i just finished playing this mission on my 360 and i have to say, i kinda like thanes voice better here, i think it would be better though if they had kinda mixed the two together. i like the tone this voice has but its a little too high, which is where the deepness of the other voice would come in. thats just my opinion
Apparently Nassana is voiced by Grey DeLisle. No wonder games are getting so expensive to make, people like Carrie-Ann Moss and Michael Dorn are being hired even for bit-parts.

@123italiano321 No, sadly you don't. But you are able to replay the game with your current character via the 'Import ME2 Character' option that appears on the menu after you've beaten the game. You lose all your paragon/renegade points, upgrades, weapons, squadmates etc but you do keep your current character's class.
So...there's not much point in a replay option. But don't delete your characters, you can import them into Mass Effect 3 (Yes, it's happening).

Main reason why I play this type of game and not jrpgs.
Jrpgs contain loads of grinding normaly, and while FF13 for example takes 60 hours, mass effect takes around what? a day? depending on your difficulty.
Lol anyone here can tell a jrpg male from female, because I can't, they might look like star wars character dude but at least they don't look like homosexual kids, this game is a leading innovation, something your jrpgs haven't reached yet besides your stupid turn based moves, mass effect 2 has something better anticipating what the character says and reactes something that can change the whole storyline for you....it's all the same with ff...Jesus fuck they have like 16 titles
@riddlebrandan Yes. I played them directly after another and I can say that Mass Effect 2 is better than Mass Efect in all ways (though I kind of missed not having to care about amunition in the first one).
@crimsonwolf50 He didn't kill Liara, that's Nassana Dantius, who owns the tower in the video. In ME1, Dantius gives you a side mission to kill her sister.
The characters in this game are so fleshed out, literally all of them..but Thane, Thane is special. The voice actor and dialogue he has is simply amazing.
I did two playthroughs, both times thane died by being impaled by that debris and stuff...He was loyal, my femsheps romance intrest, and i did most of his upgrades, any tips for my third playthrough? :3
@slycooper513 You have to also upgrade the Normandy. If you don't 3-4 people can die on your way to the suicide mission. Get those and he should be fine.
@Streetwalkeriain he probably died for you because he wasn't loyal, you assigned him to the wrong task or both. If half your squad died you musn't have done all the loyalty missions.
Thane's voice sounds different in this. Maybe it's just that it was recorded with ambient noise in the background but it sounds a bit like a different actor.
Thane doesn't feel guilt or regret about his kills, as said by him himself, but prays for them and asks penance as per his religious beliefs, I would clarify in greater detail some other things but they would be spoilerific

Thane kills with a sniper rifle on a very regular basis, as is evident thru conversations with him AND his skill in the use of such, also up-close and personal assassins are not as rare as you said, even in Mass Effect, tho I have no evidence of such, its common sense, Assassins are killers, there main goal is to not get caught, and get the job done, doesn't matter how they die as long as they do and the assassin isn't caught
Your totally right. But remember. This video was old. Right after E3 09. Everybody even most of the websites said the same thing about Thane. It's normal for a game company to change things before the release. Like Bioshock 2 for example. The Big Sister was ment to be the main villain. Instead they made more BS & they be came common bosses.

All of that is so out of the way that all it looks like is a shooting game, and that's all it ever will be. They took a shooting game in it, threw in EXP and Skillpoints, and decided they made an RPG. I'm still not convinced it's an RPG. To me, it's a sci-fi looking shooting game. No elements of an RPG shine through, which means it fails at being an RPG.
I would hardly call it a shooting game- maybe 30% of the game is spent actually fighting. I would place it in a mixed genre like Drama/RPG/Action because of the huge amount of time you spend building relationships with the crew and how the most important part of the game in relation with the story is dialogue choice. It may not share a lot of characteristics of RPGs, but it is barely a shooter.

