  • is that alpengiest next to it?

  • thats way to smooth to be drachen fire they got rid of it cause to rough for people

  • How many sets/expansion packs did you use for this?

  • How much did you pay for this?

    It's a custom coaster, isn't it?

  • can you make me one w/ instructions i will pay you

  • I am truly jealous, I have always wanted a coasterdynamix model so I could build recreations with it. Also I love how this doesn't fly around the track like most models.

  • wow its so smothe i love how it dosnt wait any time at all to go into an invertion!

  • god i miss that one!!!!!

  • Looks smoother than the original!

  • ROFL!!!

  • You should make this again in the griffon colors!

  • That is not a bad idea!

  • dude that coster model set thing ("coasterdynamix") looks soooo amazing i would have died for it as a kid. :(

  • I know what you mean! I always wished for a kit like this as a kid-!!! It has been worth the wait!

  • @eblekj - I am a a kid and i am building silverstar soon when my train arrives

  • spelt dragon rong ha ha sorry

  • @h4s3o2j1

Ok.....first, it is spelled Drachen. Second, you spelled "rong" wrong. Then "spelt". Nice.

  • that is not supposed to be "dragon", it's supposed to be "drachen". that's done on porpose.

  • thats a shit load of CD xD

  • just 1 dragon

  • oh lol does it have an expansion pack?

  • no lol. thats how big it is.

  • dam thats a big set oh whats with the zombies at 0:23 - 0:27 lol

  • read down....Dragon PLUS expansion pack

  • i just got the appollos chariot statix and will that work on those tracks ?

  • it will. But the griffon might not (dependig on if you have enough space between the supports and the track.

  • do these cost alot

  • where did u get this i didnt see it on the cd site

  • This is a Dragon kit plus an expansion pack. You can create just about any layout with the Coasterdynamix system.

  • dude thats kool a toy coaster i want one

  • Believe me its NOT a toy! These coaster models are 200 USD+

  • BTW drachen fire was a corkscrew style coaster

  • can u possibly post the original full-speed video cause i like watching them full speed

  • whats this for a train? (name)

  • great job. it looks just like the original which isn't easy to do with Coasterdynamix.

  • whats with the dead things?

  • My ride, sweet!! (I used to be a Drachen Fire ride op the year before they closed it for good.) Slowing down the video was a really smart idea. What is the coaster in the background?

  • This is one of the coolest custom designs I've seen using Coaster Dynamix. Should I even ask how much this cost you? lol I just ordered the Scorpion, and I'm already wondering how many expansions I'll need in the future!

  • Thank you.

It is one complete Dragon kit and parts form an expansion pack - mostly bases from the expansion pack.

  • Very cool!

  • thats a cool coaster and the good thing about it is that it dont go to fast

  • IT'S SLOWED DOWN

  • How do you get a Coasterdynamix car... Errrr... Idk how to say this... Not inverted...? Yeah... That's it! Not inverted... Cause I know that the ones they sell on the site are all hanging coasters... Also... I don't have Coasterdynamix, but how do you make custom tracks? Do you like... Have to buy the expansion packs? Or can you actually bend the pieces from the starter packs... Or... Whatever you wanna say... Or, do you just build them? SOMEBODY PLEASE RESPOND!!!!

  • The train in the video was a modified inverted - I cut the seats and flipped the chassis and glued the seat bottoms to the frame. The site does carry sitdown style and hyper trains. Look for 'Statix' on the website. Drachen Fire was made with the Dragon (a starter kit) and a few parts from an expansion pack - mostly extra base plates. You can bed the track into whatever layout you would like! :)

  • that should read "...bend the track..."

  • Okay... So you can bend the tracks? Also, do you have to bend the middle rail, then add the little V things and then the rails on the side to make a track piece?

  • There is a spine, cross ties and rails. The cross ties go on the spine, the spine goes on the rail. The rail and spine are completley bendable.

  • Awesome! So you can pretty much make anything with one of those premade sets like Serpent and Dragon and stuff?

  • Yep, pretty much if you have enough parts, you can make it.

  • Ohh yeah, the comet is completly pre-molded which means you can't customise the layout. The new pheniox comes with mostly bendable parts put some pre molded parts.

  • Man thats nice wish I could afford to build one. Great job!

  • omg u got everything a cobra roll,hammerhead,2inversions,1 loop!!!! holy!!!!!

p.z how much did it cost!?!?!?

  • as borat would say:

    VERY NICE!!!

  • how much money have you spent on these?

  • nice how much did it cost?

  • Nice job! I loved this coaster.....it was so different than the other Arrows. Are you the one with pics of these trains on the CoasterDynamix site? They look familiar. I'm the guy that made Raptor on there. Again, nice job.

  • Yeah! That is me on the website. I love the Raptor model, that got me more excited while I waited for my first Dragon to arrive.... Ahhhhh - memories..... LOL

  • :( Im saving up my money for a coaster dynamix set, probably the scorpion kit... Know anywhere I can get the kits in stores?

  • keep checking the coasterdynamix website. They are about to release a less expensive kit!

  • I been waiting 4 about 6 months now for some new release they said, do u hav a exact release date 4 it?

  • holy crap, you recreated drachen fire. That's crazy. That roller coaster hasn't even been around for a long time.

