I copied the snake tattoo that's on his chest onto my right breast. At that point, I never even heard his stuff.  I just read an interview in a guitar magazine about him and thought to myself "that's a cool tat. I think that I want that". Now, ironically, I find myself using his signature series slide just because I like the weight of it.

I saw him live at fryshuset in Stockholm once, when he opened for Steve Vai. I was really amazed over this guy, he was one cool guitarist, a great musician and really great with the audience. I was at sweden rock this year, but due to me being stupid, I got drunk and fell asleep just before the concert... :( Well, kudos anyways, he's fantastic.

Jag träffade honom bakom frysan den gången. Stog och tog en cigg med honom. Han var störtskön, men lovade att komma tillbaka året efter, men det gjorde han ju inte såklart. Vai kom också ut och hälsade. Det var fanimej den bästa kvällen i mitt liv :)

Well i didn't notice it when i saw him live, but the sound of the venue was awfull and you couldn't hear anything clearly + i was drunk. But now i saw some videos here and his singing is HORRIBLE.

Eric opened for Johnny Winter at the Filmore(SF)in 02 and he blew the house down.Saw him again at JJ's in SJ a few years later and still play's balls out.Had the chance to meet him on a break and he was soft spoken and down to earth..........He's definitly one of my Favorites!!!

Right with ya bro, I saw him open for Vai as I was with Steve at soundcheck hangin and watchg Vai's band that day in San Diego write some tunes for a show in Tokyo upcoming, well...Sardinas SMOKED his whole set.....and when Vai hit the stage....I left 3 songs into his show (maybe cause I saw him soooo many times ) :) Sardina was a breath of fresh air on 6th gear FULL THROTTLE!

i saw eric open for vai a few years back, i think he put on a better show than steve, it was ridiculous. the man's got skill. you don't even know how good he is until you see him live, that's when he really shows off

You're right. I saw him open for Vai (probably same tour) in Memphis. God damn he was good. In some ways I thought he was like Hendrix. Way way out there. Awesome player.
