  • Blacks voted 80% in favor of Prop.8! What do you think of that Sistah?

  • @Glennyco I think you need to cite your sources and do more in depth research, my friend.

  • You two look like two anime characters, pokemon maybe xD. Great video, but the body paint is a bit too much :P.

  • Ok, I'm gay, and this still freaks me up o_0.

  • @TheThordir But what do you think of the contents of the video, the words and meaning?

  • @SisterUnity

This video is 95% great. The 5% that I don't like is the body paint. This has nothing to do with being gay or straight, it has to do with the fact that I find the Human Body beautiful, a masterpiece of nature, something that shouldn't be hidden in shame or fear, or even more strange to me, body paint, tattoos, etc.

Other than thta, great video :gratz.

  • GLOBAL GAY UNITY TODAY AND ALWAYS!

dadt is down, now down with DOMA and up with Marriage Equality!

  • You do realize that painting yourself up like that may have some supporters say to themselves "hmmm, maybe I shouldn't support the gay culture or gay marradge lifestyle"... As a result you hurting the cause not helping it...

PS I can tell the guy on the right is the female of the relationship and the guy on the left is the male of the relationship

  • @dadecountyhustler305 LOL, hilarious post; Classic! thanks for posting!!!! :)

  • @dadecountyhustler305

Bullshit, they are both the male in the relationship, that is what male homosexuality is about. The fact that they like body paint and that they are a bit silly than the rest of the community is no more different that what happenes during a Mardi Gras, or a Rio Parade. Now that is weird to me.

  • If you biologically deviant weirdos cant have your way here on Californians left coast we might as well live in Utah! We got Utah laws!

  • @weirdliberal Yeah, paid for by Utah churches!

  • I TOOK THE PLEDGE!!!!!!!! ALL THE WAY FROM PUERTO RICO. WONDERFUL ART SISTER!!!! IF SAME SEX MARRIAGE CAN HAPPEN IN ARGENTINA, PORTUGAL AND SOUTH AFRICA IT CAN HAPPEN IN THE USA!!!!!

  • ok bro if you stopped being freaking weirdo and maybe people will stop hating on you guys. you are dressed like a geisha saying you are normal.

  • @hs41982 but this is the point. we are NOT "normal" and THAT is part of life. The point is not for us to be what others are, the point is to have the rights due to all human beings regardless of how they dress themselves or which person they love. What, really, is wrong with looking weird?

  • @SisterUnity i don't know bro, i think no matter where you decide to put your dick is your thing and has nothing to do with law, but you don't think you are assisting in the resistance agents you?

  • @hs41982 I hear you and I have heard it for a long time. I am not responsible for other people's reactions to my clothing.

Are you saying no man should ever wear false eyelashes? You going to legislate that? No? OK then when were you planning on including them? When were you planning on letting America know some men are very effeminate? that many men and women challenge traditional gender notions? What was the plan for these people? My plan is inclusion, different as they may be.

  • @hs41982 Do you recall how in the early years of the Civil Rights movement some buffoons argued that some black actors shouldn't appear in public in front because they appeared "too black".

Rather than honor the nervous feelings about how I look, one could look at the benefits of what I'm doing. and how I'm doing it. There's more on that in the comments on the videos I posted, especially on the videos titled: "Hooray for Weirdos", "Berdache" and the ones about Self Esteem and Teenage Suicide.

  • @hs41982 Last 2 things: It's not so much about the dick; it's about the heart.

Thank you very for the dialogue! and for listening at all. Peace and love be with you.

  • @SisterUnity peace out bro, keep up your fight remember the civil rights movement started with Emmit Teal in the mid 50's and didn't really end until the late 70's time and struggle.

  • @SisterUnity bro (that doesn't bother you right) skin color is one thing you chose to walk around with whiteout on your face (joke).

  • Prop 8 pissed me right the fuck off, but.....your eye lashes.....and that make up.....and the costume.....it's just.....what....

