JJP is just incredible... I've a whole new level of respect for the dude. His passion for what he does and the honesty in the way he speaks is just so refreshing. Cool DUDE.
@CountToBen I honestly feel a little guilty using these sometimes. I am like "god if I keep using these presets and plugs, am I ever going to be a REAL engineer?" If they didn't sound so great I wouldn't use the darn things. Especially when I have clients waiting for product.
@spindlebox Lol. Most of my work is fast turnover rush jobs anyway so I don't mind that it helps me cut corners. The way you gotta look at it is that it frees you up to focus on other details that otherwise you wouldn't have been able to work on.
First time viewer, second episode watxhed. I am gobsmacked! don't know why I never came across this before. Just randomly came here after searching Alex Da Kid.
Great place to learn and benefit my music production. Thanks.
Jack Joseph is a genius at explaining concepts i have learnt more than i have ever known about compression in just this one episode completely changed my mixing

This has just blown me away... To see JJP talking for more than an hour about such detailed production related stuff is perhaps the most weighty blow since the launch of Youtube to make me sit back and think how much our consumer entertainment avenues have changed so much - and for the better.
I can't find anything to watch on normal TV, yet i could sit for an entire day non stop and watch these guys talk with JJP
I just can't stop watching this... Everytime i watch it, i learn something new. Thanks JJP and thanks to the Pensados Place Crew for making this happen...
im actually sitting on a project and have no time to waste.. it had to be done yesterday but i tuned in here "for just a second" and here i am at 0:53:34 and still cant turn it off. Keep up this quality show please.
Wish youtube let you do two thumbs up because this episode deserves better than just one!!!! Keep up the GREAT work, we love the show here in SWFL!!!! Thanks!
@audiotrax2000 i guess you haven't noticed that engineers and producers that actually give a shit about what they work on don't have time to give a shit about their physique. when you work 16+ hours a day you have to be committed.
Great job guys--unbelievable show. I love the insights into these guys' workflow (i.e. Jack's system of what track each instrument belongs on). Any chance to do a show designated to workflow (tips and tricks when tracking and mixing)? Thanks once again!
Love the show! Got an idea that might make it more easy to navigate. You could put when each segment of the show begins in the description so that people can skip to whatever part of the show they want to watch. Just an idea :)
I like the shows, I just wish that a show about audio and techniques would have less background chatter, ambient noise, stuttering, gulping water, cell phones going off, etc. How about getting Rupert Neve on there? That would be cool before he gets too old to make sense. Good night the water gulping is loud!!!
Nice interview. Jack was interesting. It could've used some editing to get rid of the host's misfires and ramblings. The guy asking the questions was horrible!
Wow! learned so much from this! specially regarding compression!
But hey! 43 minutes in! was there a party going on backstage? or were there a million laptop artists there getting excited about what jack was talking about?
2) Real instruments-Rock song:Real Drums,Base Gt. ,Power chords,Clean Gt.,Lead Gt. Solo, Aoustic Gt, Piano,Organ B4,Lead Vocal and some beck vocals, mixed from Dave for the show .That is a must.Song writhen for the show, like atem of the show. That would skyrocket the show. Please consider ths idea.
Thanks Dave and Jack and all the staff for the show! After this I am more in love with music! Can you tell when and where could I watch the show live, and where can I sing for the chat room? Thanks a lot again y saludos desde argentina!!!
now I know I always compressed too little in parallel... always wondered what i did wrong - i defenitly learned a lot about this topic in this show. This was by far one of the best of the best episodes of Pensado's Place!
Still I want more ITL's...
JJP really is a cool guy, actually only knew him from comments from here... ^^
Another GREAT show guys...Thanks to Dave, Herb, Drew, The Crew & JJP. And to the new sponsor Alex From VintageKing. com...Very informative show, u gotta watch it several times so you can digest this information, JJP is a sciencetist and a walking enciclopedia...Godbless u all.
WOW! As cliche as it sounds, this episode has really changed my life. Dave and JJP definitely touched on something special with this one. The passion and knowledge for the music really leaped out. As an independent artist, I would like to thank Dave and JJP for inspiring me to achieve that "magic". Amazing show!
Without a doubt one of the best thus far! I keep saying I am a rookie, but this show made me feel like I have a chance to make real music here in my office. The genuine talk of passion in music and 'feel' first is nothing short of inspiring. My guess is a compliment you all would love to hear is that I want to grab my guitar and write a song right now so I can record it and really capture it! Amazing that I will never do what you do, but can gain so much from it. Thanks to all of you at the show
