  • thats like , when your playing blackops , and your 10 and 0 , then some mother fucker stabs you from behind .. one away from dogs ..

  • @Stinger49 agreed, definetly

  • @2424cookie yeah ok. Fuck u. Ur whole team is victor, cabrera and verlander, it sounds like ur jealous about jimenez. At lesat we can prove that we can pull off a big trade. Also, now that victors hurt, i say the tribe wins the division, and detroit gets the wild card if theyre lucky. U guys also lucked out on jhonny peralta. If jhonny peraltas ur starting SS or 3B, it just makes ur infield much weaker.

  • ARE YOU EVEN ALLOWED TO RUN ON THE GRASS PART ON THE PITCHERS SIDE IN THE BASE PATH GOING TO 1ST?????.....I DONT THINK YOU CAN

  • still hurts to watch.

  • Jim Joyce is one of the best there every will be . . . yet what is is he now most remembered for?

  • Homeplate ump is like thank god I'm not at first base right now.

  • BULL SHIT

  • At least galarraga was calm about it. If this were Carlos Zambrano, there would be a pile of dead babies in the parking lot after the game.

  • Go tribe. Fuck u tigers fans! Haha

  • @dakmaster9 fuck you

  • @dakmaster9 Hahahahahah how's the Indians fair this year? hahahaha they blew it, Tigers are your 2011 AL Central Champs bitch! Sucks to lose, doesn't it. Screw the tribe.

  • @dakmaster9 INDIANS SUCK...THEY TRADED FOR JIMENEZ BUT THAT DIDNT HELP THEM....THEY SUCK MAN

TIGERS ARE WAY BETTER EVEN WITHOUT VICOTOR MARTINEZ AND MIGUEL CABRERA AND JUSTIN VERLANDER....THEY ARE BETTER AND YOU ARE JEALOUS THAT THE TIGERS ARE BETTER THEN YOUR SUCKY INDIANS

  • Not worst call ever, but one of the worst.

  • Worst call in MLB hiatory

  • @FROZYO they review.

  • the mlb is the only professional league that does not review calls or plays... that needs to change.

  • did he get the no hitter, or did they call it a hit?

  • @Reid1Reid1 Since the runner "beat it out" (bullshit) it counts as an infield hit... :(

  • I refuse to support MLB until they bring in instant replays and calls can be challenged.

  • Umpire managers look so funny, lol! Look at Leland in his baseball attire, he looks like a cartoon character!

  • jim joyce can't ump games for whatever team that galarraga plays for. This game still has the Indians with 1 hit. we know that the tigers won 3-0 with ZERO hits, Jim Joyce. the 1st baseman clearly beat the runner. therefore that hitter was out.

  • BULLLLSHIT, BULLLLSHIT

  • did he retire after that day?

  • tie does go to the runner.. but it wasnt a tie he was out by at least a foot, bad day for mlb

  • I was at the game BULL SHIT!!!!!

  • what is really impressive is armando behavior; joyce had no more choice than apologize, he should be talking to bud selig right now in order to revert de decision, Jim is like a modern member of Ku klus Klan, he is just a racist, you can see it in his face, the omnipotence.Umpires daily changes their calls, so why he didn't? IT WAS A DARK DAY FOR BASEBALL!!!

  • love the crowd, "yayyyyy, o crap, boooooo!!!"

  • i was at this game:(

  • Armando Galarraga was perfect. MLB umpires are, and always have been flawed. Jim Joyce isn't half as bad as "country Joe."

  • The only perfect game with 28 outs. Go Tigers!!

  • And it looked like the Home Plate umpire was yawning as Jim ran over there????

  • Even the baseball runner was like oh shit.

  • Tie goes to the runner...

  • @RyanDaRizzle it wasnt a tie

  • @RyanDaRizzle tie goes to the out asshole and he was out by a foot

  • @tehozzyfan Tie goes to the runner...