That's weird, because everything about this game comes out to me as a shooter...because it is. There may be drama in it, but RPG? If building relationships is an RPG element, then Heavy Rain is the greatest RPG of all time...and it's not an RPG.
I said that I might not call it an RPG, but have you played it? So little of this game is actually built around the combat... it's your opinion, classify it how you want.. I just think that with such an epic storyline and so little combat (compared to dramatic story development), calling it a shooter(generally taken to be a lowly title among games) doesn't do the it justice. However, I understand that not everybody can enjoy it or that you might very well like shooters:P
The game has all the elements i consider to be in RPG, as I said - exploration, experience, many skills and skill points, building your reputation, doing quests how and when you like, getting new gear and customizing it, choosing a class, side quests and main quests, deep storyline and i could go on and on...
It's RPG, just instead of sword and magic, there is guns and biotics...
@ogthegreat No. Not true. There is no exploration. This fame is linear. There is NO customization AT ALL. You can't loot anyone, you can't buy new armor or anything.
emm - you can explore planets for new missions and resources. There is armor customization, you can customize, color, graphics, you can change armor parts(!) You CAN (!) buy new armor parts and download new armor and weapons from cerberus network.....And the about linear frame - You can choose which team member missions to do first and which not to do at all....only linear thing is main mission (well duh) and new member mission unlocks, when main mission progresses..
@TheDeathOfChaos character and story background customization. dialogue trees and interaction with characters unlike just pressing the X button to talk. relationship building, and decision making that affects parts of the storyline? I'd call it an RGP. :P

Look, if I'm going to play an RPG, I'm not going to play one with a cast of cloned Star Wars characters. I'd rather play something with a little more imagination and better gaming experience. Mass Effect characters are not clones of star wars. Just because they are both sci fi doesn't mean they are the same idiot. My first comment was basically saying that I've looked at so many different things about Mass Effect, and I can't get into it. Then people started back lashing at me. This game has the one of the best stories,visually appealing, combat is on par with Gears and Uncharted, and has the deepest characters that u can actually talk to and interact with! Word.

Mass Effect on the other hand has amazing visuals, exciting REAL TIME gameplay that requires some level of SKILL and THINKING. And its characters are deep and believable with a story that is better than most movies.
@Eregost2 The turn based system you put down earlier requires more skill than aiming and shooting, lol. For the most part, turn based game play involves knowing what your enemy is going to do next and countering that before they do it. And if I want awesome visuals and a game better than most movies, I've got Heavy Rain, God of War III, and Uncharted 2. As for believable characters, sometimes it's best to have an unbelievable character is great. Kratos is unbelievable, but he's badass!

@Eregost2 Not my fault the 360 is filled with almost nothing but first person shooter games. No type of innovation when it comes to an FPS. If I were a fanboy, I would hate all games that are on the 360 just because they are. I would play Guilty Gear 2, Infinite Undiscovery, and The Last Remnant are pretty cool looking games, but 3 games aren't gonna make me buy a brand new system. All the other good games on the 360 were ported to the PS3 exclusively as a special edition and remastered.

@rkslayer589 I've seen all I need to see of it to know I don't like it. And I've played PS1 and SNES games with way better story than it. Final Fantasy VII has so much interesting story, that some of it you can find out on accident. Chrono Trigger was an SNES game and it had like 12 endings or something like that, amazing game. I would play an SNES or a PS1 game over ME1 or ME2, because the quality of FF7 and CT are amazing and will always live on. ME is bland to me and isn't even interesting.

@AceOfCups Watching this video was one of my many attempts to actually like the game, but everytime I see the footage, it's just stupid. Battling as a 3rd person shooter can hardly be considered an RPG, let alone anything unique. I simply commented and then replied to other peoples comments.

@xBrunTechx There ws a grain filter, I was given the choice to switch it off. No game should even have a grain filter to even have the choice to turn off in the first place. It's just terrible to me that a third person shooter gets handed 'stats' and it's automatically an RPG... it won best RPG because of all the lazy twitch gamers out there that love how the game micromanages all of your decisions for character development; well, gives you the choice, but I'm sure most got lazy and switched it.

