  • I only heard this song for the first time recently and just love it. The video is great, just as I imagine angie - excellent job.

  • i love this song.makes me smile

  • WAY cool! Just as I imagined it too! Great job!

  • Only Sabbath & zep could get on the radio back then with a subject such as insanity & witchcraft, But Helen pulled off a taboo, but cool song here..

  • used to listen to this song on my radio up to my ear on the way home from school showing my years

  • loved this song and like this video! great job!

  • Maybe shes crazy... or maybe shes got it made.

  • Wow Angie is one COOL girl... Fab song and Video..x

  • Amazing, great video!

  • bravo!!!

  • its a beautiful creative work. i enjoyed it.

  • Excellent; just as i have always imagined.

  • Her Dad looks whacked/ stoned!

  • Love this video and the song, no matter how many times it is played. The song sure brings back fond memories of happier, better times in both my life and America.

  • "A little touched in the _______ ?" what?

  • @BiggerThinking1 "touched" means slightly unbalanced mentally.

  • @spideraxis yeah i know that - my comment had a big empty space at the end of the quote "_____" - ie my question was why does she leave a blank in the lyric - you cant end a sentence with "the" under normal grammatical rules.

  • @BiggerThinking1 Listen to the lyrics...they are "You're a little touched, don't you know, Angie Baby". The line doesn't end in "the".

  • @spideraxis ok i must be half-deaf LOL

  • 70's - Maybe she did too much acid! Knew some of my contemporaries who did.

  • One of Reddy's crazy ladies. Good song--told a story, has a melody, and has a good beat--unlike everything written today.

  • @windstorm1000 You hit the nail on the head.

  • this is still aclassic, thanx morris.. the song timothy by rupert homes put a cartoon to that please

  • i dont get it O.o?

  • the close ups are a little creepy. not sure if you meant them to be since she might be crazy

  • nice one i sing it al th time on uhm..

    kareoke :)

  • Excellent..I think that you have the point, believe me there are many that don't. Thanks Morrismovies... Great stuff

  • Where's that crazy-ass cartoon that was made to go with this song?

  • Keep in mind when this song came out , In the 70s it was anything goes , but the music was so good , Where did the talent go , Where are the James Taylors, Carly Simmons , Seals and Crofts? They could do this stuff and compete with Zep , Deep purple and Foghat , We are hurt puppies nowdays , I pity todays Generation that missed this , they missed the best , I didn't , I was there

  • @vegasshowgirlshoes So was I Yeah they missed the best, but I have A 7 year old grand-daughter who can sing a lot of the lyrics of the music we love...so there is hope

    Love and peace

    Del

  • ok, to me, not a ghost story, but instead... one of 2 possibilities... a) she actually killed him, or b) she fabricated the boy in her mind and also the headliine in the paper's, like, thinkin she's got this secret... ?? what do you think?

  • ''well, maybe''

  • I too have always liked this song, you really captured it, just as I have always pictured it in my head. Great job.

  • I like the video. Good job.

  • This is a horrible representation of this song. HORRID.

  • @73Tigerlily2011 so, what's your take?

  • @73Tigerlily2011 If you think it's Horrid..I think maybe you didn't get it to start with...Sorry

  • LOL! OMG, that was amazing, I loved it! You did a really great job. Were those avi's from SL or something else?

  • SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video - just as I imagined this song too. So creepy!

  • this video is killer so is the song

  • I was looking for the old animated version of this...but this is an video!!

  • YOU NAILED IT BRAVO

  • I think that song is about a young girl who has the ability to make boys disappear. But no one will question her because people think she is "crazy" But as Helen Reddy sings" living in a world of make believe... well maybe."

  • nice work.

  • This is so great, the song is already creepy but this compliments it without taking away from the song. Fantastic. I still wonder what other people make of the ending. Perhaps this is a song that doesn't make sense, but the video seems to suggest that she killed him. Anyway, I loved this.

  • EXCELLENT WORK!

  • nicely done....

  • I remember feeling like Angie when I was a teenager. No True friends and living in my own little world ,with Imaginary boyfriends. Never a story to be made fun of when you feel so alone. I'm 54 now, but know more bout depression and mental health.

