  • Really do not understand why some say this bike is "good for training only" and others "doubt so". Guess you guys must be pro riders. For me, this is a great bike and I've done some serious miles over the hills of South West Scotland in the last two years since I got it. No plans to change to carbon either.

  • nice bike but you need to change your helmet to Giro - good match.

  • can I get this bike in this paint still 2010? I love this paint

  • @Powercomputer005 This is 2009 model the new one has different paint.

  • @ctenochaetus ok but I can´t see a 1.9 on Trek´s website

  • @Powercomputer005 If you are looking on US trek website 2.5 is same as mine.

  • @ctenochaetus oh thanks. I´m from Germany you should know and, well, in Germany are much things so bullsh**

  • now that I have been riding for a while I would love to get a carbon frame! I love the 1.9, just a carbon frame would make the whole thing nicer!

  • Some say its gd for training but i doubt so. Its a gd bike. Just because its an aluminium frame, they say its only gd for training!

  • That's a pretty looking bike, I just ordered my 2010 2.3, will post the video later........I can't wait!

  • Beautiful bike!!! Congratulations

  • i used tis bike n becomes my favourite.i'm very thin thus changed the parts to 105 n wow my performance improved.

  • I got this bike last fall!

It is my first road bike and I love it! I got it for 1.100 euros here in Austria and I enjoy every miute of it!

I have only been road biking snce I got the bike and it´s just the best investment I´ve ever done actually!

I also had the chance to try the 2010 2.1, which is actually the same as the 1.9 ut only comes with Shimano 105 and doesn´t seam as agrewssive with the paint as the 2009 1.7.

It is white silver red black!

  • i bought this bike today but it was the 2010 model and it is black and silver beatiful bike and smooth ride good for your money i got it for $2000

  • @spinetj014. I like the new one too. Yes they are good bikes very smooth. Good Rides man.

  • @ctenochaetus the trek 1.2 is amazing

  • I have a 2009 Trek 1.5.

We don't have the 1.7/9 in the U.S..

The 1.5 is Trek's top all aluminum bike.

It's a shame. A 1.9 would've been my ideal local crit racer. I'm currently in the process of building up my 1.5 to 1.9+ specs.

While I'm also getting a Madone 5.2 Pro and will be building a custom road bike as well, my 1.5 is going to stay with me forever.

It was Bicycling Magazine's Best Entry Level Bike of '09 (but I already knew that before they realized it).

    8^)

  • True, it would be nice - but since Trek now offers the 2010 2.1 and the 2010 Madone 4.5 with the exact same kit of parts its now. just down to what type of frame you want. either 1250 for the 2.1 or sub 2k for the 4.5

  • The 1.7 and 1.9 is called the 2.1 and 2.3. However the 2009 model of the Trek 1.9 is the 2.1 which comes with Tiagra and 105 while the 1.7 is the 2.3 which comes with 105 and Ultegra. Both are very fine bikes I own a 2.1 and love it.

  • What is that light you have on it? It's cool

  • TREK light.

  • The 4.5 is garbage. No integrated seat mass. 5.1+ is probably the better line.

  • @dahgutone , I agree

  • got it too....amazing bike...very comfortable and fast!

  • can you buy that in the US?

  • can you just give me this please just ship it to my house i want one so bad

  • ur an idiot. wat if i ask u for ur dumbass gutair. dipshit

  • It was supposed to be like a joking around comment man haha cuz this bike is so cool. I actually just bought my first bike a couple weeks ago. A KHS Flite 700.

  • Paint job looks nice.

  • *zoom* krrrrrrrrrrrk *zoom*

  • madone 4.5 is so much cooler then the 1.9

  • agreed

  • That comment is worth as much as saying that a Porsche is much cooler than a Fiat Punto

  • ye i know the 4.5 is like 3x more :( but the colours and lines on that are so darn sexy

  • Yes agreed. Dont really know what to think of the 2010 color schemes...and...seems like Ultegra now only comes at higher priced models.

  • wicked...

  • that camera is loud

  • It's freaking kodak lol.

  • Wow here in the US, this bike is called the 2.1 and i have it, its a really balanced bike. But what i want to know is if those ultegra parts came as stock on the bike? Cause mine came with 105 and Tiagra.

  • Yes Ultegra came with the bike and the price of the bike is 1.600.00 Euro.

  • Ahh so that's about $2130. Well thanks, its a ncie bike and i like you're bottle cages!

  • That is waaay too much...list price in Germany is EUR 1'299. I got it for EUR 1'100 as I had modifications also done at same dealer.

  • question for you. What size is your wheel in inches? the web site says that the wheels on the 2.1 are smaller than the 2.3. I ask cuzz I'm debating which one I should buy.

    What say you?

  • Are you from the U.S? Here, the 2.1 has carbon seatstays. In the video, no carbon seat stays. Wheel size of the 2.1 i believe is 700x23c, i do not know in inches.

  • I think this bike does not have the carbon fiber seat stays.

  • It does have a bontrager carbon fiber seat and a carbon fiber fork too.

  • Yes they do, ships with ultegra as standard.
