  • Where and when was this recorded?

  • if you didn't see them at maple leaf gardens, you have no idea how good they are...brain salad surgery is a classic and I remember it like it was today...I was one of the "lucky men" in the 70's because I can still remember...

  • You canNOT compare Zeppelin with ELP. Two entirely different genre's. ELP is almost soley classical based and Zepplin is almost all solely based on blues. In case you didn't realize it, blues is what later became rock. It cracks me up every time I hear someone go nuts over Sweet Child O' Mine sung by the no-talent punk Rose. it was actually a song written in the 40's as a blues song. But then no one wants to hear that......lol!

  • Yeah!

  • playing with a smile :D True Musicians!!

  • And you realize these guys were in their early twenties playing with such musical maturity. un-friggin real.!!!!! Led zeppelin my ass!!!!!

  • the sintony of these chums is incredible, its like a one-three person band, the way they mix songs and goes perfectly, true legends

  • i can't decide who is better....Emerson? or Wakeman? i guess both have their own unique styles! :)

  • @CrimsonKing73 Hmmmm. Emerson was a virtuous, but wakeman can play like 3 organs at the same time. Really hard to decide.

  • @Akron162 Since when did Wakeman become an alien?

  • @paperpichu well, he can play two, but how many people you know that can do that?

  • es imposible encontrar esta canción completa y de estudio en utube al parecer; es mi preferida de emerson, lake & palmer!

  • At the moment I am learning the Jazz Part of this on my Piano, and it's difficult like hell. Keith Emerson is just a genius.

  • @augustusgloop1234 the jazz part is a modified version of Tank

  • @castello669 The problem with that is that TANK came after Take A pebble, so I would think that the part of TANK that you are referring to would have been a modified piece of Take A Pebble; OOoooooorrrrrrr, it's just a signature Emerson riff that probably traversed many of their songs including Hoedown ans BSS. That was what made them so great: part Jazz, part Rock, part Classical, even part Swing. ELP were the original Masters Of Fusion (did I just say that, yikes!).

  • @cbxsage Not really, they're both in their debut album, and the version of Take a Pebble there does not have that Tank part in it. In fact, this is the only video i've seen them doing it. Not even in the "Welcome Back My Friends" version, which has a whole track called "Piano Improvisations" in between Take a pebbles you notice any part of Tank in it. So, This video just shows them improvisating live, doing whatever they want and perfectly.

  • @cbxsage tank was in the first album, just like take a pebbel, dont be an asshole

  • j'ècoutai ce disque il ya 35 ans c'est toujours aussi magique!!