  • @vanillacrab eating feces is not illegal in california, so I assume that means you agree that gay marriage should also be legalised, thankyou for that.

  • What your wearing reminds me of Kefka from Final Fantasy 6 haha, you look awesome. Anyway, I'm not bi, gay, or transexual, but I'm totally ok with it, and people should be allowed to do what they want as long as it doesnt hurt others. Continue your fight of love and peace and Good luck in your protests and as this is supposed to be the land of the free. peace

  • @Venefican hahah that's awesome with the final fantasy reference!

  • Most gay activists are pretty damn annoying, but regardless of your makeup, you are pretty cool. I appreciate your stern & determined, yet unabrasive attitude.

Btw, "Guard Mocock" I like that one hahahah

  • I'm sorry you're annoyed by people fighting for their rights given freely to broken condom babies parents.

  • Thank you for posting this.

We are the shamans, the seekers, the poets, those who truly know love. Justice will prevail.

    Bless you, sis.

  • yeah, depfagcontrol! You heard the guy!

  • I absolutely adore you, Sister. Keep fighting the good fight out west!

  • Clearly you and I perceive the world and history in very different ways. I feel secure in the minority of your ontology here, so I will let us disagree in peace. Thank you for your contributions to my video.

  • LOL, so.. you listen to, believe, and quote Ahmadinejad?

I did not state my position; I rebutted you with facts.

You may be right that the US is centrist to right, but the funny thing is how, over the breadth of it's history, it moves left. Slavery: abolished. Women: given the vote. Black citizens: Civbil Rights laws. Social Security, Welfare, Medicare & Medicaid. Our foundation was based on the ideas of the (Liberal) Age of Enlightenment; "That all men are created equal".

    "Faggot" has 2 "g"s

  • Rock on sister, its sad to see you have to argue with such... I'm really not sure how to describe such... arguments. Not sure why we have to talk about this at all but hey at least we get sum crazy rallies and marches out of it. :D

  • What language. What a mind. It is no wonder there is no peace with you.

  • 1) The Supreme Court has never ruled on Gay marriage. The Cali Supreme Crt. ruled against a challenge to the constitutionality of Prop 8 and went out of their way to say it had no bearing on the court's view of gay marriage, which they legalized a year prior.

    2) yeah, the voters, by 2% points. See you next year!

    3) Carrie Prejean is not Miss California.

  • 4) please refer to the nature videos here on YT. Homosex and love are distinctly part of nature and are far from deviant behavior. They are found through mammals, birds, and other species (check out male sea-horses!)

    5) The slur, "Faggot" is against YouTube's Terms of Use agreement which you agreed to. YouTube supports gay members as a rule.

    6) Fags can marry in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Iowa, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, and South Africa. Dykes too!

  • Woooooooo hell yes, I may not be gay but hell if that didn't get my blood pumping. Keep on fighting, they can't deny love and equality forever. Peace and Love sister!

  • I finally got a chance to take the vow :D my parents left and I was like "TIME TO MAKE THE VOW!" and I did it. I too right now feel energized to fight and win. I recently moved temporarily to Washington due to family problems and their "everything but marriage" got turned down today. This shows that it was never about marriage it was about prejudice and personal thoughts and agenda.

  • you WURK sisterU!

  • Love your videos Keep up the good work.

  • I didn't know it was halloween.

  • I really want to take you seriously but all I see is a cartoon........

  • faggot has two "g"s. Americans really should only heed words spoken when the speaker is credible. Thanks for your advice, but I thinnk I won't hide. I think I'll go see my gay brothers in Salt Lake City.

  • Sister your amazing <3

To have so much hate posted on your page you still keep pushing you truly (along with the other sisters) are amazing.

  • thanks. I think words have power but you can decide how that effects you, or not. And you can respond with your own power. Laughter is a very unique and effective power, don't you think?