  • Very good job.

  • Your video is Wicked Cool...Prop's 2 U

  • love this version showed my daughter of 30 she like it too

  • FANTASTIC JOB!!! Your interpretation is exactly as I always saw the song. Her smile when she welcomes the boy into the house absolutely gave me chills! If I could give 10 thumbs up, I would!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your vision.

  • The whole concept is progressive for the time.

    Bring back the 70s ,

We have fallen from this massive talent to the likes of gaga and madonna?

What on earth are we doing ?

  • @vegasshowgirlshoes You know, the 70s wasn't full of fabulous music - there was a hell of a lot of crap around back then too, just like now. Why do people keep writing this on the comment section of old songs? I lived through the 70s & I can assure you that there was just as much shitty music back then as there is now, & just as much good stuff out there then as now - if you bother to look for it.

  • @darkallegiance666 What were the crappy songs back in the 70s? Disco Duck and You Light Up My Life? And I'm sorry there still appears to be a stronger crap-to-good ratio of songs today than back then.

  • I love the story in this song.

It is just so inetresting, imagining what would happen. It's more like a book than a song. :)

  • angie is fine

  • i love this song too. crazy i know, but i learnt all the words to this song when i was fourteen. so long ago.... i wonder why they don't make songs like this today.

  • SERIOUSLY LOVED THIS!!!!

AMAZING! Def what I thought of the song!

  • Very nice....I love the 70's attire ......great song that doesn't get much air play on oldies stations

  • Wonderful!! Thank you!

  • Whe I first heard this song, without the benefit of animation or graphics, I imagined Angie was a neighborhood witch. This was before Charmed and the like they have now. Just wanting to fit in.

  • I love what you have done with this song, which I remember very strongly from my youth. This sure is different than listening to it on a.m. radio....waiting for it to come on, and when it did, listening to it very closely. I identified with Angie, because I, too, listened to the radio and played "make believe" with the songs presented to me. I always thought Angie destroyed the boy with evil on his mind. You animation is appropriate and I love this very much, wow! Thank you.

  • i always found this song spooky as hell haha thanks for bringing back the memories :)

  • very clever

  • beautiful....

  • I thought it was about a girl getting raped?

  • @parks4me It's not clear if the "evil on his mind" meant rape, statutory rape or just sex with a crazy woman. I've always assumed she somehow turned the tables on him and either killed or imprisoned him. The story would have made a great "creepout" movie, especially if it implied necrophilia.

PS: They did something like this video on the Carol Burnett Show, but the "neighbor boy" was 40-something Harvey Corman.

  • @lrd9999 I remember seeing an animated vid for this on some TV special decades ago. Angie was basically a girl with a radio for her head (with a face). She eats/swallows the guy.

  • I love how this is the type of song that you can break apart and analyze :) I personally like your interpretation of the song with this video, and think it captured the song really well.

  • What a marvelous job that you did with this! You must have put a lot of time and talent into this, Thanks for doing so. It was great!

  • Loved it. Excellent job! :-)

  • You did a great job on the video.

Someone should make a film on the song & maybe Britney Spears could play the part of Angie.

A speical thank you to my friend Alan O'Day who wrote the song.

  • Great, great job! Do Ruby Red Dress next!

  • excellent song,I think angie was a man eater, a nymphomaniac!she hid her lovers in her closet til she killed one of them, the one who disappeared!

  • impessive, liked the skull by the tree thanx

  • ain't it good to be crazy... no one asks questions... love this song....

  • This song should have been made into a Twilight Zone episode (or even x-files!) Nice job. =)

  • Very well done

  • As for the song... Had forgotten it. Listening now again after all these years takes me back and reminds me of just how big a pop song this was back when I was 15.

  • Great work, loved watching it.

  • This was just sublime! Great job with the video!

  • a whole story in a song love it, great interpretation

  • Totally awsome video I love this song and can totally relate{scary I suppose}

  • Is this sims?

  • it's simple:

Angie's on drugs, she gets the neighbor kid hooked; he OD's; she keeps doing drugs, living in denial until she OD's too

  • @wakygee

Brilliant hypothesis and I like it, complete bollocks of course. Funny though!.

