I enjoy Astaire, but can't picture him as an everyday kind of guy. As much as he tries to be that guy, he just oozes too much elegance to be fully believable. But Kelly? That "regular guy" attitude comes through in all his dancing, and makes him much more relate-able.
Kelly could drive a '32 Ford in American Graffiti, break into dance at the drive-in, and I'd believe it. But I'd have to laugh if Astaire broke into dance, a pack of Camels stuck in the rolled-up sleeve of his T-shirt!

I freakin LOVE Gene Kelly ... I used to listen to this song all the time haha.
He is AMAZING.
