Check it out. My car. 2010 Malibu lt 4 cyl. 2.4L, if I get the rims 22x8.5/+38 offset. With 235-30-22 tires. Will my car b able to handle it. Is my engine and trans strong enough? And u sure it won't rub. And another thing....are the rims you have real heavy? Sorry for the questions but I just gotta b properly informed before I mess my car up lol

@21javila ...Your car should be able to handle 22's no problem! And im pretty sure you won't have any issue with rubbing! But you can double check with most wheels shops what will work for your ride bro! The majority of aftermarket wheels in a 22" are going to be heavier than the stock wheels! Good luck with your ride

And from the looks of it the all new 2013 model is going to be very good as well! It would be nice for Chevy to make a SS model for the Malibu! With rear wheel drive and a V6 turbo linked to a beefier trans. It would be a hit! :P

I had my buddy at the muffler shop cutout the resonator that runs in the middle of the car and he welded in a straight pipe to a single chamber flowmaster racing muffler! For 800 bucks i have a guy here in town that can custom make me a full set of long tube headers for the malibu with racing collectors and o2 sensors and for 200 bucks more he can do a full tune to optimize the headers and eliminate the 125 speed limiter and give more horsepower!

Also GREAT GAS MILEAGE an the design is beautiful..definitely not powerful but it depends on what ur using it for...i have a heavy foot and i used to be a speed demon in my ESCORT lol believe it or not escorts accelerate fast as HELL.But in this car I just cruise...my only concern in winter snow here in michigan..this will be my first winter with the 2009 malibu LT

@TUJEFA122 Yes!!!! Go for it when this car was released in 08 it beat out the 4 cyl accord and came about 2 points shy of beating out the camry. Very impressive car great gas mileage about 33 on the highway, But do know this there is a 2013 model coming out that gets about 40 mpg and buitl even more solid than this one, and not that this one is garbage either far from it. Way to keep the american cars on the map.

@screechymon I was trying to be funny on the chevy forum! Most people on that site like their stock malibus! Lol In my opinion the jet performance stuff waked her up she is alot more responsive and cutting the resonator and putting in a straight pipe with a flowmaster exhaust made all the difference in the world! I also have the airaid throttle body spacer. The only way you can really find out if it works is if you try it out for yourself!
