  • i think instead of writing new music metallica should just re release this album with the bass turned up

  • this deserves a replay... metal on sunday.

  • Who ever prouduced and mixed the Justice album got paid waaaaaay too much!!

  • I don't understand why they clipped the bass in the original... This sounds dirty, ballsy and brilliant.

  • This is how it should have been in the first place.

  • this is awesome

  • it's like this song just grew an extra set of balls

  • Wow And Justice For All with Bass.......Very cool!

  • The bass sounds insane. I LOVE IT.

  • This is so sweet.. thx for posting.

  • the bass makes it better

  • a damn definite improvement over the original. the only criticism i have is to lower the bass just a tad lower (re, like a pube lower).

  • Am I the only one who understood what MOON1388 said?

    still makes me lol though.

  • this song was heavy as shit without the bass.... i almost cant handel it

  • I fucking love YouTube and you too, ToadMaster89!

If this was officially released tomorrow, I would buy 10 of them.

  • Why Metallica themselves haven't remastered this album to kick up the bass is one of the world's great mysteries. Sounds good, man. Thanks for letting us know what we were missing.

  • thumbs up if you headbanged and turned the speakers all the way up

  • i just fucking love this song. awesome bass kick dude. it still sounds great with or without. And Justice For All is an awesome album too. i'm not writing anything you don't already know. just happy and sharing the moment - i've been trying to get 6:40 all day just to listen to it uninterrupted. finally.

  • I loved this song but its just a small part of who they really are

  • sounds sooo fuckin badass!!!!!

is there a way i can have this like on mp3???

  • i hear the bass drum better than i hear the guitar OMG O_O

  • oh shit, son.....this is a wet dream come true!!!! \m/

  • I think I can translate for all who are confused about what MOON138 said...here we go.

"Okay, listen, I'm black, straight up from the hood, I listen to Biggie and 2Pac but I still think the shit is awesome! They know how to really go hard and play their instruments, I don't really care about this type of music but I like this!! And that drummer is great! Those guys are awesome."

    ..I think that's what he's saying

  • wicked drums BITCH!!!

  • 1 more db lower and a small cut in the mid eq range to get rid of that overpowering fart, and it is 100 Perfect! other then that amazing!

  • It's been over 20 years since this released, we deserve a remastered proper album

  • @GameCherryDotCom I agree, but I've been hearing that for years and I don't think we'll ever get it. Maybe when Metallica dies and somebody buys their music it may be remastered but honestly I don't care if they never do remaster it because it sound pretty kickass without bass

  • @Darkit2099 I feel that is why the album is looked at as their best because of the lack of bass guitar, then after people fell in love with it they dissect it and want even more perfection. I for some reason have always been able to hear the bass guitar in the original studio album.

  • the bass really adds coolness to it

  • awesome to hear jasons bass and although I usually like and respect them fuck James and Lars for lowering the bass

  • The bass probably helps this song more than any of the other songs on the album. definitely needed more bass.

  • And lo, we heard Jason, and Jason was good; Jason was great and righteous. Let all who walk in Jason's shadow tremble with fear at His might and skill. Long was the way and hard was the road that, for Jason, out of Hell led up to light...

  • YOUR MINUTES TURN TO NONE! TO NOTHING!

  • This is why And Justive For All is on of their best albums!!

    so damn heavy

  • This one is my favourite album. : )

  • ....And justice for Jason!

  • OHRGASMUS

  • @coolxy2 They was assholes for putting his bass so low

  • @Toadmaster89 is there a link or anything for this remake its just... oh i dont know FUCKING AWESOME

  • This is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the original mix. Thank you for proving once again that the bass is a force to be reckoned with lol.

  • WOW! Now the song is truly complete. It adds a more modern sound that we never thought was there.

  • @smoothymcgyver I will download all these and fuck the original!

  • WOW BASS!!!

  • AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHH LO MEJOR ........LEEEEJOSSSSSSSS

  • Adds so much more balls and gravity.

  • Holy Shit!

  • This song is EPICLY HEAVY!

  • one of the angriest songs ever . . .I'm gonna break someone's spleen!

  • @moon1388,finally another black guy dat grew up off rap and love metal......so am i dude!!!!