  • sister, you are a beacon of adoration and inspiration!

    Much love!

  • Beautiful vows Sister. Keep up the great writing. Who knew so many religious nutters watched your vid. They must want to dress like you.

  • Ms. Prejean is no longer Miss California USA. She was let go after repeatedly flaking on her contractual title commitments.

  • Sister Unity, you are very inspiring. Oh, and I love the threads.

  • Thanks, Luv.

  • You guys think the devil invented alot of things. That is why you, and people like you, are insane. Some of our forefathers weren't christian, thank goodness. If the church ran this country, we would go back into the dark ages. Do you remember the dark ages? You and your ilk had full reign. What came out of that? Oh yeah, hundreds of years of stagnation. Christians are dangerous, dumb, and devious. I wouldn't trust you to clean toilets, let alone run this country.

  • Hahaha, the mormons are such hypocrites and liars. More so than the regular christians. Voting on human rights is heinous.

  • Ah, I get it. It is okay if your bloodthirsty god, Yahweh, kills children. Wow, you don't even try to hide your hypocrisy, stupid christian.

  • This is uplifting. One of my gay friends whom was in the military died in Iraq. His enlistment was to be up in a year. He planned to move to California to marry his longtime partner after his service was over. You give me hope for his legacy. Keep fighting sister.

  • May your friend's love and grace bless us.

  • u tell them man! a protester against the gay rights protests once had on his sign, "The people have spoken, go back to your closets."

  • you guys already have equal rights, you can marry people of the oppsite sex, just like everyone else. besides, who are u to try and change the law? who are you to try and take down the democracy by protesting against the votes? be considerate about other people's opinions! they voted! and they won fair and square. and what do ur people do? they scream and wine like children, and go protest in front of a mormon church saying all these offensive things to them. this is democracy, NOT A DAYCARE!!!!

  • @racistbigothomophobe what gives the right to tell other people how to live there lives @sister unity you are a very strong person and i think you live a very good life my favorite sister unity videos are when you tell storys thank you for keepping my family entertaind im may not be relgious but i do know that god created us all for a reason and they way we are today and if god didnt like gay people then why did he create them thank you for your time and reading this comment

  • plz, for the love of God, read your holy bible. god created man and woman. he NEVER created men that like other men, and he NEVER created women that like other women. and by the way, its not that he doesnt like gay people. God loves every single one of children. its just that he doesnt like the things they do. some Gay rights activists get this wrong, which is why they sometimes hate christian organizations.

  • Not everyone believes in your false god, dipshit. Also, we don't have equal rights. Anybody who did thier research would know this. We can't visit our partners if thier in the hospital, we can't file joint tax returns, and a whole plethora of other rights. Going by your reasoning, if we did legalize gay marriage, we all would have the same rights. You could marry someone of the same-sex as well. Voting on human rights is despicable. Although christians are no strangers to evil acts.

  • @MrConfidential678 well this can be settled very easily by the fact that the christian god doesn't exist. How do we know this, you might ask? because references to his existence only began 5000 years ago, human civilisation is way older, therefore, we made him up at some point.

  • Check, Mate.

  • The ERA lapsed back during the 80's. It's time limit for ratification ran out.

Scalia and Thomas are but 2 Justices.

Your opinion about my morality is under informed. Keep in mind relativity. To many, your own opinion on equal rights is morally bankrupt. I do not say this myself. I merely tell you we disagree.

  • I do. I will. and I will be changing the law through the legitimate means provided by our state and federal constitutions.

  • will will will if you read the bible it says there is nither greek nor jew in criest. there IS NO such thing as god ordained minorities! God created all humans equal

ALL HUMANS how dare you bering race and sex into this what some one is or dose is not for us to judge. now i have said me peace what is your reply.

  • Yes, that's the whole thing about "Equal" rights.

  • True enough. Ironically, "Gay" was a word first applied to people like me by straight detractors.

