@alexgonick : yeah, its small and only mid-high 2nd, but its still a very difficult track, definately NOT beginner friendly since there is no room for error with how narrow it is, but i think its the perfect training ground to hone your handling skills, Inland drift was perfect to practice your higher speed stuff, so if u drifted at both, you would definitely become a pretty skilled driver.

@soulskate15 : a video is never too old to comment on my friend =], I daily drove a 240 with a welded diff for a long time, and i drifted it on thursday nights here, dailying a welded isnt bad but it isnt good either, its sometimes an unconfortable ride especially when taking sharp turns in parking lots gas stations etc. its not very safe to drive on during rainy days either as you have a zero slip diff under your car. it has its goods and bads. its mainly up to you. buy an LSD if you have the $

@romeosafadi : id go with an s13. its the lowest in price, good car to start out with, with plenty of aftermarket support. maybe move up to an s14 when ur a little more advanced as stock parts for that car are more difficult to replace if damaged. a corolla gts is a great car, i once had one myself but parts are very rare and expensive, not to mention the car itself is also hard to come by and is popular in the drift scene so theyre a little over priced.

I have absolutely no problem driving a few hours out to willow springs for a good solid day of track time but just because my car isn't "legally modified" and I drive fast doesn't make me a street racer. People that spend thousands so they can roll out at 2am and troll the streets because they paid a shop to drop in a large turbo should drive a smart car. aftermarket support in mexico is a definite no, im actually in yucatan MX at the moment on vacation, and havent seen any S chassis at all... the tuner scene here is extremely small. aftermarket support out here is probably extremely scarce, and NO there is barely any aftermarket support for the older nissan 300 Z, ive looked into it myself, for S chassis yes, but for older Z chassis no.. its very unlikely.

i dont know what you mean by drifting it "out", if u wanna do it, dont let anyone stop you, ive never seen one on the track before, and good luck finding aftermarket support, i doubt they really make any parts for that car, id personally consider trying to find a different car to work with.. i think that car is just gonna be a headache if u try to build it to drift...
what i meant was that some of these cars don't really look like they would have to capabilities to handle the drifts or be able to keep from stalling or spinning out during the drift. What i meant by "or is it just the track" is that if it was a slightly slicker-than-normal surface allowing these cars to drift, because of the hp limitations, suspension or whatnot.
stalling doesnt really happen during a drift, since ur RPMs are constantly up, spinning out is a skill level issue not a power level issue.. any rwd car can "handle" a drift, it just depends on the drivers preferrence, some drivers prefer underpowered cars, it all barrels down to the drivers skill level and machine preferrence. yeah the track was wet that day but watch my other videos, we tear it up when its dry too. theres nothing special about the track, its just like any other ordinary track.
??? i honestly dont understand what you mean by "or is it just the track?" that makes them drift.. but to answer your question to the best of my ability, the cars do have specific modifications making them easier to DRIFT..

what i meant was that some of these cars don't really look like they would have to capabilities to handle the drifts or be able to keep from stalling or spinning out during the drift. What i meant by "or is it just the track" is that if it was a slightly slicker-than-normal surface allowing these cars to drift, because of the hp limitations, suspension or whatnot.

stalling doesnt really happen during a drift, since ur RPMs are constantly up, spinning out is a skill level issue not a power level issue.. any rwd car can "handle" a drift, it just depends on the drivers preferrence, some drivers prefer underpowered cars, it all barrels down to the drivers skill level and machine preferrence. yeah the track was wet that day but watch my other videos, we tear it up when its dry too. theres nothing special about the track, its just like any other ordinary track.

??? i honestly dont understand what you mean by "or is it just the track?" that makes them drift.. but to answer your question to the best of my ability, the cars do have specific modifications making them easier to DRIFT..
