  • ok all you little kids out there, this is what the word"cool" means

  • WOO-HOO! This brings back memories!!!! T-W-A-N-G'N!!

  • He is touring in Britain shortly. with some "young guys"! Judging by the hair, this clip is from circa 1963-64, when this style was quite outdated, sorry to say, by four guys from Liverpool etc. Dont misjudge me, i DIG Eddy !!!

  • the original guitar god

  • Duane is a great rocker.

  • You know why? 'Cause he's Duane fucking Eddy!

  • Try listening to this during a summer road trip on the parkway or turnpike.

  • SUPERCLASS TWANG

  • What year? I want to say 1956.

  • @themazama 1965

  • Nothin' like that big body Guild!!

  • Damn look at those beautiful blonds! Now fast forward to today and they are in their sixties. I wonder if they can still shake like that.

  • I love these old videos. Especially the sixty stuff

  • thephbalance

Thanks for responding. It wasn't Sea Hunt.

  • I bought this tune as a ring tone for my cellphone but, I loved the song so much I wouldn't answer my phone.

  • @1971SuperLead that's cool.

  • @1971SuperLead I wish I could find that ring tone for mine. I, Like you , Love this song. I bet I can find that ring tone somewhere and that is now my priority, thanks for the idea. Any hints on where to find it will be welcomed

    Take Care 1971SuperLead

  • Duane was an awesome guitarist. Nobody into rock guitar should ever forget him!

  • @SweetSweetWaldo Duane Eddy, is still an awesome guitarist. Look for an all new CD from Duane Eddy in the near future. Duane...will play "The Ponderosa Stomp" in New Orleans, La this Fall 2010. Check out the Video from "The Deke Dickerson Guitar Geek Festival" that was held last January during Winter NAMM. Most of the Duane Eddy performance is on YouTube.

  • Sea Hunt?

  • Anyone out there remember a 1960s weekly scuba diving tv show where the begining of each show featured underwater clip of a guy in scuba diving gear jump off a rock and slowly fall while

    this song was playing???

  • @0289XYZ Show was called Sea Hunt starring Lloyd Bridges, Jeff bridges father.

  • @drdetroit58 Sea Hunt had different theme music. This was a dive show on TV from a LA basin TV Scuba show. They would discuss local diving areas and new scuba quipment.

Sea Hunt was a good TV show.

  • Where was this video from? A TV show, I presume.

  • Per wikipedia:

Hullabaloo is a musical variety series that ran on NBC from January 12, 1965 through August 29, 1966. Similar to Shindig! it ran in prime time. in contrast to ABC's American Bandstand

  • @Mdebacle Thanks for the info!

  • oh if only we could bring all this back again, love the way the girls dance

  • agreed...I'm an '85 baby and wish i was around for some 60s and 70s music

  • great song, great video, great clip. Thanks

  • What..dance are they doing..

  • They're mostly doing the dance called The Jerk. A lot of the go-go dances of the time looked similar though.

  • @theblueeyedhonky

    The dancing is called 'go-go'

  • Pretty interesting. I didn't think I would see that to rockabilly twang music, but I guess I know nothing.

  • @theblueeyedhonky

    Good point

Rebel Rouser came out in 1958..

This TV show is 1965, so they were going a little retro.

  • This song was and I suppose still is the fight song for my old high school. It became popular for the band to play it in the mid-1960s when I was a kid and served as the fight song for the team's entrance and for every TD.

  • this isn't hullabaloo it's hollywood a go go

  • Duane Eddy . played the Hollywood Bowl with the 80 piece Los Angeles Philharmonic and just finished the Guitar Town at the Copper Mountain Music Festival. Some sad news is that Larry Knechtel, has Died (8/20/09) Larry was one of Duane's Rebels. He Played Bass, Harmonica and Keyboards for duane. He later joined" The Wrecking Crew "and then He joined "Bread" and played that great guitar solo on "GuitarMan" He won the Grammie for his arrangement and Pinao playing on "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

  • nice twang-ing

  • Duane Eddy is the KING!

  • I like how the chicks dance :3

  • Catchy tune. Can't forget it. Sometimes when I play my guitar, I'll just start playing that tune. Often times the seemingly simple melodies are the best.

  • Makes you want to watch forest gump run forrest run

  • The guy is actually from up state NY, Corning.

  • run forrest run

  • reverb drenched hollow body sound.....what else do you need....one of the best........

  • The sax player is Jim Horn, not Boots Randolph.

  • One of the great Rock'n'Roll Instrumentals of all time. I think that was dubbed (as they usually do on TV shows) from the original hit recording. I think the sax player was actually Steve Douglas playing on that record.

  • Give the man with the incredable sax some credit. The fabulous Boots Randolph.

  • The man and his guitar, it can only be Duanne Eddy, I simply love his play.

  • The man speaks with his hands, and the story he tells is this, rock on.

  • I know I shouldn't but I wish for the feeling I had back in those days, when everything seemed so innocent~

This brings back the memory for sure

  • They're doing the Jerk, sweet!

  • today 26-4-2009 : Happy 71th birthday Duane ! !

  • I remember this 'far out' song, and what a cool video

    thank you, Thierry

  • thxxu

  • One of the best rock 'n' roll songs ever

  • Yeah you can tell by the brick wall.

  • This is from "Hollywood A Go Go" (1965).
