@1337bakon The key to the quality is recording directly to your computer. I have a PODxt Live pedal that connects via USB.

I always thought this wouldn't be a real easy song to play (I've had my guitar for almost 2 years but I've had very little teachings and I've tought myself some but very slowly :P), but as soon as I saw this video and played with it I found that this is pretty easy. It's in Drop D tuning which is the same as standard tuning except your low E string is lowered a whole step to a D note.

Why not? I know I am not the best at tapping but that is how they do it. Look up their live vids of this song. I have seen 3 vids and he taps in all of them. One video he starts out tapping and then switches to picking...sounded the same both ways.

what are the tabs for guitar 2 at 1:25? Every cover I've seen on youtube, the guitar player doesn't bother with bridge (I think that's what they call it) and goes straight to the open strum. What are the notes higher up on the neck at 1:25?

You missed the octave parts where he goes (A string) 5 (D string) X (G string) 7 and moves up the notes just like the tapping part but holds each part for a measure and strums it real fast. Still a good lesson though.

Thanks, just using distortion you have to play around with your setting to get the sound you like best. Intro is all played on the high E string (thinnest string)

I have seen them tap it a few times, I can pick it too but I always get a clicking sound along with it that sounds terrible no matter what settings I have. Definitely does not sound better...with my equipment any way. I think because of the effects.
