sorry if my english is not good. xD See you!

  • Thanks! Nice upgrades, heard great things about that MSI board :)

Your English is very good! ;)

  • lol u copied me XD i too gonna get phenom 955 and MSI 790FX-GD70 lol...

  • i like amd ati and nvidia but not intel, intel is overpriced and not really worth it

  • nvidia is overpriced as well compared to ati

  • nvidia is also overpriced if yo hadn't noticed.. but amd/ati definitely wins best bang for your buck

  • nvidia isnt overpriced, where r u buying your crap

  • Newegg... trust me it's overpriced.. you can get a 4870 for about 110 now and the gtx 280 is still around the 200 mark.. IT IS FUCKING OVERPRICED YOU NITWIT

  • LMFAO NITWIT XD priceless not like nvidia

  • Realy Nice . I like how you explain :) Nice Job

AMD - ATI Radeon Best Choice :) Bye

  • i agree man

  • How come you didn't go with the Black Edition CPUs? You get more value for price with those because you can increase their multiplier to achieve higher GHz. The Phenom II X2 550 is a very good dual-core. Plus if paired with the proper mainboard and luck, you can actually unlock the two disabled cores, making it a quad-core.

  • its called athlon 2 and those came out after this video was made. you can still overclock a non black edition. i have the phenom2 x4 920 which is 2.8ghz and have it at 3.2ghz stock cooled. instead of multipliers you step up the fount side bus

  • Drivers... For a optical drive..?

  • Sorry I am mean. Grrr! But, heh, the back fan that you said you didn't need due to the top 230MM!!! not 200 :P is not true because it is even more important due to air circulation and what not. That's a pretty good rig I'd have to say, but uhh, learn a bit more about computers will ya? I meen just for me? will ya? Im kidding with you man. Oh and one other thing. The bloody video was like 14minutes! (Jeez!). I know you can do better than that mate. Any who, Good Job! =D

  • can it fit 2 gtx 295s?

and will something like a True 120 fit in that case?

    btw nice build :P

  • If you got a Crossfire mATX board (like the DFI Lan Party Jr.) you might be able to squeeze two 295's in this case :)

I'm pretty sure a True 120 would fit, the case is as a fat as its big brother the P183 :)

    Thanks!

  • i don't think you can use use Nvidia SLI in a Crossfire mobo.

  • Sorry, mind stuck in ATI land :P

You would need a SLI ready mATX (Dual PCI-Express slots0 I'm not sure if they exist :)

  • Ya they exist. The DFI X58-T3H6 is mATX.

SLI / Crossfire and has amazing features.

  • Yes u can. The new X58 chipset you can do SLI or Crossfire on the same board.

  • ASUS rampage gene is another alternative...

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks!

The Phenom II X2 is amazing for £80, having 2 unlockable cores is just epic :D It's hit and miss though, those extra cores aren't guaranteed to be stable in use :)

  • Ah I see your update on your page - XFX ATI Radeon 4770

I'm getting an XFX branded 4870..

Cheap too, just let me know if you want a link!

  • Where do you come up with the money?

The GPU alone goes over £100

I'm saving for Quad CPU and the 4870 and i guess i should have it soon :)

I'll post a video of unboxing benching etc!

  • People always ask where i get the money lol I work and sell stuff on ebay. If i fancy a new video card for example, i'll clean up the old one and sell it on ebay - make very little loss on stuff if you look after it :)

Your system sounds pretty awesome too :D

  • Do you buy stuff off of ebuyer?

  • Yeah it's a great site :) Tend to have the best prices for the UK, epic fast delivery and great support :) They were really helpful when i had to RMA my mobo :)

  • Yea.. If your not a gamer... You should become one. :D I have about the same PC, Just a different case, and i used the stock cooler that came with the 920. ANd i did not do any type of RAID. Nice PC though, it's sweet.

  • Where are you getting the dust from? you have dust screens on your front panel. I bet it is from negative pressure in your case. Dust is being sucked in from the seams because your intake fan at the filter can pull in as much as your exhausts are pulling out.

It will be louder, but put your exhausts on low and your intake on high. That will give you better circulation as well.

  • Thanks for the info I'll try it out :D

  • Nice computer you've got there.

i'm planning on building a watercooled P180 mini myself.

watch out with the raid-0 though. if one drive crashes, you'll lose all your data.

    just a friendly warning :)

  • Cheers, everyone tells me this :P

I keep a back up of everything on another drive :)

  • nice pc mate, ive seen some of ur other vids, bummer that ur psu died, nice upgrades & vid

  • I also have the Phenom 2 920 and its such a great CPU! I have a Radeon 4830 in there at the moment but ill probably upgrade it to a 5800 series card when they come out, didnt want to shell out too much on a graphics card that will be outdated soon.

  • The Phenom II really is awesome :)

I'm thinking the same thing, gonna wait till 5800 series cards arrive before upgrading from my 4850 :)

  • AAAAAARRRRRROOOOOOOONNNNNN! Great to see you back! :D

  • Hehe cheers xD

  • w00t :D Phenom II 720 FTW!

  • Hey What u think of the OCZ Stealth power supply? Is the fan quite?

  • Yeah, i never notice the power supply fan - but that could be down to case design. Its a solid PSU i highly recommend it :)

Only thing that irritates me about this PSU is that all 3 SATA power connections are on one cable, so i had to put the hard drives and optical drive close together :/ But that's only a minor thing :)

  • So whats the difference between the Phenom 2 and Phenom X3?

  • phenom 2 is 45nm (better overclocking lower power consumption) has much more cache, higher clockspeeds and run cooler. its a very big increase

  • What gadgetron089 said :)

The original Phenoms are good value, but the Phenom II is just so much better :)

  • due your room chane science te last tour wit your macbook and xbox360 i saw the controller dude

  • Yeah it has a bit :)

The Xbox 360 controller is just for Windows, no Xbox 360 here :)

  • i need to overclock my intel quad extreme processor lol

mine cost 500 in total case looks great 8gb ddr3 ram 500gb harddrive 2 dual layer lightscribe dvd writers XD

    amazing pc

im waiting for windows 7 to launch

because i dont really like vista lol

    sweet pc anyways dude

    looks great

and btw i love the lights makes it look so much better lol in my opinion

  • £500 with a Core 2 Extreme? I thought those chips cost more than £400 alone :O

Sounds like an awesome system, I'll check your vids :D

  • i know

my dads friend got me the cpu :P

  • whats raid 0

  • Raid 0 (striped disks) is a way of speeding up read and write speeds by running two or more together. For example, in this system when i save a file it it is spread over both drives so basically writes twice as fast :) Booting up, loading applications, playing games etc. all benefit from it :)

  • how do you put in raid 0

  • Depends on your system as to whether or not you can setup RAID :)

Find your motherboards make/model and check the support website to see if it has the option :)

Give "How to RAID" a Google there are tonnes of good guides :)

  • When did you get the macbook?