  • i did not think the shortest straw could get any heavier. i was wrong

  • I would make love to that bassline and tone. That is the perfect album mix. And it still baffles me as to why the hell they left that bass track out. I agree with everyone else when I say it needs a remastering. If the whole thing would sound like this, I would get rid of my old one completely.

  • @skyespitznogle Why would you need that good quality? And you can download it straight off here anyway.

  • In fuckin vertigo you will be!!!!!!!

  • Jason Newstead OWNS. So underestimated. Metallica sucks for ditching him.

  • @stopglobalswarming I think he left as they were not allowing him a creative outlet, so he made a new band.

  • I love this song dearly! this is my 6th time that i have Liston to this song in a row! and your bass made it even better to Liston to! good job!

  • Out of all the 'added bass' versions of Justice songs on youtube, this sounds the best. Good Job!

Moon1388 are you a retard, cause I reckon a chimp with down syndrome could write more coherently than you. "dem, shit, boi, da..." LMFAO.

  • @1:25-1:33 Holy fuck.

  • why did metallica change the bass?

  • Where can I download an mp3 of these AJFA enhanced bass songs?

  • awesome job! this song is powerful now... they really did fuck up back then

  • @Bananenbennie WORD! spine chilling is the difference! Jason wasnt even workin hard here, and they still chose to mute him!

  • great job with the "improved bass"...love it!

  • Im finally finishing up learning this tab, the verse tabs are the funnest to play. Shout outs to all the bass players out there.

  • Wow! The Bass gives that Song an other view of the Song. I always thought that the Bass plays exactly like the rhytm guitar, but that vid shows it. Great! Love it! :D

    Metallica forever!

  • Too loud lol

  • Why was the bass so low in the mix in this album? Can any of you Metallica gurus help me with this one? It's so much better with the bass enhanced :)

  • @DLI848 I would say due to Jame's and Lar's inability to deal with Cliff's death they took it out on Jason. I mean they hazed him horribly. Also, they said that they weren't as confident in Jason since he didn't do much in the way of creativity. So they lowered the bass to barley audible levels then cut the dBs in half. Stupid move.

  • @Pimetalz Thanks for replying, man! Yeah, I saw them talk about it in a video. Very stupid move. I personally thought his basslines in this album were excellent.

  • @DLI848 You only have to look at Dyers Eve. Shit. I can't even do that with a pick, let alone my fingers. Plus, I love Jason's bass tone, its fat and has a bite.

  • @Pimetalz Yeah dude. That shit's great! What an underrated bass player. Of course he's not the greatest, but give some respect to the man. He over-fulfilled his objective of laying down the lows.

  • @DLI848 I agree, probably the best bassist in terms of live performances. I mean we have to take in the consideration that he was filling Cliff's shoes. No other bassist could've done it like Jason. Too bad he never gets that much respect.

  • @Pimetalz Yeah. He wasn't that far behind Cliff skill wise, though. They're just differently, really.

  • @DLI848 I agree, although Cliff was a genius at composing songs, he wasn't the best bassist ever. He had all the potential though, but was cut short by his death.

  • @Pimetalz Well said, brutha man.

  • At this albums 25 anniversary they should remaster it and rerelease with the bass turned up.

They could call it And Jason for all or Justice for Jason version

  • Too bad jason didn't do this when recording. A shame :/

  • @CanduresFKN the rest of the band wouldnt let him turn up his bass this much ... it kinda sucks balls!!

  • @PoVerslaWe Nah, I don't think the band wouldn't do that because, what's the point of finding another bassist of his volume is so low, but I do know they did turned down his volume just to fuck with him

  • @eelkerients

lol if bein a rocker means bein a dumb racist asshole, then u would make me ashamed to be one...

  • @eelkerients your an ignorant dumbshit. i don't know if your tiny brain realized this, but he basically said that rap is his thing, but he thinks that Metallica is awesome. plus, what damage does it fucking do if he likes Metallica anyways?

  • i already thought and justice for all was their best album but these enhanced bass versions just make it even better. superb

  • bad idea to re-master the album nowadays, theyll make it sound like death magnetic (clipping and stuff)

  • @saberbazer

i dont think justice sounds horrible, minus the lack of bass its probably my favorite metallica album soundwise

  • bass??? this song have bass??? really??? this is real???