  • The California State Supreme Court disagrees with you. Gay persons are now a Suspect Class, or, legally speaking in California, a recognized minority. The Supreme Court decision in Lawrence v. Texas can be said to have made the same distinction.

  • Hysterical! more, more!

  • How bizzare! How blasphemous! Hey guess what, I feel even more "energized" too. To vote against you that is! By the way, Fresno will NEVER support your cause! Be gone now! You have no influence here! You are wasting your time and your antenae!

  • I recycle my antennae. Tell you what; you get your mitts off my rights and I'll stay off your lawn. We live in the same state, share the same government and laws. Let's make it so we can both live well under them, go our separate ways, and don't have to bump into each other like this again.

  • I don't know how someone could say such horrible things to such a beautiful person, this world is full of such ugly, hateful, and ignorant people and it saddens me.

The blessing is, that it also has people like you full of beauty and light. People willing to fight the hate and anger with peace and love.

Just know I have raised my children to love not hate! I can't promise a hate free world, but I can promise that someday racists, biggots, and homophobes will be the ones forced into closets.

  • This is Bozo the clown's brother that the family doesn't talk about.

  • No, I'm his son actually. My family talks quite a lot about me as most of them are equal rights activists.

  • Ugh! Why didn't I see this sooner! I live in Fresno and I should have gone. I wish I could have gone. This really is sad for me. I could have taken a chance to do something extraordinary.

  • [smile] There are ample opportunities coming. You can pitch in in Fresno now. Contact Equality California or other groups to find out what you can do to over turn Prop 8 in/from Fresno. (I loved Fresno btw.)

  • Thank you! That was CLASSIC!

  • "Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself.

I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." ~ Ferris Bueller

  • I have always had to wonder... for those opposed to gay marriage, what is it they hope to accomplish.

Do they really think that some day all gays are going to wake up and go Wow, you are so right... gay is bad, and now that I think about it I was never really gay to begin with. My bad... I'll just go be straight now.

I mean you really do have to wonder...

  • ya know?!

  • WHEREAS CSC is in contempt in re illegal denial for rehearing of CSC habeas petition S142192 and in re State hindrance of C07 01399 SBA USDC habeas motion, currently delinquent but unopposed in Oakland before Judge Armstrong, BILLS OF ATTAINDER are rampant, including the named ex post facto Prop.8. Violence has broken out, relative to the related undermining of Superior Court, and so, CPC 403 et seq. must be relieved, with habeas corpus in California, lest fatal estoppel. 360.yahoo/bobgnote

  • Inspiring and beautiful, calm and confident vibes.

Also, some of the best eyelashes I've seen in my long life...and appreciate the earrings too!!

    Bon courage!

    From my heart, RAL*

  • I love you Sister Unity!!!

  • I notice you want to have everything your own way. That you speak of hate and violence and burning people alive with whom you disagree. I do not support that way of behaving. Nor does the law of the United States.

  • You with the third finger up this entire video speak of hate and violence. You with a side kick that looks like satan himself speak of proper behavior! How ironic!

  • The third finger of the left hand is the ring finger onto which is placed a wedding ring. I hoped I was speaking of equal rights more than proper behavior.

  • Thank you sister Unity for your beautiful words!!! I don't understand how we can have a black president, but not a gay marriage!! Love is love!!!!!!!

  • I think if you look more closely at history you will see that gay people have existed throughout history and in all places. A brief sampling of those we know were gay:

Roman Emperor Hadrian; Alexander the Great (gay or bi); Socrates, Aristotle, Sappho, Sultan Saladin, Fredrick the Great of Prussia, Lord Byron, Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde, Pope Julius III, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Carravaggio, James I of England, Edward the II, Pope Bennedict IX (from the 11th Century),

    and others.

  • Dear Sister Unity,

Thank you for inspiring me again. I did feel down, and a little exhausted by this all, but I wanted to thank you for reminding me what I - we - are working for, and for the perspective. Thank you so much.

