My hometown had a similar hack: Dan Rostenkowski, and the GOP took him down in the 90's. They only got him for some postal priviledge abuse and he went to jail. Stevens represents only 670,000 people and is famous for the bridge to nowhere pork project. There will be no national sympathy for this bastard.

However, people often support the guy who brings it home. Alaska gets way too many federal dollars back for every dollar paid in taxes, nearly 2:1. My state loses $.25 per dollar paid.
