It seems as though many people are basing whether or not someone covers their head based on culture. When all Muslim women are required to cover their hair regardless of their culture. Culture may influence one's style but that's pretty much it.

I think it is quite well known, even if no-one will admit it, that the rich gulf states, like the UAE have "prosperity" on the back of cheap labour from south and south east Asia (India, Pakistan, Thailand, Sri-Lanka etc.) - workers who are not guaranteed minimum (or any) wages, who work many hours a week to send money home and very rarely see their families back in their countries. I am sure a simple search on the web will find information on this. That said, UAE is friendly and interesting.
@TheDt1973 Yea UAE indeed use people from Asia as workers, and yea they do pay a a lot for the western people with "expertise". Keep in mind those workers ALWAYS get paid and guaranteed health care as required to get them into the country in first place. They get place to live and a job. Their pay a lot more here than they can make in their own country. In top of that, these workers would never be welcomed to work in your country call them terrorists or being racist but you know it is true.
@TheDt1973 My family got a driver and we support his wife and kids here in our country and he been working for us over 10 years. his maximum work hours per day are 2 hours(that's when he take my bro and sisters to work/school) unless the family decide to go shopping/other city. Not to mention it is safer here than his country. He live better than most poor/homeless people in Europe/America with a long term job too. 1350$ a month. They are treated here better than anywhere in the world

Many of them have been underpaid (many have never recieved any pay at all). There is a lot of "hidden" poverty in Dubai. Yes, it has high buildings. But are they attractive? I don't think so.

I think it is quite well known, even if no-one will admit it, that the rich gulf states, like the UAE have "prosperity" on the back of cheap labour from south and south east Asia (India, Pakistan, Thailand, Sri-Lanka etc.) - workers who are not guaranteed minimum (or any) wages, who work many hours a week to send money home and very rarely see their families back in their countries. I am sure a simple search on the web will find information on this. That said, UAE is friendly and interesting.

Keep in mind those workers ALWAYS get paid and guaranteed health care as required to get them into the country in first place. They get place to live and a job. Their pay a lot more here than they can make in their own country. In top of that, these workers would never be welcomed to work in your country call them terrorists or being racist but you know it is true.

@TheDt1973 My family got a driver and we support his wife and kids here in our country and he been working for us over 10 years. his maximum work hours per day are 2 hours(that's when he take my bro and sisters to work/school) unless the family decide to go shopping/other city. Not to mention it is safer here than his country. He live better than most poor/homeless people in Europe/America with a long term job too. 1350$ a month. They are treated here better than anywhere in the world

I think I might have over generalized in my first comment, but I think you are too when you say they are treated better than anywhere in the world. Your family is clearly a responsible, generous one, but maybe this is not in 100% of cases. Nowhere is perfect.
Also I live in the UK where we have many immigrants, many from Pakistan, India and the Arab world and I have absolutely no problem. You cannot assume I am a racist.

There are also cases from both sides, the bad residents or the bad workers. For example, some maids get physically abused or sexually harassed or other maids who steal or murder someone in the family. No place on earth can escape these kind of people but I would "think" it is less here.

Many of them have been underpaid (many have never recieved any pay at all). There is a lot of "hidden" poverty in Dubai. Yes, it has high buildings. But are they attractive? I don't think so.