  • Love it. GREAT VIDEO!!

  • legal super massa!!!!

  • Good job

  • lol from jerod

  • I can't bilieve people actually think that this is real speed. Theres no way that something could be that slow and keep its speed up. Its obvious that its in slow motion.

  • yes it is. the guy even said so on page 3 of the comments. look!

  • This is not real speed.... the video is slowed down by half. These models look really fast on video and difficult to follow (usually). Thats why I slowed it down.

  • howd u get the trains to slow down like that?

  • nice coaster:) not so super fast like most are

  • how did you alter the cars

  • Very impressive! Especially since the video was not slowed down to capture a more authentic coaster speed. I also commend your Drachen Fire recreation. It's practically identical to the real thing. I'd love to see it come back to life, and you damn near did it with this model.

  • Thank you! I love this coaster and was rather angry when they destroyed it. I have to correct you on one thing though, the video is slowed down. While you can scale down size, gravity will pull on the object at the same rate as a full size coaster, so it ends up looking rather fast. I slowed it down by 1/2 because these models do not video all that well.

  • can you bend the track???

  • Yes the track is flexible.

  • To such a degree you can completely manipulate it into anything you want, right? And how many model kits went into that coaster?

  • yes, you can build just about anything you would like! That video is one full Dragon kit and part of an expansion pack.

  • Large or small?

  • well, that model is about 9 feet by about 3 feet. that is just the space it takes up on the floor... its about 2 feet tall.

  • the video was slowed down

  • what be kl if u some how got th camera to fit on it and do a pov

  • this is great..it's not super fast like the others..

  • this is cool because it doesnt go super fast

    5 stars

  • oh never mind this last post!!!! intocoasters said it wasn't slowed down in a past comment.

  • You made two!!! cool. And it's not slowed down. very cool

They made a griffon one, but the whole set isn't availible, just the recreated train

  • i think its because he slowed the video down

but honestly, that was excellent, great job.

  • Great recreation! i liked how it didnt fly through the course like others :)

  • Great job from 1 DF fan to another! - The Rapids Nerd

  • yours is cool, its realistic because unlike other models it doesnt go so fast around the track.

  • whereu buy this stuff from im from the uk sooo im not sure

  • the european import is done by coastershop(dot)de...

but it costs alot of money to make them because you need alot of expansion packs to get a coaster of this size..

  • I am glad you included the inversion that was removed after the ride opened.

  • How many sets did it take. Like how many Scorpion/Dragon/Expansion Sets did it take?

And did you slow down the video?

  • it is one complete Dragon and some supports from a large expansion pack. I dont think there is any track from the expansion kit, just supports/, joints, and bases.

Yes, the video is slowed to 1/2 speed. realtime always looks way too fast on video.

  • you should make little people to ride it with horrific head-banging action! no i'm just kidding but that's why that ride was closed down.

  • hey, im impressid. thats a good circuit you got there.

i bet it whizzes through the thing, you have slowed it down.

you have done a good job on the custom paintwork on the trains.

    well done.

    ***** 5 stars for that.

i wan't to buy coaster dynamix track and make a compac coaster some day, but only when coasterdynamix make a hyper or corkscrew trains.

  • they are going to release new trains soon! check their website...

  • Is Coasterdynamix Easier Than Knex?

  • I guess it depends on what you want to do. I think CD is much easier then K'nex when it comes to building working, realistic coasters. CoasterDynamix doesnt work too well if you want to build the Big Ball Factory.

  • coasterdynamix sux knex is the best of the best

  • 600$! thats rediculous even though thats about the coolest thing ive ever seen in my life. You could have saved your self about 570$ and just bought nolimts, the grafix on it are great and its alot of fun building your rollercoasters and seeing them run.

  • there seems to be a witch in your bedroom...also how did you get sitting down cars?

  • this is my halloween storage room, LOL... I cut the inverted seats, trimmed/sanded the headrests and then glued them to the chassis.

  • so you cant change them back?

  • nope, I cannot change them back.

  • damn. I once saw a Euro fighter model but i dont know if they are by coasterdynamx

  • They took it away because some people got injuries on it.

  • Could someone tell me please why they took drachen fire away? I went in 2004 and it was gone....and i didnt think to ask an employee why it was taken away. I would appreciate a reply because its driving me nuts!!

  • Cool model. And Rhythm78, the reason they took down Drachen Fire was mostly because of Roughness. Location was another factor. It was at the back of the park away from some of the atractions. Thats all I really know.

  • very nice!!

i remember seeing the Drachen Fire a few years ago from the Busch Gardens train. it was in disuse, but still fully assembled

  • cool

  • THAT IS AWESOME! But I wonder, around how much money to set up the ride?

  • That particular model is about $600 in parts. There are other complete kits starting around $160 on their website.

  • i have the scorpion model=)

  • its nice the way its slow then speeding around the track

  • Thank you! And yes, I bought the track from Coasterdynamix. The layout is my own creation and I modified the inverted train thats included into the floorless train that is in the video.

  • plus its reealistic..how much it cost

  • There are many kits and parts available from thier website. The ride you see in the video is about $600 in kits and parts.

  • nice did u buy the track for it??