@thunderpeeweea Because, you cared to read the first comment I posted over a year ago, I tried at one point to like the game, but the fans had over hyped it so much that it wasn't anything like it was supposed to be. When I first watched it, I wanted to see how this game was, how it played, what it was about, and what I discovered was a pretty generic feeling game that felt no more common than an average 3rd person shooter with RPG elements buried so far underneath that it was useless as an RPG.

Thane kills with a sniper rifle on a very regular basis, as is evident thru conversations with him AND his skill in the use of such, also up-close and personal assassins are not as rare as you said, even in Mass Effect, tho I have no evidence of such, its common sense, Assassins are killers, there main goal is to not get caught, and get the job done, doesn't matter how they die as long as they do and the assassin isn't caught

It's normal for a game company to change things before the release. Like Bioshock 2 for example. The Big Sister was ment to be the main villain. All of that is so out of the way that all it looks like is a shooting game, and that's all it ever will be. They took a shooting game in it, threw in EXP and Skillpoints, and decided they made an RPG. I'm still not convinced it's an RPG. To me, it's a sci-fi looking shooting game. No elements of an RPG shine through, which means it fails at being an RPG.

I would hardly call it a shooting game- maybe 30% of the game is spent actually fighting. I would place it in a mixed genre like Drama/RPG/Action because of the huge amount of time you spend building relationships with the crew and how the most important part of the game in relation with the story is dialogue choice. It may not share a lot of characteristics of RPGs, but it is barely a shooter.

I said that I might not call it an RPG, but have you played it? So little of this game is actually built around the combat... it's your opinion, classify it how you want.. I just think that with such an epic storyline and so little combat (compared to dramatic story development), calling it a shooter(generally taken to be a lowly title among games) doesn't do the it justice. However, I understand that not everybody can enjoy it or that you might very well like shooters:P

emm - you can explore planets for new missions and resources. There is armor customization, you can customize, color, graphics, you can change armor parts(!) You CAN (!) buy new armor parts and download new armor and weapons from cerberus network.....And the about linear frame - You can choose which team member missions to do first and which not to do at all....only linear thing is main mission (well duh) and new member mission unlocks, when main mission progresses..

Final Fantasy VII has so much interesting story, that some of it you can find out on accident. Chrono Trigger was an SNES game and it had like 12 endings or something like that, amazing game. I would play an SNES or a PS1 game over ME1 or ME2, because the quality of FF7 and CT are amazing and will always live on. ME is bland to me and isn't even interesting.

@xBrunTechx There ws a grain filter, I was given the choice to switch it off. No game should even have a grain filter to even have the choice to turn off in the first place. It's just terrible to me that a third person shooter gets handed 'stats' and it's automatically an RPG... it won best RPG because of all the lazy twitch gamers out there that love how the game micromanages all of your decisions for character development; well, gives you the choice, but I'm sure most got lazy and switched it.

@Wiytithst I have no idea what you meant trying to insult me, lol. You just described Mass Effect when saying "Killing shit for XP and looting equipment does NOT equal rpg" lol. Also, if my grandmother was a lesbian, there would have been no need for an abortion because she would have been a lesbian. Also, if that were so, at least I wouldn't have made the mistake of giving a simple opinion over a year ago, for some reason fans of this game get butt hurt when someone else doesn't like it.

@thunderpeeweea Because, you cared to read the first comment I posted over a year ago, I tried at one point to like the game, but the fans had over hyped it so much that it wasn't anything like it was supposed to be. When I first watched it, I wanted to see how this game was, how it played, what it was about, and what I discovered was a pretty generic feeling game that felt no more common than an average 3rd person shooter with RPG elements buried so far underneath that it was useless as an RPG.