  • so is there any way to reverse the call even after the game had ended? There is clear evidence that the empire is a piece of shit and even apologized for his bad call. So just rewrite history books that it was a perfect game, rather than just in the minds of fans.

  • @hep5 lol, empire?

  • @senorcardgage678 duh... obviously i meant umpire. This isn't a spelling bee championship.

  • @hep5 You're wrong, it actually is the spelling bee championship and you just lost.

  • @senorcardgage678 the fact that you even pointed out "empire" means that you knew what I meant.

  • not saying what he did was wrong, but honestly, in a human perspective, if i was in jason donald's (the batter's) shoes, i wouldnt have tried to sprint that one out. i believe this is one of a few instances, such as when football/basketball teams getting blown out put in guys who dont get much playing time, where the opponent should concede respect for a perfect game and not try to beat that throw out. wouldve loved to see galarraga get this, he hasnt been the same pitcher since

  • @badking786 well yes, that would make sense, but it wouldnt feel like a perfect game if the entire team didnt try the entire time, right??

  • who hit the ball where he was safe at 1st

  • You have a sweet camera

  • Armando Gallaraga is the only pitcher to record 28 outs in a perfect game!!!

  • 0:40 drunk guy screaming 'faggot'

  • @thunderlips6311v2

    He's saying batter.............

  • @gottamakewage i know it sounds like faggot

  • I like how @ 1:11 coach comes out instantly...lmao

  • GO BREWER'S!

  • 28 up 28 down

  • Almost as bad as Jerry Meals' call.

  • Comment removed

  • Jim Joice Fucked Up The Season. You Moron

  • i wuz at that game. i wuz miserable after that

  • jim joyce didnt want to see a non white player throw a perfect game. kkk beard and shit. hes a racist motherfucker.

  • @jcorlieon your a moron throwin out the race card make you the racist

  • go Tigers!

    I really love this team.

I wish I had been there...

  • At least Detroit fans didn't throw bottles onto the field like they did in the '34 W.S., ;72 ALCS & the Ron Artest Brawl.

  • What the runner should've done was at least say to the umpire, "dude, i was out" instead of celebrating with his first base coach.

  • @yrtyrtyytrytry

    1. Umpires are not aloud to reverse their calls. Ever. If the runner said he was out it wouldn't have changed shit.

    2. He wasn't celebrating. If you look at him you can see that he puts his hands on his head and looks really guilty, like he had just been handed a hit he didn't deserve. This is more apparent when you see a better angle of him.

  • @NathizzleDrizzle Umpires can and do reverse calls actually, they can convene, discuss as a group and overturn. I just watched it happen last week when the Tigers and Blue Jays played, and have seen it happen before that as well. Watch some baseball before commenting.

  • @billgridzak Right, but in order for that to happen the other umpires have to talk with the first based umpire and can only influence his decision if they saw something, which usually does not happen even if the call is bad.

  • BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT in the background yup

  • im glad theyre in good terms but as a die hard baseball fan when i see this video it still kinda pisses me off that this poor guy got robbed, oh well theres truely worse things in life, you never know what could happen maybe hell wind up throwing a no hitter before his careers over, its a crazy game.

  • wow. there is way too much jim joyce bashing here. galarraga forgave the guy.. and some of you want joyce dead. what the heck?

  • 28 outs in a game. That's a record.

  • that ball goes fast

  • That ump shud drop dead! This makes me so angry i feel really bad for armando

  • how did he keep his composure? I would've beat up that fucker on the spot. But maybe not if he bought me a ferrari

  • We all know he was safe so Jim Joyce can SUCK IT!!

  • Why did'nt Jim leyalnd go nuts ???

  • @tonysacco79 because he's the sauce boss

  • "Jim Joyce NOOOOO!"

  • @yankees1234577 i see ya jim joyce, i see ya!