  • Sounds AWESOME xD

  • November 2012: Justice Days Revisited.

  • @pauliswicked And whadda ya know. Blackened is the first song on the album :D

  • They need to have copies of AJFA with the bass like this! AND JUSTICE FOR JASON!!!

  • a listen i black str8 hood nigga nuttin but rap grow up on biggie and pac and i still think dis shit raw as a bitch dem boi go hard and know how 2 play they shit dem boi go ham i dont shit bout dis type of music but i like demboy word dem boi be dummin word going all da way ham dem boi raw

  • @MOON1388 Thank you, you made my day. This is one of the GREATEST comments i've received in ANY of my videos.

  • @Toadmaster89

Every once and a while something magical happens...

  • @Toadmaster89 lol I don't even know what language that was. But I like what you did. I've always hated metallica's bass mix.

  • @MOON1388 what??

  • @MOON1388 I'm black 2, and I listen to classic rap, too. Classic rap is better than rap today, in my opinion. I also know this genre and rap all the way. Keep doin ya thing, my bro!!!

  • @MOON1388 goodmusic has no color,dude..you are a wise dude, dude! im white, love notorious B.I.G , and im 44 yrs old. bring it hard, ill listen! metallica are a literate band, always liked that they never underestimated the brain power of their listeners

  • @MOON1388 I wish everyone was as accepting as you (although the way you typed was hard to understand). My older sister is the only other non fan to be like that. I wish every non metal fan was like you. Although, you didn't talk trash about how James Hetfield sings, & I hate my sister for that. He sings great.

  • @MOON1388

    What.

  • @Shark71warrior he's saying he grew up with rap, but he like Metallica

  • @MOON1388 DuN GoOfEd UpP! hahahahaha

  • @MOON1388 That is just awesome! Nothing has ever fit a metallica song better than that comment.

  • @MOON1388 That was the hardest comment to read ever.

  • @MOON1388 Was that english? And, are you attempted to be Black? I'm pretty sure that 99.99% of Black people don't speak that way. It's insulting.

  • @MOON1388 good...job :)

  • @MOON1388 I hope we have converted another man into a metalhead!

  • @MOON1388 i only understood metallica is raw.

  • @MOON1388 i didnt understand a word you said. but im sure it was something positive.

  • Comment removed

  • a listen i black str8 street nigga i don pop my pistols and did my dirt grow up on biggie and pac and i still think dis shit raw as a bitch dem boy know how 2 play they shit dem boi jus be dummin da shit go hard and i like master of puppets i dont know shit bout this type of music but l like dem boy word dem boy jack

  • @MOON1388 ...the fuck did you even say?

  • @MOON1388 my fucking taxes paid for your education. god fucking dammit what a waste. i need to start selling weed again.

  • hahahahahah!! nice goin'!!!

  • This sounds ok...this record needs a little bass boost...not that much though

  • This song sounds much better with the enhanced bass on it! Great Job!!!

  • WOW now it's way too loud. No one can get this right >:(

  • @poobearpanda345 Yea, the bass is too loud. A little quieter and it's perfect!

  • Dude, that sounds waaaaaay fucking better! Can we get a rerelease or what?

  • i played this song at school cause we played a show and when we played this it was our opening song and there was a massive circle pit with 200 people in it

  • You should mix the bass a bit lower, make mp3's and make a torrent of it so I can have this on my phone and listen to!

  • @TheAbsorbant download ``Free Youtube to MP3 Converter´´, it a program that, well, the name says it, download videos from youtube and turn them in MP3, XD

  • its makes the guitar palm mutes more heavy. its brings out what song, i cant explain it

  • It feels like the bass makes the song seem faster, giving it more pep in its step if you will! It rocks and I wish they would remix.

  • Not too sure. on one hand it's a bass sound thats lacking. On the other hand it makes it makes Metaliica sound like a cover band. Never mind. good job.

  • Sounds fuckin awesome to hear justice with bass on it!But that raw sound when i turn on my justice cd is priceless....both versions rock!

  • they should remaster and rerelease the album

  • havent heard that before lol

  • omg...thats the first time i ever heard that suggestion. fuck yea more bass!

