Agh that melanoma is gross. But I was worried about the Vit D thing too, and turns out its a big myth though that you need to bake yourself for hours I read in the paper we only need 10-15 minutes of sun a day to get enough Vitamin D.

no shit sherlock. 5-10 minutes of sun a day is enough doses of Vit D. also if you want more vit D, you can always buy the medicines instead of exposing yourself to cancer like that. Your way of thinking is the reason why 2 out of 3 australian gets skin cancer.

yeah, unless your a vampire, people can easily handle being in the sun for an hour, my father would be the perfect example as he used to mow lawns in the sun... all day, every day, and guess what, amazingly no sign of cancer at all ever, why because humans have the ability to get vit d, cancer prevention vitamin NATURALLY through the sun instead of the typical lets get everything artificially and stay inside and be white pale vampire people, and stop being so ignorant and rude, be civilised

It might be the worst 'rap' you have ever heard, it might even be 'gross', but the message is serious, i recently had a skin cancer cut out of the left side of my neck, after the operation i was left with 5 stitches. I was lucky because the cancer was localized, there is other types skin cancers that spread out through your body via your blood stream. Wearing a decent hat and shirt is a good start for preventing this.