  • lol i galarragas face hes sayin to him self i wanna fukin kill u but i will just smile

  • Why does the manager always comes out of the dogout if the umpire will NEVER change his call about outs and safes, and about strikes and balls??? What he expects him to say? "Oh, u'r right, I'm blind, he's out! Sooorry :P"

  • Jim Joyce go to hell

  • Jim Joyce should be banned from the league and gallaraga should get his perfect game, this is coming from a white sox fan

  • it wasn't a one-hitter. he had a 28-out perfect game; it was just extra perfect

  • damn dude... it was a year ago already!@@!?

  • thumbs up if you think leyland should have said more to the ump.

  • he didn't get a perfect game, but at least he got a car -___-

  • So is that called a perfect hitter

  • At least he can say " I have pitched a one hitter"

  • I bet Jim Joyce said, '' I hope you realize you just F@#$&* up history.''

  • @sports4life85 you mean jim leyland...dumbass

  • @15gbsoccer You mean Jim Leyland.

  • @sports4life85 are you aware that Jim Joyce is the one who made the bad call? The pitcher is Armando Galarraga...

  • @Kiksaruti I know i made a mistake but so did you, I was talking about jim leyland not armando galaraga, Dumbass

  • @sports4life85 How am I the dumbass, exactly? You know it was jus a mistake, no biggie.

  • @sports4life85 I think you mean Jim Leyland

  • @plazmazzajac34 yea sorry

  • @sports4life85 jim joyce was the umpire, so who was he talking to? haha you said it wrong

  • @JEBvideos yer right im getting alot of crap for that

  • Well at least now Galarraga is the only pitcher to pitch 9 and 1/3 innings perfectly

  • @bravesf109 Not true. Harvey Haddix pitched 12 innings of perfect ball before blowing it in the 13th inning in 1959.. (He pitched for the Pirates)

  • @bravesf109 I bet someone has before in a 0-0 game

  • @bravesf109 28 up, 28 down! Hey, did you know they (Joyce and Gallaraga) co-wrote a book about that game? I can't remember what it's called. I saw it at Barnes and Noble this afternoon.

  • @bravesf109 9 and 2/3

  • @jumpthenoob 8 2/3

  • @Dunderhead36 how? its the 9th inning, 2 outs?

  • @jumpthenoob he played the first 8 innings perfectly, and 2/3 of the 9th inning....that's 8 and 2/3

  • @Dunderhead36 ur an idiot.... the first inning is 1, 2nd is two, 3 is 3, 4 is 4, 5 is 5 6 is 6 7 is 7 8 is 8 and 9 is 9.... stop over thinking it

  • @jumpthenoob if u do the math right, it is 8 and 2/3 innings played well, they aren't pitching a 10th inning, so it can't be over 9.

  • @Dunderhead36 Bro you're right they just don't understand how to count the innings

  • @jumpthenoob Lol, troll.

  • @bravesf109 9 and 2/3 innings

  • @bravesf109 it was 9 and 2/3 inning and mike mussina did it twice

  • @bravesf109 due there were 2 outs not 1

  • @bravesf109 curt schilling

  • @Wakefield01880 curt schilling pitched 8 2/3 innings of perfect game. Im saying Galarraga pitched all 9 innings perfectly plus 1 extra out..good try though

  • @bravesf109 9 2/3

  • Who cares if the ump apologizes change the stat sheet and give him the perfect game.

  • I think it should be mandatory that all umpires take a eye test annually. If they dont pass, the get a prescription for some new contacts, or glasses. Its as simple as that

  • @GoatCheese1020 it has nothing to do with glasses.... he just got caught up in the moment

  • Saw him go to the stretch for the first time all game from a blown call, ouch.

  • Home plate umpire can't watch the reaction Jim was about to get.

