do you know if you can by a stand for the set? i got the Pro model, and im gonna be in a band soon, and i dont think a chair would make a good first impression, btw, thanks for the review, it convinced me to buy it
nice vid.. one thing when your playing with the toms... (i have this same drum set btw) your holding your sticks too tight.. loosen up a bit and they will keep on playing great!! keep on playin!
would it be a crazy concept to try to use a jack splitter and plug both pedals into the bass pedal jack since you said they were identical? BTW your review is the best of this product and i want to thank you so uhm yeah if u could reply that would be cool
Thanks man i appreciate it, but that sounds like something I might try. I am currently on the other side of the country so I can't test it out now but I could actually see that working. If you find an answer before me please let me know.
I could not tell you from hands on experience because I haven't played the yamaha set, however I researched before I purchased and this seemed like the better deal. I have had zero problems with my set and it has served as a great learning tool. I am sure the yamaha set is a tad bit better as it has a few more features (such as double bass capability), but this set is also packed with features that anyone will enjoy. Plus you can't beat the price tag that sits right above a 100 bucks.
thanks for the input. try using stereo jacks and hook it to the rca input...or plugging it in a 100watts bass amp for that extra thud... sad thing the unit isnt available in our area... guess i've no choice but save up for that dd 65... keep rockin... check the awowo site... you guys are the unofficial demo band.
wow thats awesome i never knew that. thanks! but i'm sure you would be happy with either set and if you look i bet you can find a good deal on the yamaha set.
Thanks. Just my stereo, but it does a great job and is much better than using the standard speakers that are built in to the set. All you do is us audio cables and plug them in to the headphone jack.

is it possible to convert the High Hat pedal into bass drums so that we can get double bass drums effect?

I haven't found a way to do this so I don't think so. That would be awesome though.

can you post a video with a shot of the back?
or maybe you could just tell me if it has USB or midi?
the pictures i have seen don't show the back of the controller very well.
i am looking to use this as a midi controller for recording and i want to make sure it has traditional midi or usb connections before i buy it.

It has MIDI in and MIDI out on the back so im sure it would work out great for you.

This was a great review, the techno part was awesome. Have you tried hooking it up to an amp or just your stereo so far?