  • Claps and snaps to you! California will join with Iowa and the upper right coast (also known as the civilized world) soon. Keep up the good work. Keep that finger raised high... I do!

  • Well, say what you will, but the ones who lose, or are losing, are the ones who try the most desperte moves, such as trying to kill those they are against. However, it should be noted that the most hateful anti-gay people are gay themselves, but in deep denial. So besides the well wishes of you leaving your world of hate, I also wish you freedom from your denial.

  • I'll be out working Security out at Meet In The Middle. Please come out! Be seen, be heard, and be apart of something big!

Why Fresno? Because there was an over whelming number of Yes on 8 votes. The major cities have been covered, time to get out here and prove our point!

  • I DO, I DO, I DO support EQUAL RIGHTS...AMEN!

  • We're here for our rights and we're not going away without'em.

Yes on 8 can pontificate all they want, it will only make it sweeter when we achieve what they dread.

This marks the beginning of the end of Christian tyranny! Long live the queens!

  • mighty stylish look you've got there!

  • Congrats for protesting! It's time we stand up for gays. I'm straight, but supportive, and I find it repugnant that homosexuals are being oppressed.. I'm trying to start a chapter of the Great Gay and Straight Alliance at my school, but the biggoted mormons won't let me =(

  • Thank you for your contribution. You are helping us so much. Thanks.

  • I aplaud you!

  • I would like to see all those in the gay community leave California, and move to Iowa where they legalized gay marriage. Everybody knows gay community raise the home value of any city or township. Screw hypocritical, overpriced, overrated California. Iowa could use the influx of people, and be rewarded for allowing people their god given rights.

  • would love for you to atach this to my video

  • Sister Unity, this is not a direct appeal to you, I just want to tell you a story:

My name is Elizabeth, and I am a fundraiser on behalf of Equality California. EQCA is trying to raise money in LA to hire to organizers in areas that voted against us in 2008, so they can talk to people there and we can win on the ballot in 2012. In the last two days I have raised 1500 dollars for this cause.

Today a lots of people said "it's over", but you uplifted me. I know its not over until we win! Thanks!

  • Thank you. I want to say, "Over??!! Honey, It's just getting good!" This will be so much fun! We have a lot of great work ahead and we are going to enjoy the rewards of hard fights and pushes and working together for the next years. WE GOT OUR OWN MOVEMENT OUT IN FULL VIEW NOW! LET'S GO GIRLS!

  • Blessings to you in the hopes that the hate festering your heart and soul will wither and die and you let the Light of Love in. You can hate us all you like, you can even kill us. You just make us stronger. I hope you find love and peace so the hate and inner war you have inside will go away.

  • Sister Unity you are the best! Such powerful words and soo lovely to look at, those lashes! I took the pledge and will meet you in the middle in Fresno.

  • take care! ((hugs))

    *tori*

  • Proudly took the pledge. :)

  • I was at the protest in DC yesterday. We need more colorful personalities like you out here on the East Coast to liven things up a bit.

  • I may live in Canada, where we all have the right to marry, but I feel the struggle that is still going in over 80% of the USA (I think its over 80) But like you said, now that they decided to keep it, it will just keep us working harder, and harder, until the whole world will have equal rights. Someday. . . .

  • Am, I just being paranoid or has the CA. supreme court Just created a new class of people married gays and lesbians are the New second class. and the rest of us have been demoted to third class.

I'm putting your vow on my chanel

at meet in the middle carry a candle for me . at least I'll be there in spirit

love the eyelashes are they peacock plumes

    rob

  • i love you. it is much easier to love your enemies than it is to hate them. i wish you all the best in life and I hope one day you will find love. as much as you hate me for being gay, i love YOU that much.

  • Rock on Sister! I will pick up my love and fight for your love and the love of every other LGBTQ until we are all recognized as equal citizen.

    I DO!