  • i fucking hate that asshole jim joyce. I hope his family pays dividends

  • i would kill myself

  • Joyce apoligized though

  • 28 up 28 down

  • Umpires make mistakes, and Joyce being a veteran, he knew better but just got caught up in the moment apparently. As for instant replay, should absolutely not be brought into this. Baseball is one of the oldest sports around and doesn't need that getting in the way of this great game. The game has been around for a long time with human errors, and i think it should continue this way

  • They need instant replay in baseball for plays like this. The NFL has instant replay perfectly and MLB should follow. And when a team challenges, that should name it "I want to Jim Joyce that play" Jim Joyce is a joke...he knew he was safe, just another stupid call by a ref or umpire, but in this case in fucked up a perfect game.

  • @Lights0ut1109 So you think that the best umpire in the majors is a joke?

  • in my oppinion i think this all could have been avoided if the 2nd baseman fielded the ball instead of cabrera i think the play wouldnt have been as close which would have made it easier to make the out call.

  • well he didnt get the perfect game nor the no hitter but verlander made up for it yesterday may 7th 2011 and was a strike away from making it perfect but his 2nd no hitter makes it special neways.

  • gay empire ur a horrible person and no one likes u and no one ever will because of this

  • this was on my birthday thats horrible

  • CALM DOWN.... Jim joyce is an amazing umpire, how would you feel if you made a mistake and 40,000 people were booing you and calling you names?!? Yes we all kno he made a mistake and just get over it.

  • @MrEminemLyrics9 Not to mention the millions of people tuned in after ESPN got the live feed. I forgave Jim Joyce a long time ago, mainly because he manned up and admitted his mistake and you could tell how bad he genuinely felt. Now if it was someone like Joe West on the other hand...well I'll just leave it there.

  • worst game

  • worst game

  • i remember were i was wen this happened.me and my cuz were in pittsburgh in a rain delay game with the cumbs and it came on the screen and i said watch this guy get a hit and he did

  • if i was the runner i woulda struck out on purpose or fell on purpose if i hit it

  • he was clearly out. nothing to see here.

  • let the second baseman take that Cabera

  • Jim Joyce might have got caught in the moment and accidently called him safe, yes Galleraga did have the Perfect game so what else is there to say? Don't yell at Jim Joyce.

  • im tired of people defending jim joyce and saying the lack of instant replay. i can't believe people are stupid. the man was literally front of first base and clearly it was a out. Still a perfect game for the tigers.

  • @GeneralACtheThird Yea he was wrong, but he's still a GREAT Umpire, he just made a horrible call. Every human being on earth has or will make a horrible decision in their lifetime, most of us make multiple horrible decisions.

  • fukin gringos, dont respect venezuelans

  • There were so many perfect games and no-hitters last year it's tough to remember them all. Ten years from now it'll be tough to remember Ubaldo's or Dallas Braden's (unless you live in that team's town), and we might forget Halladay's if he wasn't a legend-in-the-making.

But I don't think any baseball fan will forget this. We'll remember the name, the team, the umpire, and everything about it. It might not be in the books, but it's hard to find someone who says he didn't get the job done.

  • People it was a close play, but I thought he was out.

  • even the indians player donald had his hands on his head like WTF!?!?!?!?

  • everybody calls it a "near perfect game"

    stop calling it that

start calling it a PERFECT GAME because that is what it was

it would be a near perfect game if the runner was actually safe

    but he was out

so call it a PERFECT GAME

  • OK he got it wrong and yeah, it cost Galarraga a PG, really tough way to blow a call. It got even more highlights cuz it was what would have been the last call of the game. But it was only one of 27 putouts that game. If it had happened in the second inning, no one would have said a word.

  • its pretty much an unwritten rule to give the guy a perfect game in the last out of a bang-bang play...

  • this clip is the perfect angle to see Miguel Cabrera move out of position, not knowing where his 2nd baseman is playing, to turn a routine putout into a close play where, yes, Jim Joyce admittedly got the call wrong

  • Nobody felt worse about this then Jim Joyce. He admitted that he blew the call and in his interviews he was almost crying about it. But I don't think they should of over turned the call. If they had over turned the call, the moment would have already been gone. The excitement that Galarraga would of had at that moment would of been gone. The heat of the moment would of been gone and if they had over turned the call it would not have been as special for him.