  • all of a sudden i'm a kid listening to my aunt janices radio and yes it was a bit spooky mindpastah

  • all of a sudden i'm a kid listening to my aunt janices radio

  • Not bad!

  • Great song and I love your vids!

  • I remember this song when I was a kid. I found it spooky, but liked it!

  • I really like the video. I bought this record and played it a lot, my mom threw it away. Thanks for the video. I still love the song. I'll include the video with it now.

  • This is music before that autotune crap came along and created an army of singing androids

  • I have always loved this song, I sang it for my entertainment badge when I was in the girl guides lol. Thanks for the video to it, it really came alive for me.

  • Very impressive! The only other time I saw this song "realized" was on an episode of the old Carol Burnett show. Helen Reddy was the musical guest and she sang the song while the cast re-enacted it in a "dream box" beside Helen's head while she sang it.

  • I like mainstream music such as Lady gaga, and I am only 14. But I LOVE this type of music so people shouldn't say kids don't appreciate the classics.

  • OHHH GOSH... WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB HERE!!!

  • this song reminds me of the classic old novel '' somebody come and play '' by clare mcnally read it. its a classic horror /mystery.ghost novel

  • WOW FANTASTIC, GREAT CHILDHOOD MEMORIES WITH THIS SONG, GREAT VIDEO MAN

  • SEND THIS TO HELEN REDDY SEE WHAT SHES SAYS ABOUT THIS VIDEO GOOD WORKE

  • Like the vid and the song its powerful and chilling. Is it just me but I feel sorry for the

kids today stuck with Lady Gaga etc.

  • Great job on the video! I was a teenager when this song was popular and many times I wanted to make an annoying boy "disappear" too. Your video does what I imagined every time I heard this song on MY radio.

  • this song is very freaky, still scares me. very original idea and this video shows i'm not the only one!

  • They look like the Sims. lol

  • ok, now i am afraid to go to sleep tonight

  • This song gave me chills when I was little, still does. Great video.

  • I love how they used Sims to make the video. But I remember seeing a video, but I think it was only made for a tv variety show when the song came out and they used real people. I still remember it.

  • This is how I used to picture this song. Good Job! Awesome...

  • Exactly how I would have seen Angie, great job!

  • This is great, this is just how I see it in my head when I hear this song! Good job!!!

  • "It's so nice to be insane; no-one asks you to explain". In my view, the greatest line ever written in a song.

  • I have always loved this song too!!! THANKS! ~JusMeAngie

  • Well done! It's too bad that this song came out before (most) artist were doing videos. I'm sure Helen Reddy would be proud of this!

I made it a favorite and gave it a "thumbs up!"

  • cool video

  • Just went through a major psychotic episode this song pretty much sums up what it generally feels like except her imagination was a lot nicer to her than mine was to me

  • I always liked this song. Thanks for the video.

    Michael

  • it's so nice to be insane, no one asks you to explain

  • Whoever wrote these lyrics is a genius, Helen's vocals totally bring them to life- great job on the video too- excellent I totally get it- LOVE it!

  • @whirlaway05 I feel the same way about the video, the song lyrics & the melody. Pure genius! :D

  • Great video!@!!!!

  • This song is about psychosis - Angie is "a little bit touched", sees things that aren't there. In her world of make believe the boy is imprisoned in the radio from which she can summon him when she's alone. In the real world ... that's what makes the song SO creepy... the boy has vanished without trace, but for Angie there is no real world. She's insane, no-one asks her to explain. If she says the boy exists, he does. He's become unreal to the world, but real to her. It's a ghost story.

  • @1234cottagedoor I think the neighbour who had evil on his mind intended to rape her and she killed him....he disappears and no-one thinks to ask the crazy girl. The 'well, maybe' at the end of the chorus is brilliant, 'maybe it's not a world of make believe' it's such a cleverly written song, and Helen's voice is perfect for it, both pure and haunting. Loving all the interpretations and good to see this song is so popular - I'm only 26 and I love it

  • @woolloomooloo11 I agree with you wooloomooloo, couldn't have said it better myself. Love this song but it is really terrifying. I think there was a video done of it before because I know I've seen it!

