Neo-pagan witchcraft traditions have nothing to do with historical witchcraft. It's a shame Owen Davies didn't provide the people who made this documentary with more information on magic in general. The neo-pagan believers who consider themselves witches have been influenced by a lot of different religions and magical traditions. Magic and witchcraft were not considered the same. The local village healers were employed for protection against witchcraft. Paganism had died out by then.
