Ferrari may not be relevant to you pritenzy. You can make mods as you want. But if you do not get profit from it - Ie distribute free fashion. but even if you sell fashion - you will not have problems, unless of course your mods will not buy Millions of people.

To license real cars costs a LOT of money.

E.G. to have a Ferrari instead of a Turismo costs in excess of $1,000,000

Then Ferrari would say 'To have us in your game you can't run anyone over'

Or to have Ford in, it'd cost less but they'd say 'The cars can't get damaged'

Would you rather have GTA where you could kill people and run them over in a Turismo that loojke like a Ferraro, or an actual Ferrari that's licensed, but you can't run anyone over or have the car damaged in any way?

Or, suppose they got Porsche in instead of Comet, and Porsche said something like 'Okay we'll be in your game, but you can't kill anyone at all'. Licenses carry restrictions (like for a long time Ferrari HAD t have the best cars in any game it was in)

Say you make a Ferrari F150th mod for GTAIV and put it on the net, then yes, Ferrari could sue you for making it for sure (copyright), as for if you just download one, not sure

Look what happened to Megaupload, that was one site that broke copyright, there's thousands more sites like it, but the law went after one high profile site to scare others (and it works)

Or, in IV terms, if the IV2SA guys get sued by R*, it'd have a ripple effect through the modding community
