I hate this guy's pronunciation of "pallino." He's supposed to stress the "l." It does not say "palino," but "pallino." Personally I'm not special at it, but it's pretty fun, especially when around other paesanos. I live by Chicago so the bocce ball court is in Norridge.

Well you do not wear protection in bocce ball unless you're a hysterical person and really strict on it. You are not supposed to THROW it to your destination as hard as the host did, you are only supposed to give it a nice low toss, enough for it to reach the desired destination.

I have some nice tips for frequent players, we use cue ball for the Pin "Palino" SP? , recently while at a thrift store we found a box of new pool balls, Cue ball, 8 ball, 2 Bocce or ah 2 Ball etc. these work perfect and are cheap, you can get a cue ball at 5 and below for around 2 or 3 dollars... just a tip for anyone that plays a lot and might need a replacement pin, don't hate over the Bocce Ball correction thing,

"Bocce" means "Ball", so to say "Bocce ball" is like saying, "Ball Ball"... the correct way to say it is just "Bocce" no big deal just a nice way to know the true players from the play players... check out "The Joy of Bocce", or "The Joy of Bocce Ball" for the newbies.

actually bocce is italian for "bowling." but yeah i pretty much agree with you...it irritates me when ppl call it bocce ball, bc we would never say "hey you guys want to go bowling balls?" we would just ask if they wanted to go bowling...but anyway, i love this game, its so addicting, especially when you play it with a big family. nothing funnier that when ur 80 year old grandma out shoots all the young grandkids lol.