  • Thank You SisterUnity!

  • i did the march in santa ana at the old oc courthouse to the civic center, and im on the news sister unity, it's on my myspace

  • Rock on my sistas!

  • More power to you all.

In Britain we have equal rights under a different name, civil partnerships - but separate is NOT equal.

  • We are blessed here in Canada to have the right to marry, and I wish my brothers and sisters south of the 49th parallel all the success in the world as they strive for equality!

    Amen, Sister Unity!

  • Great job Sisier Unity!!!

  • you go sister

  • The fight against injustice is always victorious in the long run.

  • Great video I love the vow

  • I love you, you are the best!

  • I took the vow!

  • Amen, Sister.

  • No equal rights movement has ever lost, and baby, we ain't gonna lose.

  • Eres bella! Gracias!

  • Thank you for all that you do :-)..hugs Kent

  • You are beautiful! I love you!

  • YES I WILL

  • The USA seems to be heading for a kind of Theocracy in a desparate attempt to create univorm norms, values and beliefs - in the USA? lol

Prop 8 violates every definition of social inclusion - the Constitution itself becomes unconstitutional, but then wasn't it Thomas Jefferson who wanted votes for land owning men only?

  • We no longer have a Martian Luther King we no longer have a Harvey Milk. Both fearless warriors possibly the greatest this world has known. But we can follow in there footsteps.I will.

  • I DO!!! GAY IS THE WAY :) am in the UK so no meet in the middle for me but with you in spirit sister x

  • Goodness I love you!

  • you think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you

  • No, rather the question regards normality and the ability to fit into a given society. One cannot claim normality for a given/forced "subculture" when it is in its own right, the sheer definition of abnormality, even within that given subculture. I live in west hollywood, the gay friends I do have feel as I do, in that this type of behavior its far from normality. They even criticize other homosexuals talking with a "lisp" as a form of forced abnormality. It seeks to set apart, not within.

  • but why would you want to be "normal", especially as it is defined in our society? i would rather be unique, creative, and beautiful like Sister Unity. and i think it is necessary for us to breakdown the illusion of gender roles in our society, which is exactly what Sister Unity is helping to do

  • In general because humans are not set up to function that way very well. Society is still a machine built on foundations. Furthermore, the majority can only copy eachother. Take gays with a lisp, similar hair cuts, ways of dress... they copy, because they cannot identify themselves independently. Its the same for every other "click" within a given society. Copy and mimic. Its sad but true. In addition the time, location, and setting all play a role in normality which = stable/acceptable society.

  • i don't have room in this little comment box to counter all of your arguments. but i will say that none of your arguments support ridiculing or oppressing those who are different than you and don't fit into the norms of society. you see the way Sister Unity looks and you immediately think "weird, crazy, or stupid." but did you even bother to listen to what she said or to watch any of her other videos? her words are beautiful and enlightened. how is the way she looks of any relevance?

  • Then it is truly pathetic that because of how a certain few amount of gays choose to behave and live their lives that you are against all of gays receiving their rights. I wonder what your gay friends would think of that, presuming you actually have any gay friends to begin with.

  • Shiftfallout, don't despair. The day will come when the same sex marriage is a reality. Or you'll die of old age (I presume). Whenever it comes first, we already won.

  • Magnvss, its not about winning or losing. Once you turn it into something thats win or lose, you have already lost in the big picture of things. You also have to define marriage, either as an institute of a specific religion (of which there are many) or the legal term. Personally, a real win would be to make all marriages under law, renamed to unions (regardless of sex), while allowing the many titles of "marriage" to be given out at the religious institution of choice, for name only.

  • Your voice calms me and makes me happy. Thank you once again for putting things in perspective and soothing my soul.

  • I DO!

    I DO!

    I DO!

    I DO!

  • Love the Tannehauser soundtrack! You go, Sister Unity! You are indeed Divine! Very eloquent and very well spoken. I am proud of you!
