having this technology allows people with small garages (like those in the city) or people with ridiculously large pieces of shit like 750il, toyta/lexus land cruiser, ford excursion, etc to fit their cars in their garages (without having to get out like a race-car driver, through the window).

the Corvette had a button on the security remote which would reverse the car backwards at 1mph. that was the mid 90s if not earlier. I think they are smart enough to have this thing start up and reverse... There is a lot of useless gadgets in cars these days especially in Germany where the #1 reason for cars breaking down is electrical failure. But this is actually useful. In Europe where your house was designed 80 years ago, you would want this or you just wouldn't fit a car this size.