  • @1234cottagedoor Maybe it's about necrophilia. She killed him and visits him when she wants to. I know that's horrible, but it feels like it's in the song. Such a strange song - in a way, this seems like the weirdest song on earth, but ultimately I think it is a feminist song - he comes to rape her basically and she turns the table - shades of "Carrie".

  • @annib00 I was always assumed that she killed him and used her memories from that nigtht to "keep her satisfied" when she ummm fantisizes when she is alone at night.

  • I LOVE this game, and this song. You rock

  • Super Cool....well done!

  • Really nice job. The images fit the music and it just belongs lol

  • GREAT JOB!!!

  • who did this animation its trippy

  • Very good. I was worried the video would spoil what I have always imagined as I experienced this song. But the video brought my imagination to life. I'll be watching for more of your very interesting work.

    Shelmax

  • Helen Reddy was a great talent. Very underrated.

  • Great song and the video is absolutely excellent. :o)

  • HELEN REDDY SURE HAS A GREAT VOICE!!!!!

  • The "well maybe" is what clinches my love for this song.

  • One of my favorites of Helen Reddy's songs..I have the album & as a kid, whenever

I had the urge to play this song, I'd pictured it in my head what would be happening.

(Maybe that explains why I'm a writer)..I must say you came pretty close to how I

invision it. Thanks you did a great job! Peace be with you.

  • This song is the fifth best record made in 1974.

  • Great song & did an excellent job of putting video to it!! Thanks for sharing your work w/us...IT ROCKED!!!

  • Great job on the video! Nicely done it coincides with the song nearly perfectly!

  • Excellent song and video.

  • Good job. However I'm none the wiser how I see the story. Still cant figure it out!

  • What an AWESOME, AWESOME video to one of my all-time favorite hits from the 70's. That's for bringing this song to life on video.

  • helen reddy just fantastic

  • good video, very creepy!

  • Probably the best interpreration of this song that I have ever seen!

  • Loved this song as a kid, but couldn't make heads or tails out of it. Still can't. Who penned the lyrics? Rod Serling? This would've made a fantastic episode of "Night Gallery".

What would Carl Kolchak do about Angie?

  • @slmacph OMG. That's what I always thought too. As a kid, I'd always imagined the lyrics in a literal sense, so that just made the song that much more creepy. Like you said, like an episode of the "Twilight Zone" or "Night Gallery".

  • fantastic song ...thanks for posting

  • a lo-o-ong time ago somebody said that this song totally fit me...which is creepy,in a cool way.Maybe...

  • Nice song, good video

  • Nice song

  • This was great!!!!

  • Love the story behind it along with the question as to whether or not she's really insane

  • I love this!

  • this was freaking great! Why does MTV not play anymore music???

  • I totally agree with tazlynn1965. The animation and videography are very well crafted. In fact, as I watched this, I was thinking that I should learn how to do this. First chance I get, I'm taking classes on animation.

  • Excellent video....

  • DAMN GREAT JOB!!!

  • this is awesome! What a brilliant clip you've made!!!!

  • Excellent work.

  • hmmm== very nice

  • What a fantastic interpertation, Well Done!

  • love it!

  • Always a favourite song...brilliant video.

  • well done,love this song

  • Meg from the family guy ?

  • Heard this song at the local CBA supermarket and made a mental note of looking up "Angie Baby" on You Tube when back. Got it on my playlist now! Thanks for uploading.

  • Wow! The 70's were so inspiring for Women. What happened, commercial music has become smutty.

  • Absolutely fantastic!! You should be really proud of this. Well done! x

  • Wow, this is great! Excellent job. I love Angie under the cherry tree with all the hanging radios. I never pictured her so hot and buff though, LOL!

  • This is one of my most favorite songs and this is the best video ive seen

  • @summerstarsnana this is a great song, one of the best, but i think the video sucks.

  • superb

  • Wow, that video is amazing! :O

  • I came prepared to make a snarky comment. but this is really good.

  • What did she do with the body? I`ve been asking that question for 35 years. Love the song though!

  • @saltybutton they thought she was special having the meaning of mentaly challenged but instead of being ill she was something else and when he tried to rape her she traped him in her radio soul and all and made him her play thing when she wanted him call it magic i guess
