Im an american in Japan...and ive tried this game out at the arcades over in Tokyo...gotta say compared to KoF 98 and 2002 this game feels incomplete. I felt like i wasn't in charge of my characters. Like the control is wild...like they have a mind of their own and they dont feel like doing what you tell them to do. I'll stick with KoF 98, 2002 and SSF4 :P

@NeroAtsumori From a female's perspective, I disagree. The KOF series has always been more of a complicated game to play in my humble opinion. Even other long time gamers like myself share the same sentiments. I personally have been playing SF games since 94' and I must say that I have a MUCH easier time with those games, even SSFIV was a breeze. Playing KOF games on the other hand...I usually just get my ass handed to me like clockwork.

They basically took out everything that made 12 shitty and rebuilt the game from the ground up. KOF 13 is like a mix of KOF 98 and 2002 with a twist, arguably two of the best games in the series.

People really just hated XII because it was unfamiliar and they couldn't adapt their ancient playstyles. (Not that the netcode wasn't atrocious)

@Zappafan1980 KOF 2002 is good because the recovery timing is different for every char, bugs like unblockable Athena ball-teleport are fixed, old system 3 vs 3, cancel mode, and because is the fastest KOF in his gameplay. Most people unlike 2002 is because hates cancel mode.