  • @HBK1337 i'd totally re-buy the album. justice was amazing, but enhanced bass is incredible. it adds to much more depth

  • @HBK1337 youre like the billionth person to say that. It does need to be done. Or shit, they should let the whole album get placed on Rock band or Guitar Hero as DLC so people cant update the bass themselves.

  • it has so much more power

  • sounds good dude!

  • Bass makes the song heavier and also gives it a steady beat, It's not just there it has a purpose, otherwise bands would have no use for them

  • Its too loud. But it kicks ass. with a better mixed bass it would sound cool.

  • Yeah, bass is deffinately not important. Even though it holds the band together and backs up the guitars. Moron

  • @MetalUnderground100 Very true. But, the bass makes the songs sound more heavier and/or meaner. At least in heavy metal songs.

  • @MetalUnderground100

lol at whoever said bass is not important, listen to dyers eve from AJFA then listen to one of the bass enhanced versions

adds such a brutal punch to the song

  • @MetalUnderground100 helps the drums, complete the harmony, etcetera...

  • Thanks man, hahaha! Lmfao! The last part of your comment makes no fucking sense at all. 'Like a homie'...wtf?! Hahahahahaha! I needed that laugh. Good shit X,D

  • I have listen to Metallica sence i was 1 years old :) now im 15 soon 16 :) Metallica FTW!

  • fantastic, sounds so much better now =D

  • personally, i love the way the album sounds how it was made, cause my fav instrument is the drums, thats because they are the heart and soul of a song, you need the drums for everything....its also the loudest instrument in this album :)

  • I also love drums, they are my 2nd fave instruments, my 1st is the bass, but still this album doesen´t bother me, it has great quality songs in terms of writing and as you said, the drumming is more than excelent.

  • @bokuroker

Dude, come on. It sounds epic with bass.

  • did I said it sucks with bass or something? I love it, its way better, and in my opinion the bass tracks for and justice for all are the best of all metallica albums in my opinion

  • hey its better to hear some bass than no bass at all

  • I love the original sound, it sounds great the way it is. Nicely hollow, polished and nihilistic.

  • this is gr8

do u know where u could get hold of this ? i would really much like to have it

  • ok the bass is a little too loud here lol

if a professional would remaster this album it would sound super great

    but still good job

  • sadly your wrong. most recording professionals agree that this original recording was way to hollow sounding. nowadays, of course the bass would be turned up for a heavier sound and maybe even the snare. i worked with professionals in recording studios over the last decade and would have to respectfully disagree.

  • but the bass was turned up too loud here

    there still should be balance

  • So let me get tis straight... the reason it didnt sound like this on the original album was because James and Lars thought it would be funny to "turn the bass down" as a joke?? Well, after millions of releases of the album, and the fact that people are still listening to this today, seems like kind of a harse practical joke/prank if ya ask me..

Great job and thanks for the vid Toastmaster89! Gives a whole new effect to a great song ive loved for years, the way it SHOULD have sounded!

  • not a joke, it was meant to show the emptiness of cliff in the band since he died.

  • @YORANUZ Were did you hear that?

  • its more common sense and also some documentary I saw, dont remember the title

  • @jaymarden Not a joke but more they were still grieving over the loss of Cliff Burton.

  • Hey nice video! =DD

    Please watch mine:

    /watch?v=Jh5lrFSEBWs

  • my favorite metallica album. with the enhanced bass, it is EASILY one of the best albums ever recorded

  • I've always loved this album. It should be re-released, either like this or with Rob completely replacing the bass track. It is a crime that this amazing album was weakened by a petty need to discount the new bass player.

  • yea like a remastered version with the original bass tracks louder and better mixing would be great

  • It should be released like this, maybe with a little tweaking so the bass isn't overpowering and it fits in the mix a bit better. If Rob re-recorded it, it would seem like a slight to Jason, and I don't think the band would want to do that (esp. Rob, out of respect)

  • It should be re-released with Jason's original bass. Just listen the bass only version, it's so fucking TIGHT.

  • @ekleve

Rob? No thanks. Not a good idea to turn one of metal's greatest albums into some revisionary/redux/remake bullshit...

  • the best bass mix ever =D

damn i can hear very clear everything

    good job =)

  • ! RAISING MY HANDS!!!!!

  • so who thinks metallica should re-release the first 4 albums with cliffs and jasons bass parts enhanced?? *raises hand*
