I am starting to believe that alot of the OSX_86 hacking releases out there could possibly be controlled by APPLE. It just seems so frustrating to get working for so many people who will give up on suffering through this and decide they need a MAC so badly and go out and buy one than waste hours upon hours of life to trying to get an authorized version working. I'm giving up this ticks me off cause I have 2 G4's that are not 10.5 sup. If I get it to work my opinion will change. 3 PCs all fails.

Exactly the same problem here, try the Voodoo kernel instead. My friend said that works better than the vanilla kernel.

I installed this on a Dell Inspiron 600m but there is a problem. I have all the right specifications. Intel processors 2 gigs ram. So, when it installed and after it restarts the Apple symbol loading screen stays there it doesn't fail, it just keeps loading. I let it sit of 3 hours and still no progress. Can you tell me what is wrong with it?

Probably a video driver problem, try another distro, such as iDeneb.

I've burned the iso at 4x speed and when i'm booting from the disc , the dos boot is complete , the apple logo appears (with a rolling thing) and then a box appears with text : "Please restart your computer .....".

I've restarted 5 times and the same box appears.

What should I do?

But when you add the price of the OS and iLife software suite into it, the whole thing is not that expensive.

(Really, in Windows system, you might have to spend a couple hundred dollars more to get the same functionality.)

I switched to Mac several months ago and I do feel that the machine does worth its price.

And I am not being biased here.

MacOS is not all-perfect as Apple and some stupid Jobs-worship jerks say but when it comes to the price, my Mac was a good buy.

I could go either way, I own an old g4 and a PC, I am currently on a 24"with a 2.8Ghz, blah, blah, blah. Its beautiful. I like PC's because you can get top of the line when you want, you down have to wait. I like macs because they look amazing and leopard looks amazing.

Another comment for people downloading this torrent. Once done, extract the file to your hard disk. IGNORE ALL THE POP-UPS THAT SAYS ITS CORRUPT, EXTRACT IT AND IT WILL WORK, TRUST ME CAUSE I MADE THE SAME MISTAKE!!!!

Just don't install the SSE3 drivers, and you will be fine. (BTW: This is also in the video text explained afaicr)

So im downloading a torrent of this Kalyway 10.5.1 . I have Mac Drive 7 to burn the file to a "Boot Up Disc", and then i have the DVD+R. I'm thinking this is going to work on my PC, my PC is a Dell Dimension E310. It has a Pentium 4 HT Processor and a pretty good Graphics Card. I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP on it a month or two ago not many hardware/virus/problems at all. I have 1.5 GB RAM and 108 GB Hard Disk. Do you think this will work on my CPU?!

download a program called cpu-z and run it on a windows once you see this MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, EM64T you are lucky you have a perfect processor, if u have intel core 2 duo or pentium dual core not pentium d ok! or celeron 4xx sequence you can run EFIv8 with vanilla kernel unmodified! it works perfect for me kalyway 10.5.1 formatted my hdd as guid with EFI and vanilla kernel, my specs: Intel Celeron 420 @ 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 40G ATA HDD, Jetway 945GCDMS-6H Mobo, Intel GMA 950!

I Have a HP media center m8150n. It has 2, 288 GB hard drives. A core 2 Q6600 (4 core) processor, and a nvidia 8400GS.

I have been using vista ultimate on it for quite some time, and all of my files are on this computer. Is there a safe way I can make a dual boot operating system machine, so that it does not damage vista? And How would I go about doing this.

Using an SSE3 processor like an Intel Core 2 Duo yes, everything works the operating system runs 100 % the same as if it were on a mac, iwork ilife photoshop, games you name it all works perfectly, just make sure you select the vanilla kernal if you have SSE3.
