I agree,nothing better than a well trained pilot and both the US and India are fortunate that their pilots get lots of flight hours. Even in Nam a WWII prop plane took out a mig 19. It took pilot skill to do that.
But, also in Cope India, things were a bit different. No BVR kills allowed, F15's were outnumbered, no AWACS, plus the inexperience factor that you menion of the US pilots. At Red Flag, it was clear at BVR the Indians committed frat and in dogfights 1v1 the F15's took it to them.
If you look at the conditions the F15's had to fight under in India it is clear which opponent the US was simulating, Pakistan. Pakistan has limited BVR ability, depend a lot on dogfighting skills, and have no AWACS. That's why it's called a DACT exercise.

I think it was the EF-111 that was used to jam the radar sites and SAMS, then the Strike Eagles took them out. Iraq's air defense system was advanced, but very centralized. Once disruption in the chain of command occured, and Iraqi Air Force headquarters were hit, the rout was on.

2)the maintainence of US planes is more expensive and difficult, Russian planes are known to be rugged and require low maintenance.

and also drones don't fly over 16000 ft so please even short range s200 can take care of these drones. while ur drones r detected russian air force will know everything and before u launch ur air attack. russians will intercept with there su37/35 navy version. russia has good air defence system.

Iraqi air defenses sucked dude! Defeating the Iraqi military is like a fight between a strong athletic man against a middle aged drunk! Second, your fictitious scenario of some US lead air attack by sending in "hundreds of drones" is so laughable! Do you know what integrated air defense means? That makes your scenario a failure. Wild Weasels do not have the range to engage a system like the S300 or the S400. But these systems can see the WW much sooner. Remember 1st look, 1st shoot, 1st kill!

You obviously know nothing about the US tactics used in the 1st gulf war.Drones were used to great sucess simulating fighters. Other tactics were using F111E's to shut down SAMs so that F15E's could take them out.Add to this F117's that took out command centers so they couldn't communicate.And at the time of the first gulf war Iraq air defenses were very formidable. t the time S400's weren't around.However,the US has an allie w/Greece and they have the S300.I'm sure we learned a lot from them

Most of Iraq's equipment was outdated. I mean, come on...Scud missiles? They didn't have an integrated defense infrastructure, and that's why they were easy to put in a state of disarray. Also their combat tactics were still from the WWII era. No, the US lead coalition beat a NOBODY. You're overstating the West's military capabilities by comparing apples to oranges.

Iraq spent billions on Russia air defenses. I think it was the EF-111 that was used to jam the radar sites and SAMS, then the Strike Eagles took them out. Iraq's air defense system was advanced, but very centralized. Once disruption in the chain of command occured, and Iraqi Air Force headquarters were hit, the rout was on.
