Must be out of a full-body from how the pan looks. I don't know if the Riviera pan is different, but I know my 66 Skylark GS has a special pan due to frame differences. Do you know how this set-up performed?
Yup. You are right. This has a center sump pan for a 65 Riviera Gran Sport. The Skylark had a rear sump and diffferent pick up tube as did most of the rest of the Nailhead line.
If anyone else is interested the rockers can be bought here:
It has performance Comp Cam in it. Not too radical as it is going in a street driver. But it does have Telesco (aluminum higher ratio adjustable) roller tip rockers. Engine is well bluprinted. The cam choice is matched to the engine for my application.
I sent mine to Rocker Arm Specialists to make them adjustable. Rollers might be a nice touch, but not having any adjustment was not an option for me. There is something special about these plants; you have to have one for a while to "get it."
Very nice. Just starting a restoration on my 65 Riv GS. Tom will be re-building my carbs.
