@GeoGarcia10 I tried to play 7. It was so damned fast that I couldn't get the notes right. I've been meaning to slow it down, if I get it I'll get vid up.
@falx94 I bet it would be hard. I had my musician friend listen to it, and he said it would be a pain in the ass to play, due to its speed. I got him to play a cover of the theme from the NES game Rygar "Sagila's Cavern". It was a pretty awesome cover. Some old school video game themes were ahead of their times and it's cool to have musicians to bring them back.
@falx94 Cool. I'd be stoked to hear it. The game has a lot of good memories to it. Hell, they use the level 7 music when you fight the plutonium boss at the end.
@falx94 I still play it occasionally via NES PC Emulators. I use Nestopia. My Mom actually found an easy way to beat the Plutonium boss. You use grenades on turbo and pin him in the upper right corner and grenade the sh** out of him. He will position himself right in front of you, even if you get there before him and you will just see his legs in front of you. You need "Turbo" or "Auto fire" for the grenades, not just tapping like a meth fiend. I'm a save freak on the emulators too. Lol
@GeoGarcia10 Emulators are amazing, I use them for NES, SNES, GBA and PS1. I've got the Blaster Master ROM and I'll still play sometimes too but it's harder playing on a keyboard and I don't have a USB controller. That's definitely one of the classic games, though.
@falx94 I got a Logitech Playstation style controller and I use it for all the emulators (especially the PS1 Emulators). It makes things a lot easier, and I set it up so I can play Perfect Dark on the N64 Emulator "Call of Duty" style with the analog sticks for sidestepping and aiming. Of course it makes it hard to shoulder fire on the game since it uses a different style, but what the hell, it works for me. The controllers are like $15 or $20 bucks. It's worth it :-)
@GeoGarcia10 Oh really? I didn't realize they were that cheap, I definitely need to invest in one. Playing with the keyboard makes things REALLY awkward, I forget where I mapped the buttons half the time.
@falx94 Yeah, the prices vary depending on what you want. I like the Playstation style, since I'm familiar with it. I'm pretty sure I saw them at Fry's Electronics for a pretty good price. I want to get another one, so I can have a two player option, plus my other one is getting old. They are pretty fun to use on arcade emulators too, since it is a more comfortable format as opposed to using the arcade controls.
@GeoGarcia10 I love the Playstation style, the PS2 is my favorite console. My friend has a USB controller like that and I've borrowed it before to play games that you really can't play on a keyboard like Silent Hill and Smash Bros. Most of the games I get are RPGs because you can use keyboards for those, it just takes getting used to.
@falx94 I still play Final Fantasy VII on my PS Emulator. I love the instant save option and the fast forward option. I can level up my characters using the fast forward, since the battles go by in a flash while I keep tapping the confirm to attack button. I'm presently leveling up in the first area of the game where you have a little more free roam and I'm already on Lv. 30. I'm going to see how high up I can get and be a badass early in the game.
@GeoGarcia10 Oh I've got that emulated too, that's my favorite game ever made. I was about halfway through the game before my old computer crashed and I had to start from scratch...but I've never thought about using the fast forward option. I totally forgot the emulator could do that.
@GeoGarcia10 I might start using that, because the random encounters piss me off a lot when I'm trying to get somewhere, especially when it's far away.
@falx94 Yeah. I like the ability to save anywhere at anytime. If a battle is going well, one can always save at a good point and if it starts to go downhill you can always reload and be ready for any cheap shots that the opponents unleash. I still use the in game saves, as a form of extra security. I do need to make an off hard drive backup in case the worst happens.
sir..you bring tears to my eyes!!! congrats!!!

Stage music just sounds off and disorienting. Guitars do not necessarily a good remix make.

kinda falls apart once it hits the stage music.

I like how back in the 80s, the only premise you needed for a great video game was:
Frog gets mutated due to radioactive waste in backyard and runs to another world.
Frog's owner finds portal to another world and a tank.
Frog's owner proceeds to disembowel the other world with said tank.
PROFIT!

@GeoGarcia10 I've actually got how to play it down, but oh my God is it hard. There's gonna be a ton of practice involved.

@falx94 An editing program can help, unless you consider that cheating lol
GeoGarcia10 1 year ago
@GeoGarcia10 Haha no, I don't consider that cheating. I've got it down for the most part, I just have to fine tune it so I don't screw up anything.

@GeoGarcia10 I remember that! I beat the game without glitching it, it was really hard. Blaster Master was my version of Halo.
