  • nice

  • @2kargarage1 Thanks :o)

  • ...Lovin the setup you got there. the idea of having the little heni can is pretty good :)...quick question though...how is the choke hazard stove compared to the bongo CAB?

  • @LeRock0021Thanks :o) In my experience there pretty much the same. Around 10 to 12 minutes for 2 cups

  • Very cool except for the aluminum can. I will try to find a stainless cooking pot my self but other than that I love it. Also if you put the can bottom on top instead of a base you could set a pan on there. Thanks for the post.

  • Thanks man! The heini cans are perfest for this because it helps to keep the kit light. Stainless are not as light normally. And heini and fosters cans are safe to boil water in no matter what others say! Not sure what you mean on the last comment ?

  • You set the can lid on the table and put your burner on top of it. If you put the lid on top of the wire thing you set your can in you would have more surface area to put a pan on or a bigger can.

  • The stove I'm using is called a center burner or top jet stove which is designed for taller narrow pots! To use a big pot or a pan you need to use a open top side jet burner like the stove you see in the Mini Monster vid! Or the Banana Boat alcy stove vid...Check it :o)

  • The primer pan or can bottom as you're calling it is for priming the stove :o)

  • can bottom corn can.

  • Yeah , the primer pan is used for the top jet popcan stove you see in the vid. but the choke hazard which is a cab(compact alcohol burner) would not be efficient for a big stainless pot or pan over 2 cup capacity so I use it mainly with this Heini pot or my KKK! Krazy Kooking Kit...hehe!

  • Looking good, man! I have a similar set-up for my day-pack. For longer trips/multiple people I like using a 4 cup plastic container for the bottom with the 24oz. heiny pot, but that's usually if I have to worry about my wife as well as myself. Great to see more and more people doing this kinda stuff. As far as your faster boil with your stove, it could be more efficient combustion from getting more oxygen in the mix. Just a theory though. 5*! Keep 'em coming! Peace.

  • Thanks man! Yeah built 2 of them actually, One for the wife of course...hehe! But I've been playin' around with a bunch of stoves/pots that do hold more water as well.

They're just fun to build so why not hey...haha! Peace Bro :o{)

  • Never seen this stove before! Great review Rich ! Keep on bringing them on those vids friend :) 5/5

  • Thanks buddy. Something lite for all bushcrafters as well... alows to carry more tools...hehe "o{)

  • That was a very cool demo. We are also addicted to these little stove projects. Now I want to build this one!

  • Thanks man! If you build one I would also like to see a vid. :o)

  • Ha! Choke hazard. I was grinning on that one. Hey, watching vids on these mini stoves wants me to venture into making one myself. I doubt I would use it in the field though but ya never know. I'm not an ultra lite hiker. What was the fuel? I see many guys use HEET.

  • Haha! ...I'm not particularly an ultra lite guy myself. But I find them interesting and fun to build. Kinda turned into an addict...hehe! I use methyl hydrate. Not sure if it will catch on! It's 99.9% pure alcohol which I think is better than heet and especially denatured alcohol. According to tinny denatured is kinda' crappy as there is no consistency in the mix. I can't buy heet here just normal gas line antifreeze..but why? I was a machinist too. Man, the things I could do with a lathe ;o)

  • Nice stove I use a cat can stove I made real efficient boils fast and less parts to loose lol. I have used my canister stove once.

  • Thanks...not sure how much I'll use the choke. It is a bit of a pain but still knda' kool. Can't go wrong for just $12 :o)

  • nice. clever and compact!

  • Thankyou :o)

  • Good stuff.

  • Thanks :o)

  • Thanks buddy :o)

Mmmm...Missle...haha! Thought I'd see what all the hype was over Minibull stoves. I think I'm a addict...haha :o)
