Elvis could have knocked this song out of the park, too bad it came out 3 years after he died. It sounds like a 1960's country song, im surprised it was such a hit in 1980 (just because it sounds like an older song) but its a great song. The Everly Brothers did a good cover of it, I'm guessing in the 83/84 comeback period but I cant be sure.

@daveyanna From the research I've done and interviews of people that new Elvis, He did want Priscilla to come back because he missed his family unit but he also wanted his cake and eat it too. No one really knows how Elvis felt about anything he isn't her to defend himself and no one can speak to for him not even Priscilla. Thank You so much for watching and commenting.

This makes me think of my mother and father .... she passed before he did and till this day I know he still can say she was the love of his life and mother of his children..It so sad things just don't always work the way u want them to they were divorced when i was 4 but they new remarried....

I think this was the true love of his life...."our Elvis" will love him forever...I must have been in the 7th grade the first time I heard him... he was on the jukebox where we all got snacks ar lunch ..I think us girls almost fainted when we heard that voice...all these many years later I still love & have most of his music..My allowance went to buy his records at the record store & they had his picture on the covers...Still have those old 45's vinyls but now replaced with CD's..ELVIS FOREVER!

To me love goes beyond the grave so I don't think the song is fitting that way to Elvis & Priscilla........They might have divorced in life but it doesn't mean they had stopped loving each other for the time they had together & the beautiful daughter they shared........
