@wan2shuffle not all flowerhorn are part of the formula. The original formula is a mix between trimaculatum cichlid ,and texas cichlid.Then the second generation is mix with Synpilum. If a flowerhorn is mix with parrots they will change colour becomes like a red devil cichlid but the shape of flowerhorn.
@on9hockeu I think your way off. I have seen a Trimac crossed with a Blood parrot and it looked much like a flowerhorn. I think texas was only a very small part of the formula. Flowerhorns were made from at least 5 species or even more.

1:05 isn't a flowerhorn. It's a Nandopsis Tetracanthus. AKA Cuban Cichlid.
