the top case rim is catching on the case rim under it... when loading a rimmed cartridge you should keep the muzzle slightly raised and take care to place the rounds layered correctly... (top rounds rim closer to the chamber than the next) after a short time it becomes second nature

Any luck finding out what this is? I just had the same problem today shooting my 2nd mosin. First one didn't have the problem.

make sure when you load, the rim of the top round is in front of the rim of the bottom round.

rimlocking maybe. when you load make sure you stack the rims. or is that the last cartridge?

Wrap a Rag around it and beat it with a mallet. Rubber that is. But Regardless, BEAT IT! Works every time.

Kamaka the round is no where near the chamber it getting stuck further back it is probably rim lock on the round under it or Interruptor Ejector

Looks like your using empty brass. Try it with a live round. The flat of the lip is catching on the magazine internals.

yea i had this problem too. its just like they said its catching on the rim below it. just load it more carefully and you'll be straight

The magazine interruptor keeps that from hapening. Perhaps it is in need of a look.

the rim could be catching on something or the tiop of the neck could be catching on one of the edges in the reciever
