hay guys i just bought a nvidia 9600 gso farcry 2 edition graphics card and it says that i need a recconmmended 500w supplementary power but my psu in my pc is max 360w i was wondering if i could but a thermaltake psu unit and house it out side my pc and use it as a power supply for my graphics card whould that work? all replys welcome thx
Anyone get a very very short 4pin 12v motherboard connecter. I bought the 750w version and I cant believe how short the 4pin is as apposed to the 8pin.
Do not buy this psu, I've had two faulty ones plus the store has had two more faulty ones sent to them for me... plus one other for someone else all faulty!... thermaltake toughpowers are junk
What amount of power should I get for my setup with an eVGA 9800 gtx 512 mb, Asus m2n-SLI 570, AMD athlon 64 X2 6400 dualcore (3.2 ghz) w/thermaltake V1 cpu cooling?
Hello i was just wondering does this psu fit in a tj09 case and will it hold up with water cooling 2 fans 5 hhds 2 burners and a quad core clocked at 3.2ghz and a tri sli setup
I'm just curious you don't review power supplies correctly, your supposed to get a load tester, and measure the ripple... And perhaps open inside and tell the caps it used... like jonnyguru :)
Rodney, I really enjoy watching your video reviews, but I'm kind of sceptical about your verdicts because every product you review seem to be a "kick-ass product". Therefore I only watch these videos to see what the products look like and what features they have. I'm not saying your biased, but we as viewers would like to hear both pro's and cons, not only pro's.
That may sound great, but every product has pro's and cons. Most choices between already good products are based on the most influential drawbacks. Even an extremely high price tag may be a negative thing to be taken in consideration.
i was just being sarcastic there....i will say that i've been happy with all of the thermaltake psu's ive used over the years. don't know about 1200w though....perfectly happy with the antec neo480 that's been rocking my gamer for the past couple years
I had a Thermaltake passive PSU for a couple of years. It was a fantastic power supply, but 350 Watt wasn't enough for my newer PC, so now I have a more powerful PSU.
I have the 775W version and it can't even handle my 4890 on my Q6600....

Can this power two 5870s cause it says it only has 3 six pin lead offs and two 5870s require 4 six pin adapters.
genbowl 2 years ago
It can power 3 and more of those cards, because the new technology in those cards consume 4 times less power than the 4000 series.
Even for crosssfire it wil be fine even if you connect 3 cards.

yes it can work although if you turn on your pc you also need to turn on the psu outside the pc
you can let the psu on at all times i guess?!
vinny4punt0 2 years ago
guess you could, but buying a 500-600w PSU and simply switching woulb be easier

i wouldn't recommend using two PSU if thats what you mean, just get a 650watt corsair PSU or something like that.

Nej, eftersom du inte kan ha 4 st 4870x2 om du inte har gjort m.kortet själv.

i would say around 600 watts, give you some room to breath. I use 850 for almost the same setup but with two graphics cards.

it is an standard ATX Power supplie, so i think it will fit and the amount of power will be enough for youre set up.
the thing thats the problem for you, is that you need some extra connectors, but you can buy some cable's for that.
(^^)

Do the maths: 1200/300 = 4 1U servers at 1 PSU :o

It looks like it should be enough for a FX board using 4 video cards, although it still might be too much.
