I've seen a video where there were like 12 pit bulls surounding a lion's cage, the lion was pacing back and fourth as the army of pits were barking. they let one pit bull slide in as it jump from behind the lion and took it down (this was a female lion). I was shocked to see this.

Rhodesian Ridgebacks were bred specifically to hunt down and kill lions. That being said a Pit is not a Ridgeback, but dogs have been bred for and have been known to kill lions. Could a Pit do it? I don't know.
But as the other poster said, the purpose of the video is to show the dogs excitement, not as to wether the dog could kill the lion or not.
