Thank you so much, I created a pretty good car out of this tutorial and started messing around with it a bit, and made a Great car for steering!

you dont supposed you could make a new and updated video? this is really helpful and all but with gmod 10 there is some new stuff that i dont really understand because they are different in the video. the main problem is that i dont know what to set the wheels for. in gmod 10 the max torque or whatever is 10.000 and you set the wheel dirsctly on the props unless what you did here... thanks anyway and gj with the vid, cuz as i said: its really helpful

ohsit, posted before watching the whole vid. i mis understood your pronouncement of wheel and weight so i started to wonder what you where doing putting something 50:000 on the props. im kinda new to wiremod too sry ^_^''

You need to record with the "source recorder" to prevent lagging, you have it in the Console just sype "record (title)"

I know how to use the Source recorder and I don't want to. It's not accessible enough, and Fraps applies to all games that I have.

not to be mean but I had to tweak the settings of my smart snap to look like yours. When you change the settings the very bottom slider goes all the way to the left. Should say 2

Why? I know how to use the Source Recorder thank-you-very-much. I prefer to use Fraps however as it takes less time and I can record both video and voice at the same time. I'm not too bothered about the game slowing down occasionally.

fail tutorial... u did not tell us the lengths for the ropes.. therfore my wheel plates where stuck and did not streth or turn...

Uh, yes, I did. You click on where I indicate, and you don't add any length. And if they don't "Streth" or turn, that's your mistake as I've seen many other people make cars this way.

u did not say how much the length should be.. or how much should be added or taken away.. i had to pause it and look at your Q menu to find the specs.. also in other tutorials u tell people to weld the plates to the body?? WRONG if u do that u cant just simply click on both plates and they UNWELD u freeze them... and do not unfreeze untill the ROPES and suspension are on.. if u weld them u cant unweld and therefore no suspension or STEERing.. just plates welded in the air with ropes

Epicly dissed Shaun, lol. I'm doing it in a similar yet diffrent way. I like it how you use the ropes for the steering aswell. I use two props. First to the ropes and second axised to the first one for the wheel turning. I'm using a similar design for the new turrets though. First i'm ballsocketing a plate to another plate, then i lock the roll with a rigid rope.

I just recently realized that you can actually lock certain axises with ropes..

I downloaded your offroad star and your other vehicle packs and there is always at least 2 vehicles that are unusable due to errors....

what props/packs do i need for all of them to work?

All you should need to get them 100% working is PHX3 from the SVN, Wiremod from the SVN, Counter Strike: Source and Half-Life 2: Episode Two.
