Was sollte hier vorbereitet werden? Wer die Welt schockieren will, bereitet das nicht auf derartige Weise vor. Die zeitlichen und inhaltlichen Parallelen haben für mich eher was mit Gruppenbewußtsein und Quantentheorie zu tun.
@Caellest89 Going from the materials I read at the time, Telegate was using the plane as a symbol of destroying their old slogan of "Da werden sie geholfen", as this commercial was supposed to introduce a new marketing strategy for Telegate, and the new slogan "Die kennt sich aus-kunft".
The timing for this spot, however, was quite unfortunate, as no one would have expected that people would do something very similar to what is depicted here in real life.

I remember reading in Telegate's 2001 annual report that this commercial got withdrawn due to 9/11, and they went to the second-tier ads earlier than they had previously planned. Seemed to work out, though, since the second-tier ads were far more interesting, with the bank robber and the angry woman and such, and the 11880 guys showing up and doing their thing.
I was there too, we later built and filmed the miniatures (plane and billboard etc.) in Munich.
It was truly crazy to see the first news about 911 happening 2 days after the spot aired... but they pulled it within hours, at least very very quickly. I don't remember seeing the commercial after I saw the news about what had happened in NY
