  • beautiful advert! i love the song!

  • It is not a 1970s commercial. It iis from the 1960s. The mothers hair style and clothes and also the 1960s persil box and the 1960s Hoovermatic twin tub all confirm it is a 1960s advert.

  • Nice :)

How old must be the little girl today? ^^

  • I had a twin-tub a LONG time ago. It amazes me that in the UK, lot of FAMILIES still did their wash in twin-tubs until the late 70s.

  • From around 1972/1973

  • One of the signs of a mother's care.... these days a lot of kids are in daycare - a sad time for society!

  • @rhyfelwrDuw I know what you mean. It's commercials like this that make me glad I had my abortion.

  • @Origafy lol

  • @rubysson57 be careful

  • thats such a sweet ad.... a reminder of the fun & innocence of children and a mothers' adoration...Id buy it even today-timeless..

  • Nigo82

A truly wonderful little ad. I'm looking for any Persil ad from the 1990s. More specifically I'm looking for the one of that was set on a family yacht. I think the ad slogan was "Time and Again" although I'm not too sure about that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Notice the look on the boy's face on the Persil box...it's like "uh oh, what's she doing with that flower?" I love it!

  • what r u talkin about? he just looks like a happy kid?!

  • The announcer said "Persil...One of signs of a lovers care...Persil washes whiter."

Nice Zoom-in box at the end!

  • If you'll listen again, the announcer actually says "One of the signs of a MOTHER's care"...which is what the ad is about... I wouldn't buy those 2 as lovers for a minute.

  • I thought he said lovers!

  • this is more likely a 1960s ad given the washing machine and persil box designs. the Twin tub is Hoovermatic model 3301L made in UK 1964- 1967

  • OMG - we used to have a washing machine like that. You had to pull it towards the sink and put the hose into the sink for it to empty! It was a real pain!

  • I've got one of those machines that I use to do my laundry :-)