  • @ldraheim tits

  • @ldraheim That and Instant replay just isn't baseball. Baseball is already a slower paced game (It's still my fav sport don't freak on me lol) can you imagine stopping a game to look over a replay?

  • Why Jim Joyce is still an umpire is beyond me. Why Bud Selig, the biggest moron on the face of the earth, is still the Commissioner of the MLB is also beyond me. They have monkeys running baseball today.

  • @GNHawkBA23 So you think that Joyce shouldn't be an umpire because of one bad call? Trust me, it wasnt the worst call in the world! Umpires get these calls wrong all the time but now you seem to be basing Jim Joyce's whole career on this call?

  • The thing I don't get is: Even if Joyce called the runner out, and replays later showed he was safe, no one really cares.

  • @benetredwings2015 Actually the replay showed that he was out...

  • Comment removed

  • i bet everyone in that stadium had both hands on their head in shock

  • Give credit to Armando Galarraga for being very professional about this...Jim Joyce we all make mistakes, and it's okay...Selig should have overturned the decision, and made it a perfect game...Yes, instant replay is needed, they use it for home runs, why not expand it?

  • I understand the pitcher and the ump are at mutual respect and I think that speaks volumes about both of them as men. As far as I'm concerned the only one that came out of this stinking of filth was Bud Selig. He should have changed the ruling and given the kid his perfect game. Now we'll have to wait another 100+ years for another one.

  • @RichieEastside I feel like this is what separates baseball from other sports. This game will go down in history despite not being a perfect, it will be the almost perfect. And both the ump and the ref acted like baseballers afterwards. The game is imperfect, calls are subjective and baseball is often full of luck good and bad.

  • I don't give a shit how tactful Armando was or how great of an umpire Joyce is - he should have been fired and Selig's dumb ass should have overturned the call. Then I remembered - Selig IS the Commish still. Fucking useless moron.

  • its funny that white people always complain about the race card but this racist umpire brought the race card with this bad call and robbery.

  • racist umpire. couldnt stand to see a hispanic make history.

  • @hunab3425 that's so true because they obviously get racist umpires in major league baseball to discriminate against hispanics.... considering how many non-white players there are, and they get, in mlb. The only person who is racist is you. I agree that call was terrible, but if you think it was an act of racism then you are an idiot.

  • @xXxJFrostyxXx this was so blatantly racist call on the part of the KKK umpire. i suppose u gonna tell me now that your stupid ass is not a racist and that u voted for Obama and gee let me guess some of your best friends are black. yeah its well known when people say they are being discriminated by white people , white people ALWAY DISAGREE. ALWAYs.

  • @hunab3425 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA a KKK umpire who would've guessed. and no i didnt vote for obama, and i was right to because he is a terrible president. srsly the ONLY reason he's president is because he is quote un quote *black*. and no im not a freaking KKK member you racist. just because somebody's white doesnt mean they're in the KKK. this is the 21st century for crying out loud

  • @hunab3425 Idiots: providing entertainment for people with half a brain for centuries.

  • Jim Joyce NOOO!

  • @heyduck316 lol

  • i understand the jim joyce is a great ref, and people make mistakes, but on the 27th out of a perfect game if its EVEN CLOSE you call the guy out, i mean EVEN CLOSE

  • @Kirch21x umpire

  • @LombardiTrophy45 wtf ever

  • @Kirch21x Well when people refer to umpires as "refs" it makes it sound like they know nothing about baseball.

  • @LombardiTrophy45 lol well sorry its still basketbal season! haha

  • I have Detroit Tiger blood.

  • its ok baseball. i still love you.

  • And I thought soccer had bad refs.......

  • To be an optimist, it's a 28-out perfect game where the 27th batter was out by a step.
